Looks so simple to do the mountain but so amazing when it's finished and that's even before painting. Btw your channel is one of my favourites. Keep up the great work!!
Hi Tris, love your free spirit approach, enjoying creating and running trains, what could be better? I so enjoy watching your episodes and listening to your description of what you are up to. Thanks.
Belated Happy Birthday and have to say I the Class 33 looks very good I have the weathered version and I am very pleased with it . Good to see the 3D printer in action and the work on the OO9 layout looks really good ...Cheers Kev
3:18 You have a "Magic Train" Stainz loco ! I have a few items , freight and passenger, that i have modified and painted to resemble Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway . Difficult to get hold of now it's no longer produced , items have reached "silly money" levels . I think Hoe is the best of both worlds - O size but runs on OO track , super job !
Brilliant update trist do like birthday present heljan locos are awesome I got 2 class 58 and they are great puller's. Loving the oo9 cave you was working on that will fantastic when finished. Take care see you soon 👍
Hi Tris, main reason for slow running are the modern five pole motors. I have seven of the Heljan 33s and some are a few years old, they all run beautifully, some are dcc chipped (one sound chipped) my favourite diesel. Fun with a glue gun! As you said make it up as you go along, you'll find the best way to do things by trial and error plus a sense of achievement when you are happy with the result. Stay safe, look forward to the next video.
Thank you Chris, that’s good to know. It puts the older models to shame but it shows how well models have been coming on over the years. I’m enjoying making a mess and seeing what comes from it. Thank you for watching and commenting, stay safe 😊
Hi Tris another great episode, interested in seeing how you decorate the rocks as i am about to start doing mine by the way those end of track bits work very well thank you and good luck with the rest of your build Regards Alan Massie
Another great show Tris. The 009 layout is coming along nicely. The new Heljan loco looks nice, I wouldn’t mind getting one myself probably in BR green.
I would recommend a Heljan 33. I bought one a couple of years back in CE Dutch livery. Possibly the nicest loco I've ever had, lovely runner too. Ended up buying a second in BR Blue.
Another great video, Tris. Watching your series over lockdown has inspired me to get back into model railways after a few years away. I'm even considering adding a oo9 slate mine in the future. Keep up the good work!
Enjoyed your video what had a lot of content. I will wait until all the rocks around the tunnel mouth are painted before I say too much, the only thing I would like to say is the large black rock to the right of the tunnel mouth does not like quite right, but as I said I will wait until it is all painted. Regards and stay safe. Greg from Australia.
Happy belated Birthday. Love the new loco. Great work on the rocks. It’s given me some good ideas for my viaduct area too. 😉. PS. Also bought the same plaster cloth a few months ago. Couldn’t believe the price!!
Great episode covering a range of interesting stuff! Love the 33, you are possibly the first to pronounce 'Heljan' correctly haha...look forward to the next. Thanks
Suggestion. Is an extension of the 009 track a possibility? In the corner of the layout by the next curve, would a tourist attraction with a passenger station be a great addition to the 009 railroad?
Great episode, though seem to get a lot of adverts. Will have to look at the storage boxes, as bought a couple of the laser cut wooden ones, and have been making some more, but they look good too (-:
Jonathan Turns thanks, so I haven’t set up the adverts yet as I uploaded it last night and TH-cam dump them all over it and I cut them down by half normally
Another superb video. That tunnel portal looked quite a good size; how long did that take to print? Which slicing software have you been using? Hot glue is a god send for scenery, I’d been using PVA for some time with polystyrene and the daft thing is I already had a glue gun 🤦♂️ other weapon I discovered was awesome far too late was a hot knife for polystyrene carving as I’d always made a mess and ended up with big steps to fill. I bought a load of card board boxes for locos which are for individual locos, but of course anything loose rattles around so I’ve been using a mix of soft foam and hot knifed polystyrene from old packaging to secure them safely
Hi Tris, Not sure if you have mentioned this before but what software do you use with your 3d printer? Love the videos, they have inspired me to take up the hobby again, I havent touched a layout since i was 14 years old with my dad so thankyou for the inspiration and the memories. Can't believe how much things have changed, time to get my trains out of the loft and start planning a space to build in!
i have a question have you made eny of then Dinoric quarry slate wagons that are on thingivers there oo9 i think and if u use a resin 3d printer you can get good resalts. however i havent been able to do eny for myself atm as im still debateing weather to get a resin printer for my self. love you videos really intreseing Cheers, jordan
Fab video again, the class 33 certainly looks nice, as well as the NG, sometimes thing have to look bad before they look good. Will you be getting the soon to be available GWR 43XX from Dapol, looks really nice
William Nash hello, so I moved my videos to Wednesday as work has made it harder to produce a Sunday video now that we are out of lock down. Thank you for the encouragement
I don’t have a food mixer lol. I am happy using what I have purchased. There’s only so much spare time in my life to do these things. Thanks for commenting
My favourite 00 TH-cam channel ❤️
Thank you ;-)

Lively video trish! And I was very surprised to see you on the list of new junction’s patrons! What a small world
Indeed it is a small world, I support a few channels through my trishbits name as they are the people I’ve found got me into this hobby again.

I do like those Heljan 33's. I have a couple of old Heljan 57's which run really smoothly and weight a ton.
I was suprised when I opened the box, it makes me want to add some weight to my old Hornby class 25
Another great show Tris. The 009 layout is coming along nicely. The new Heljan loco looks nice, I wouldn’t mind getting one myself probably in BR green.

I would agree with Sean it really is a nice loco and you feel like you get a lot of quality for your money.

The hair is coming on lovely Tris. . . . ;)

Great episode covering a range of interesting stuff! Love the 33, you are possibly the first to pronounce 'Heljan' correctly haha...look forward to the next. Thanks
Thank you I learnt it from a friend who works at a company that deals with them for something else.
Episode 48, or "Tris goes Wild with a Glue Gun"! (to great effect, I might add!)
Thanks 😊 it was good fun!
Suggestion. Is an extension of the 009 track a possibility? In the corner of the layout by the next curve, would a tourist attraction with a passenger station be a great addition to the 009 railroad?
Thats a very good idea, Ill keep it in mind

Hello Will. It’s part of my loft railway but it goes on top of a mountain which you will see in previous and upcoming videos.

William Nash hello, so I moved my videos to Wednesday as work has made it harder to produce a Sunday video now that we are out of lock down. Thank you for the encouragement
You havent gone down to steal some slate / ballest / mud / twigs etc like luke town and other channels do LOL Then wreck a cheap food mixer. Use ebay!
I don’t have a food mixer lol. I am happy using what I have purchased. There’s only so much spare time in my life to do these things. Thanks for commenting
