Danny, watch your video tips this morning and took them to the driving range this afternoon. Major improvement with the driver compared to last weeks practice session. Straighter drives and longer distance. Thanks for making this game a little easier for me today.

Will work on it - I personally don't use any of your practice plans, but watch those clips of interest several times while practicing some weeks long. Your explanations are worth spending a small bit of gratitude every time and again. Hope many more of your followers and "unknown students" will make their way and pay back to you this way - at least a bit.

I watch your videos almost every day. And I take those lessons to the course. I went from shooting almost 30 over (on 18 holes) to 10 over. Quite the improvement so I’m impressed. I’m still fading the ball more than I want and I’m not quite getting the distance I want… but small improvements are victories! Thank you sir!!

Danny, I want to thank you very much for this video. I’ve been really struggling for any distance and slicing the life out of it all year. I took your advice about grip and club face positioning and today hit between 30-50 yards longer and straight! Massive difference that I can now repeat. There were a few left pulls but I can work on that

Danny I have to say that this video and your recent video on how to strike your irons, with a first person view of wrist action and your explanations of body movement are 2 of the best instructional videos I have seen. The first person view from your eyes is such a light bulb moment for me, to get clarity on what my wrists should be doing to get it “right” at and through impact. The box exercise with driver is simple but wow how effective re immediate feedback. Again brilliant instructional videos. Thank you.

Danny I’ve watched a lot of your video but this one is loaded with information. I can’t wait to practice this one. My driver is my consistent club in my bag. I rarely miss fairways and get good distance but could use a tad, not much, more distance. I wish I could come see you in person. I’m a visual person, it would be so nice to have you videotape and analyze my swing. You are an excellent instructor for a good student like me. Again, thank you for your channel. ❤

This updated video has really been helpful to me. I very often pull to the left. I now have clear focus on the square face at strike, feeling the right moves during warm up swings, plus allowing the the head to snap through at impact instead of steering it has given me more consistency. I now know what I did wrong if the outcome is poor.

I smiled as I had the same thought--my straight drives go 270-290, and I have maybe 3-4 per round at this stage--ironically, one of those is usually on the first tee when I'm still not "swinging full." There's a lesson in there, me thinks, as in how to internalize the notion that that good swing on the first tee is to be repeated--not outdone.

Danny, thank you for another insightful lesson. I particular liked the view from head looking down at the wrists. I find that I really need to focus on managing the wrists through the hitting zone to get a good feel on how to square the club face better. Perhaps a more focused session on this, with the camera exclusively showing the view of your wrists, and how they rotate through the swing zone, as you see it from your eyes, might be worth considering, as I think this would help a lot of golfers understand what we should be doing. Love the box drill. Thanks again.

This is massive for me, the feeling of the club releasing and getting ahead of my eyes, the snap etc, has improved my driver a lot, and this video reinforces the value in doing that. It also keeps my elbows tight together and to my body; my on course miss when I have more tension is the lead elbow separating from my body, I guess this would be guiding the shaft through - leading me to hit a big block.
    Love your teaching style.

Well i tried this out today Danny and by snapping my right wrist through the ball just before the impact zone and hovering the club infront of the ball instead of resting the bottom of the club on the ground it made a dramatic difference. I decided to play 9 holes but carried on and finished 18 because i had so much fun driving off the tee today . I was blown away when my garmin s62 read 255 yards when it normaly reads 225. My ball flight was more mid flight rather than high .
Thx for these feeling tips it certainly did add distance and i found 70 % more fairways today.
    Much appreciated Danny .

Another great video clearly explained and part of a great series. I have been basically doing this for a couple of weeks after watching previous videos and trying to think. I found I was hanging back on right, and remembered to turn back but then swung inside losing the face completely. Making sure I didn’t hang back, hit through and feeling the club face through my wrist position (and doing the pre hit routine of this is what I want it to feel like) just worked brilliantly. Thanks Danny.

Another great instructional video. I'm still new to this game and just picked up my first driver and slice it well over 80% of the time. one of my golf buddies told me that I get my hips too far ahead of my swing and that is resulting in a open face. Also, have too much old baseball finish (on my back foot and leaning back). will give this drill a try to slow things down and square that face. Thanks you do a great job.

Love this!!! I just had shoulder and bicep tendon surgery in February and I am just starting with 1/2 to 3/4 punch shots! This video goes great with that because you are getting straight max distance for those punch shots as you feel the move through impact! Great video and I needed this today!

Excellent video! I've been struggling with the driver. The video you did with your Dad, where you had him rotate his shoulder and hips a bit open in the stance really started to make a difference for me (slicer). But even with that I have difficulty squaring the club face. I feel like the drills in this one will help with that issue. Thanks for these and all your videos. A great help for us.

@@DanielMaude After struggling with a driver slice for years, using your instruction and a few practice sessions, I finally realized that my left arm was breaking down during the down swing causing me to cut across the ball. If I'm mindful of keeping my arms straight in both up and down swing (extension), I am able to hit some consistently good shots. Either straight or a nice draw. I have a bit more confidence, and my miss is now more of a hook 😃... I hope this thinking sounds right to you. Thanks again.

Danny - you’re videos are spot on. And - I will implement this drill. But - please help me understand what “casting” is? If it’s not throwing the club like you demonstrate here - what is it? I looked thru previous comments and couldn’t find any related to this.

It’s a term that is really misunderstood. It’s often referred to the wrists releasing too early in the downswing.

Amazing how many times one of your lessons corresponds with one of my issues that I am working on. I found for myself that my grip, especially my right (lower) hand was turned underneath into a very strong position. When I swung "correctly" I hit a hook. After that everything was a series of compensations. With a neutral grip I am able to hit straight(er) shot when I give a full release. I love the way you show the release as a vertical motion. It provides a great image and feel.

This was really helpful. Going through the difference in the iron shot was really great, because that called out something I knew was wrong but didn't realize when i had suddenly lost 70 yard on my driver. I've been subconsciously swinging it like a 5 iron. Thanks Mr. Maude! Can't wait to apply this in the backyard into the net.

Just gotta say that with all of the driver instruction I have followed I still was not comfortable with the results UNTIL your take away move with the right gluteus going back and loaded has revolutionised my drives. I now have to only be aware of the tendency to go too much to the left, but 90% of drives now straight down the shute or a slight fade; all of that with better distance. Bless you my man. When are you coming up to Scotland ?
