They have such a great sound. "Hummingbird" seems the natural next, then "We May Never Pass This Way Again" and " Diamond Girl," some of their most popular. For something a little different and fun, try "Dust on My Saddle."

Too right! We should all ask ourselves how a genre can be so popular if it all sucks! Great song and reaction btw! The Isley Brothers also did a great cover of Summer Breeze! How about reacting to Diamond Girl by Seals and Crofts or How Long (Has This Been Going On) by Ace!

Great song, i prob haven't heard it in like 20 years lol.. only other song from them that comes to mind is "Diamond Girl" they had a nice groove like you said but they really didn't make the phenom category for whatever reason, maybe it was just because the competition of the time was so stacked with talent..

I was ten in 1972 when this song came out, unlike myself, this song hasn't aged at all, it is timeless, it gets better with age. New subscriber, saw this video and it was an instant subscription. Jason Mraz does a very respectable cover of this song as well, which is tricky when you try to add something or change something about an already perfect song.
Love you, love your take on stuff, now I'm off to see every single one of your other videos. Do you do movie reactions as well? Hope so!
    5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Chod, if this is your sound you're lookin' for you may want to add some David Gates/Bread ("Diary" or "If") to that playlist ;) . Not sure if you've checked out The Association ("Cherish" or "Never My Love") yet, they'd also probably fit. England Dan and John Ford Coley ("Diamond Girl" or "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight"), Gordon Lightfoot (If You Could Read My Mind"), Trapeze ("Coast to Coast"), Michael Martin Murphy ('Wildfire"), Looking Glass ("Brandy") all have pretty much a similar laid-back feel.

England Dan and John Ford Coley, "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight", "We'll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again", "Nights Are forever Without You", and "Sad To Belong".
And a couple of fun 70s soft rock bands, that both had a few hits, that no one seems to do reactions to are-
Pablo Cruise (Whatcha Gonna Do?, A Place In The Sun, Love Will Find a Way, I Go To Rio)
Firefall (You Are The Woman, Cinderella, Just Remember I Love You, Strange Way, Headed For A Fall)

Hi Chod, love your channel, this was an awesome song, could I please make a suggestion... I don't think you have to go into the same shpeal every time talking about your drumming, and jazz and all the stuff you that you keep repeating on every one of your videos, we get it, just greet everyone and get into your video and reaction, your videos will flow much better, rather than the same old stories again, and again...... And ..... Wait for it..... Again.

Studio before live version is the best way to go. Perfect example of why is Led Zeppelin, while their live performances are indeed amazing they were notorious for taking artistic liberties during live performances so a first listen is best done to studio first. Great classic here though.

Such an iconic summer playlist song! It was played continuously on radio stations across the country in the 70's. And I've always thought the song captures and encapsulates the innocents and simple life of the time period that began to erode in the 80's. Whenever I want to reminisce upon my childhood growing up in the 70's all I have to do is put this song on.

Picture being 19 in 1978 with friends flipping a Frisbee in the park and a magnum of an effervescent blueberry wine called Moody Blue in 'Solo' cups. June, sunshine, in shorts, barefoot in the park by the Columbia River in Trail, British Columbia (Canada). Oh yeah... Takes me back! Thanks! :)(:

Hello..My first time on you're network listening to a catchy melody by Seals & Croft, but tinged with sadness because i've read that Jim Seals has passed away, They were in the same bracket as England Dan & John Ford Coley but didn't chart here in the UK, In the mid 70s the then BBC Radio 1 breakfast show host Noel Edmonds tried to champion them to the listeners always playing Summer Breeze, I'll Play For You & Closer to You...R I P Mr Seals thanks for the melodies

Oh god, haven't heard this for years, too many people only relate this with the Isley Brothers, while good I still love Seals & Croft, I spent many a Sunday going through my Dad's record collection, using the huge Brass needled Radio Phonograph, this was always on the play list (our playlist was a stack of 10 records on a spline spindle, waiting for the "click, clunck, whirr thunk" of the next 45 dropping onto the steel and felt record deck "hiss crackle"
"SUMMER BREEZE, crackle, MAKES ME FEEL FINE....🎵🎶🎶

An almost forgotten version of this song, overshadowed by the Isley's version, but just lately, has received renewed airplay, in the UK.!

