Buy cheap combo: Polar H10 belt, and Free Elite HRV app (Bluetooth 5.0) , so you get the level of body battery each morning😄

Thank you! Over the past 6 months we've worked very hard to make that happen. We have actually cancelled our own year schedule earlier this year and decided to release the KAT Walk C months after the initial plan. Only after we have managed to make our solution truly innovative! : )

This actually looks pretty great. I don't like the movement in Half Life: Alyx, and this seems like the perfect pace for it. I could see games with very fast run speeds not being as immersive though.

Thats exactly how my setup is. 3080 ti, 5950x amd, 32 gig ram. Bro w the cat walk c2 and the index which is being delivered. I bought the nofio wireless adapter for the index to make it a better headset than the meta quest 4.

When all the kinks are worked out, I do feel I would pay at most 800 euros for it. I do hope the retail version will go for that.
Yeah, it can't be more than that. PSVR2 with foveated rendering, will bring AAA games and graphics. Realistically, as you also need a $US500 PS5, a headset that probably costs as much...I wouldn't expect many people to pay much more than that again to complete the package.
I hope one day to be sponsored be these guys.. I love VR and I would get the word out about this.

How does this compare to the other models? Since it's newer tech will it be better? Or does the other models also come with the tech this one has? And may I ask if you are planning on making another high end model? Or will you be updating/upgrading your other models as time goes by
This one doesn’t allow u to walk backwards naturally like the Mini does, you have to put one foot back behind the other

This is definitely not a time-limited product. KAT Wak C will be available on retail say after the Kickstarter is over and the crowdfunding units delivered. The retail price will however be slightly higher than the Kickstarter one

@@maxthesavage9910 to be fair to katwalk that was in a huge echoey room with concrete floor, i imagine in a smaller room with carpet or just a rug underneath the sound won't seem half as bad as it did in the video.

It looks like there’s a little bit of drift after the player stops walking IRL, is this an issue with camera sync or is it meant to be?

I think there's a mode where you hold your foot up and it'll move automatically for you. Maybe it's trying to decide if he's doing that you can prob change the settings

vr headset vr treadmill vr suit and now i feel the headset on my head the heat from my headset on my head the smooth walking when i'm going up stairs or on gravel in game the strap around my waste from the vr treadmill i feel the vr suit on my body and the controls in my hands and yet somehow the immersion factor goes up by 100 percent vs a vr headset by itself still because finally you have enuff inputs close to real life coming through it just makes you want more way more everyone and their mother will after trying that set up with vr headset at its best vr treadmill being passable and a vr suit at its best will want way more but because its your body doing all the heavy lifting some will be only able to play for 30m. before getting tired do to body strength and some 2 hours some 4,6,8 hours but all will want more of it but it still might not catch on because a lot of the gaming community work 8 to 12 hours a day 5 days out of the week and are just ready to sit at home and play a game or watch tv and relax after a long day of moving so we might have to wait for full dive to become a thing for everyone to get on board with it still if by 2030-2035 you can get a good vr headset a good vr treadmill and a good vr suit for $1000 dollars in a bundle my guess is half of all gamers in there 5-25 years of age will have that bundle and use it on a regular basis until they meet the joys of the full-time work grind

does it have haptics? like if say a large enemy is walking towards you and vibrates the ground, will you feel it in your feet? Jurassic park style. also i remember it being on the loud side has that been improved any?
If the stretch goals are met then yes it will have haptics.

How much is game pack?
What if I want to sit and jump . What about swimming.
I tried the virtuix omni and that was shit. A lot of people I know who tried it feel the same. This doesn't seem much different from the omni but I really hope that I'm wrong because it would be so cool to be able to naturally walk in VR.
I do believe this is miles better Although the tech will be a bit buggy in the beginning, but it can only get better from this point forward 💪

Half-Life Alyx has a single walking speed. Does the KAt C software overrride the walking speed in game based on how fast you are actually walking?
If it doesn't, I'm absolutely positive someone will mod it in

Although KAT Walk C supports analog speed, we cannot provide it for the games that do not feature this function. This depends entirely on the in-game mechanics and is impossible to override with hardware
@@KATVR Fair enough. What about the decoupling of the head and body? Does it override that? Considering most vr games only has direction based on the HMD or one of the hand controllers.
I guess for now we will have to walk slower or faster.. But as it becomes more mainstream Developers will probably optimize for it

@@hohosbebbe1232 Haha the Index is worth it, I can't tell you about the treadmill yet because I just got it about a month ago and haven't been able to use it much. I will say that what little I have played on the treadmill has been pretty amazing.

How realistic is the walking?
I want an X-Com remake on VR and with KatVR. Imagine dropping into multiple missions killing invading aliens, recovering their bodies etc. Flying the interceptors to shoot UFOs, then entering them and exploring them etc.

My wife is 5 feet. Sad that this can't be adjusted to accommodate her. Can't justify buying one if she's not able to use it as well.

@@locobusters I definitely don't think a VR machine with delay would raise 10x the goal on Kickstarter. If you see a delay I'm 95% sure that's because of youtube or that the editing might have accidentally been out of sync.

I know RND is costly and you are making the first of this kind product for consumer.
Also you want first believers and backers of your brand to have a serious discount (explaining why you could lose money at 700)
But if 1000 isn't the final price and product will cost 1,6 time the cheapest option, I "feel like" I'm paying too much for the same object.
As you said, you can't (yet) deliver a product for all wallet.
But I believe it's already a huge step forward for consumer/enthusiast VR and Kat-walk
