Looks good! One area I would like to see is when you have to crawl through a hole so we can see how low you can go with the Katwalk. I know there's a few places in Alyx where you need to do that, which was a problem for the last version. Thanks!
It's possible but still a bit tough. It's not that you can't get low enough. Because you can, it's just that it's kind of hard to move comfortably while in a crouching position.
Hello! Could we see more strafing and stepping backwards? I know you kind of did shown in the Gunman Contract video, but I figure we need a full on video dedicated to show strafing and back-walking instead of a little teaser glimpses like this and previous demos. I think most people want the C2+ to see that it can actually move/strafe left right back, instead of forward only like the previous version. We would love to see all that!
You know, I would be willing to save up for an around 1k device like this - especially considering how exorbitantly expensive the competition is. However, I really would need to find a way to try it first. Being 6'1 and having quite delicate knees 'n stuff I just couldn't blindly go for one unfortunately. Because even if it's still not technically a 99% reproduction of walking in real life, I could imagine this being a huge, *huge* bonus to a lot of games I like to play in VR. Especially for the slower, more narrative driven games, RPG's or games like Alyx.
Hi there, Racen. Thank you so much for your interest in our KAT Walk C 2, and for letting us know your need. As you said, it's definitely a bonus for VR gamers who pursue a more natural and immersive walking experience. There are several VR Arcades offering KAT Mini S in the US, which is a bit different from KAT Walk C 2(+). But so far, we indeed do not have any approach to trying KAT Walk C 2(+) before buying. We could only recommend you check more feedback from other users if you don't mind. Please feel welcome to join our Discord community at: discord.gg/kCyZDjCePB Looking forward to your understanding
I have a question I have the c2+ and I’m enjoying it but when playing Half life Alyx specially I’m have to constantly recalibrate the direction. I notice it especially when any dialogue happens in game, as if for that moment the kat gateway software is separated, is this normal? I also notice it in Skyrim whenever I access a menu, but in HLA it’s worse.
Hi there! It does seem odd and entering a cutscene should not affect the directional calibration. Please, feel welcome to get in touch with us at service@katvr.com Our technicians will do their best to help you out with this!

Agreed. 00:32 you can see some strafing but it looks kinda funny. I would like to see back stepping too please
I pledged the C2+. Really hope it's not a let down
You can see him back stepping around the 2 minute mark.
2:00
Strafe like you do in real life. The goal is real life movement. Not not pressing a key that magically slides you sideways.
Thank you KAT VR for making a video highlighting strafing, walking backwards, and other non conventional ways of movements!
what's the time stamp that he is walking backward?
2:03
Starting from 2:00, he opens the door, and then backs away.

This guy has the best job. =)
Wait... YOU CAN CATCH LIVE HEADCRABS WITH YOUR HANDS?!
How else are we supposed to cook them?
I couldn’t do it!
Can't wait until Apex legends comes out for VR
I just got the core. A "setup" video of the settings for Alyx would be great for noobs.