Sure, studio first. Two exceptions where the live version came to the public's attention before the studio version. Bob Seger's "Turn the Page" from his live album from 1976, "Live Bullet", and Peter Frampton's "Show Me the Way" from "Frampton Comes Alive." Both were played extensively on the radio and renewed interest in the studio versions.

You have to do England Dan and Ford Coley “ I really want to see you tonight” it’s the same vibe as this great song!!
Also the 70s R&B group the Main Ingredient did a really great version of Summer Breeze as well please check both of these songs out PLEASE!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I’m a new subscriber 60 year old black woman who was a music lover from day one...I listened to everything...my era was the 60s and 70s and I always loved jazz as well. As you know jazz is a very complex style of music and i feel jazz musicians are very high level intelligence, I so admire that genre. When I was little I was into of course the Jackson five but I also begged my mom for Nat king Coles greatest hits at the age of 12! I could go on but I just want to tell you the same thing I tell the other young reactors I follow, I LOVE SEEING YOUNG PEOPLE DISCOVER MUSIC THAT THEY WERE NOT EXPOSED TO! ♥️♥️
Best of luck to your channel looking forward to getting to know you, your other followers and I will be sending more requests...I’m patient I won’t bug you😂
One more thing I loooove that you don’t interrupt the music...I follow 4 or 5 other reactors only one interrupts bugs me but I’m use to it and he does it for a reason, but some I had to jump off when they interrupt 4 sometimes 5 times to just chat about nothin!🤦🏽‍♀️
    Take care and thank you!

This song is "my sister's kitchen in her old country house" for me. Everytime I walk in that kitchen, I'm like "Alexa, play me some Summer Breeze"...lol

These guys are so talented. SO many great songs. Hummingbird, I'll Play For You, We May Never Pass This Way Again, Diamond Girl, Get Closer. Always love the sound of the mandolin on their songs.

Seals was the brother of "England Dan" (later Dan Seals in 80s country music) of England Dan and John Ford Coley and the only song I can think of theirs is "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight". 👍👍

Definitely some good Seals and Crofts song. You should also try Jim Seals younger brother's group, England Dan (Seals) and John Ford Coley.

There are 2 other "major" Seals & Crofts songs. You will want to add them both to your playlist.
    "Diamond Girl"
    and
"Get Closer" (their last major hit)
Seals & Crofts were part of the '70s "soft rock" standard. They were most active in the early and mid-decade, but their songs retained their fame into the following decades. [More accurately: IF you were "raised on" or listened to these songs as a kid, you, generally, came back to them (even if they left your "interest spectrum" for some while, in-between 😜😉) and recalled them fondly, in the future (Naturally, there are always exceptions, but I would venture that this applies to a majority of such individuals. 👍)].
Both Jim Seals and Dash Crofts became devotées of the Ba'hai faith (I may be misspelling that. Apologies.) and retired from music in 1980.
Additional, "connected" trivia: Jim Seals' younger brother, Dan was, in fact, the "England Dan" of: England Dan & John Ford Coley; who, also, scored numerous hits in the 1970s, themselves. -The best known of which, would be: "I'd Really Love To See You, Tonight".
Most people never knew of any relationship between Seals & Crofts and England Dan & John Ford Coley (save, perhaps, that they were played on the same radio stations 😜😋). Suck things weren't much-publicized back then. Dan Seals, sadly, passed away in 2009.
Both Jim Seals and Dash Crofts are alive and well, today.

Gives me a warm feeling taking me back to 1972. Great memories. That’s what 60’s and 70’s music does for me. Thx

A suggestion for your vibing playlist: "Have You Never Been Mellow?" by Olivia Newton-John. My ultimate de-stressing song.

If you enjoy that type of music, you'll love Seals brothers group. His brother is England Dan (Dan Seals) of England Dan and John Ford Coley. I've always loved both groups music and I think you will also. Hope you check out them out as well.
