    I hate when people try to fool people and sell fake stuff, especially Gems, when you're trying to get the real stuff. I just avoid all that and I'm going to tell them and I would suggest you tell any merchant that tries to sell you something .."well I usually afterwards like to take the stuff to a gem lab" that usually will alert them ,get them out of selling faulty stuff and trying to trick and cheat people

    certainly the most reliable method in this video is determining the density of the stone. but the most effective, quickest and easiest method that has been practiced from ancient times up to the present, which is not in this video, is trial by hair strand. This is simply by taking a hair strand and wrapping it around the stone. Then try burning the part of the hair that clings to the stone with a lighter or a candle. If the hair doesn't burn then it's definitely 100% real jade. No other matter that has ever exist in this world got this property except jade.

    Idk but here in Hawaii there's 2 ways to check jade if its real or fake. I was told that real jade is always cold. You hold the jade in your hand then close your hand for about 5 minutes it'll still feel cold. The second way is take a lock of hair make sure it's long then wrap the hair around the jade then with I cigarette lighter put the flame of the lighter to the hair that's wrapped around the jade. If the hair doesn't burn that jade is real. But if it burns it's fake jade

      Quartzite fake jade is also cold, cannot be scratched by metal and hair burn shit only detects plastic beads.
      Acutally you can skip the hair and burn the bead straight up.

    If you travel to China there are hundreds of shops selling stones of all kinds (including Jade) they all come with a Honk Kong Jade and Stone Laboratory Certificate, just like the one show in this video. BUT, at the prices they are selling the Jade for they cannot be real, I saw Jade bangles for as low as $2.

    Very good video! However, I want to point out one mistake there. The term "Feicui" include jadeite, omphacite, and Kosmochlor jade. As a result, if a chinese or hongkong certificate say the last piece is A grade Feicui. It is not wrong. GIA may seperate jadeite, omphacite, and Kosmochlor jade. Up to I know, chinese and hongkong certificate do not distinguish them unless customer asked for it.
    Also, for the bracelet, the picture on the certificate and the real piece do not look the same. I suspect the merchant was using certificate of another bracelet to fool the customer. For my personal experience, both chinese and hongkong certificate are pretty good. However, many Jade merchant are not reliable. If the certificate are provide by merchant, it can be a fake certifate or certificate of another piece. If the certificate is obtained by yourself, then the Chinese orgnazation did made a mistake for sure.

    I am guessing the bracelet is treated & dyed bc it is "fake looking" to me. Also that the ring is real, bc a real jadeite stone could be put in any setting, such as a fake one like the ring. & it wouldn't make it any less real. I think the Buddha looks real but am guessing clarity enhanced. & that the pendant is real. I am just an "average" collector who loves jade-mostly green untreated type A jadeite. 5 type A green jadeite pendants, 1 type B+C multicolored jadeite segment bracelet, 3 nephrite bracelets & 1 bangle (nephrite: carved, mint green), 2 silver & 1 gold green type A jadeite rings. (All of which are 1 sz. too big.) I do not really have a reputable jeweler here-espsecially in jade. Can you please tell me how much it might cost to get a small ring tested? Because I saw one that if it is real, even clarity-enhanced, it might tide me over until I can figure out how to get my 14k gold jadeite ring sized w/o damaging the stone. I bought all these pieces in the 90s & around 2000. Thank you so much for the informative video & any advice you could give me!

    the bracelet is so fake as what we say ‘fake with first look’. the white one is of course real, because it is in so low quality, if you are a fake maker you will not produce so cheap ones. the shape of leaf is nice but the color is too dark, even the large silver colored k-gold at its back side can’t save.

    A couple of questions. I am under the impression that jadeite b-jade discolors badly after a year or two of frequent wear. If this is so, I would classify the stone as worthless.
    Also, it seems that nearly all of the "Hand carved" jade pieces are, in fact, carved completely by automation using equipment from CNC. Is this the case as well.? No artistic handwork, just computer carved.?

    • @corgems3951
      @corgems3951  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      *B-Jade*
      The latest-technology polymers used for type b jade are generally stable, and type b jade isn't "worthless;" is just worth much less than comparable type A jade (between 90 - 98% less).
      *CNC jade carving*
      CNC machining can actually be more expensive/time-consuming in many cases. Yes, some carvings are done using CNC; however, CNC requires recalibration/adjustment if the rough pieces are not uniform. Another issue with CNC for jade is that, unlike metal, jade has varying hardnesses and cracked/damaged areas.
      As jade rough varies considerably in sizes, the quickest method is generally handing carving using power tools. A carver can also compensate for issues unique to the jade rough, i.e., cracks.

      @@dclxvi7960 Unfortunately, most certificates are fake. Even if the QR code works, they can still be fake (more often than not). Most of the QR codes on these "certificates" lead you to websites that pretend to be reputable gem testers. In reality, they simply mass produce fake "jade", put pictures of the mass produced "jade" on the website, make a QR code (which is so easy that anyone can do) linking to said image, and then print a fake certificate. Even if they give you a product code or something to enter on their website, just know that that can be easily faked. Unless you're using actual reputable websites like the ones this channel mentioned, you probably have been scammed. It'd be naive to think that these certificates are real; they're so easy to fake that anyone who can make a website and has a printer can do so.
