I was debating between the Tinyhawk 2 race and the freestyle. Really liked the freestyle but the tinyhawk 2 race had all the upgrades. Luckily my indecisiveness worked out, now with the freestyle 2 I have the best of both worlds. Pulled the trigger on the freestyle 2. Thanks for the review
I am wondering why you decided yourself for the Freestyle other than the Race ? I can't decide myself
Michael Dudikoff based off of reviews flight times is longer with the freestyle 2, It also has a bigger frame and props, top mounted batteries and IMO I like the look of the freestyle 2 a lot better than the race 2.
So with the upgraded camera and vtx and you get two set of props instead of one like with the race 2, this was a no brainer for me. Hope this helps.
@@constantelev8tion1 Yep being able to fit 2.5'' props is huge and a lot more options, unfortunately I ordered the Race 2 literally the day before the Freestyle 2 came out, feelsbad
Sidak S Aww man. I was real close a couple times to ordering the race 2 but something always backed me off. But look at it this way two is better than one. Maybe get both?

First, thanks for the video review, it was helpful. Second dem some skill booiii. You did a few things in your freestyle I've never seen before. I watch Mr Steele and a bunch of others, so I seen a quite a bit. That rotation as you went up and slid back off the roof was pretty nice. And that pitching up to look at the tree then backing out also very cool. Very nice flying.

I looked back at my first flight video with this and realized that mine came with a bad gyro. I thought back then the wobbling was just the fact that I sucked at flying. So I just removed everything except for the frame and motors and replaced every thing. A 35a F4 AIO board. Foxeer toothless 2 starlight cam, 400mw vtx, crossfire nano and 2540 props. This thing is awesome now. It flies smooth now and I have no worries about popping an esc when I use turtle mode.

This is what the first model should have been.
Its almost 100% you were on 200mW (according to your OSD R:4:200) or is it the OSD s.audio vtx mapping has been screwed up in BF. Great little review and flight. I would probably try it with a two blade 65mm HQ prop setup. Might worth a try if you have a set.

Do you have to unlock the vtx every time?
How do you adjust the camera with the two screws that are on each side and the camera and what tool do you use to undo the screws how come they don’t give you a wrench to undo the screws with the kit ? I don’t even know why they don’t give you a tool. and I don’t have the tool size to undo the screws to take the propellers off or anything!
What does toothpick mean? Im german and like I know what it means when you directly translate it but what does it mesn in context with drones?

Great drone...can you show us how to solder Flysky rx instead Frsky? I think It can.
If you'd call this an intermediate quad - what would be an advanced quad? Personally I find flying these tiny quads a lot harder to fly compared to a good ol five inch quad... Especially since most of the Sims used for training before flying have 5 inch physics.

Hi, i am very new at drones and ive been wondering if my lipo batteries arent being used if i should worry about them exploding/catching on fire? Or does the risk only comes when charging?
Storage charge them, but they aren't that dangerous

I have every Tinyhawk since oringinal. I just finished mods to my freestyle. It’s actually the most recent video on my channel you should check it out. I like Emax can’t wait to buy a babyhawk r pro. Soon!!

No, it’s stays unlocked unless you re lock it by holding the button when power on a second time

Hello just got this drone and i cant seem to get my propellers to spin. I tried to bind but only controller and goggles work. The drone wont do anything besides beep
if the goggles work. First put them on, Second ... throw the drone as hard as you can. You won't have much control but I guarantee you won't out fly your video range.
I know my comment isn't helpful (cause i have no idea how to fix your drones issue) but hopefully I made you laugh.

How do you get the fpv footage of the drone?
Noob question. What would happen if I flew this on 3s? More generally, what decides the cell limit on a quad? The ESC? Would want to try to put an insta360 go on it.
I'm not sure if the board can take the input. It probably could but obviously if it pops you're out of luck. Definitely would need to limit motor %.
It is an 1-2s board so i don't thing it is an good idea to run it on 3s. But you can always try it.

If your question still remains unanswered, you could probably get a football field or so with good antenna placement :)
I've had REALLY bad luck with my Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle unfortunately. First on the 8th battery pack a motor broke on a pretty light crash onto grass with no visible damage, but then the motor just stuttered! so then I had to wait 40 days for a spare motor and I installed it and fly 10 packs, until I crash on concrete from about 3 meters in the air (flew into a tree and the quad just fell to the ground with no extra energy apart from the fall) and it landed on an arm (there's a little scratch on it now, even all 4 props are fine) aand the AIO board is COMPLETELY DEAD. it won't even power up from USB and nothing works any more. From free fall from 3 meters! what?? I'm never buying an emax product again, as they seem to have really low durability and use specific mounting patterns (The motors have a unusual one AND the aio board) so you basically HAVE to buy THEIR parts to replace faulty ones. you can't just buy a normal toothpick AIO board because it won't fit and you can't buy standard 1103 or 1104 motors because again they won't fit!
For anyone looking to buy the Th2 freestyle, I'd seriously recommend NOT getting it for the reasons listed above. IMO there are plenty of options that are in the same class (micro/toothpick), price range, and perform just as well or better. And with those you'll then have the possibility to upgrade, should you run into problems with the original parts or if the brand decides to stop producing spares because most of them use standard mounting patterns.

It's a nice quad to practice on, but you'd probably be better off using a simulator then a 5inch quad if your intention is to carry a gopro.

Weird!! why wouldn't emax just improve the tinyhawk 2 whoop instead? It has way better aesthetic design and great efficiency with the motors inverted. Furthermore, move on to an xt30 and make it a 3" already, geez. What a waste! Another fail emax.... Emax, let me know if you need a new designer consultant.
