My original runcam nano 2 on that tinyhawk was not as good as the one in the test. Somehow even though I have two same tinyhawks, one had a better camera than the other one. It would get dirty everytime after a wipeout so had to open it up and clean it and the sun would have a black dot what I refer to as a solar eclipse. These starlight cameras should be the norm. 1st. The Baby Ratel really works very well. I noticed that during the daylight test, that there was some over sharpness on the Baby Ratel. Other than that, it's an awesome FPV camera. Excellent review Pete!! :)
It is really good. I love the way it brightens up under the shade of a tree and when approaching the shady areas. Night flying is a plus! :) Thanks Alan! 🍺🍺👊
Thanks again, I just wasted $20 bucks for the runcam. I just finished my 3in larva racing frame and I have 4 Caddx Ratel starlights and love them. I have been flying at night during the Summer and on a full moon I have no problem with seeing. Thanks again for the information and video
A bit of an old video so not sure if I'll get a response, but is it possible to only plug in the 3 pin connector to the tinyhawk freestyle 2, and leave OSD wires unused? Want a bit of a camera upgrade but I'm only just beginning to solder and dont want to solder anything on my current only quad. I had noticed the 3 pin connector of the baby ratel 2 is wired the same way the runcam nano 2 is. If you happen to see this thank you again for the video! Very informative
Hi Pete, another great review. Do you know if the red and yellow cameras differ at all and is there a way of knowing if one is a standard or starlight version? Or are both startlight irrespective of colour. Thanks for any help on this... stay safe
great review, thank you very much for the comparison. the caddx looks sooo good compared to the runcam, would you still recommend this as an upgrade for the TH2FS, or is there another option you may have selected or upgraded to? sorry for all the questions, did you have to have any extra cables/connectors to hook up with what was in place already in the tinyhawk? did you have to solder, etc?

Yes, you don't have to use the osd unless you want to connect to the joypad to change settings.

The one I'm using on the tinyhawk is the Rush Tiny Tank. A very good transmitter.
Rush the best trio band. Featuring Geddy Lee on Bass and vocals.
I like this transmitter it has no cutoffs or lines on the video.👍
