I love my Blackstone griddle with rolled steel, I have probably talked a dozen friends and family members into getting a Blackstone griddle over the past 4 years. The improvements on these griddle just keep coming, great features on this Pit Boss. I'm intrigued with the Ceramic coating.
I appreciate your honesty here and your willingness to really test the length of the ceramic coating’s durability. I’ve always been a Blackstone guy and while I have some high quality ceramic pans I use indoors I almost feel like I have to baby them as much or more than my Blackstone’s steel top (by not using high heat, certain utensils, etc). Looking forward to watching your channel even more over the years and seeing how the coating holds up. Make A believer out of me! Thanks for your content! God bless.
Can't say, never used a ceramic coated griddle, but I love my Blue Rhino griddle with rolled steel top thing is seasoned so well it's like cooking on glass.
Awesome Griddle Andrew, I’m a rolled steel guy but I do love my Blackstone ESeries indoor griddle. Hopefully yours will last for years! How about some stir fry for the first cook , be different 😆. Cheers Sarge🍻
If the ceramic holds up, wouldn't it be neat to see Pit Boss release an aluminum ceramic coated top? I love my 22" but being in my mid 60's I am starting to dread lifting it to take along camping. Can't wait to see your cooks on the vertical pro 6 smoker. It's on my wish list as soon as Lowes puts it on sale or offers some type of longer financing interest free. 9 bills is a little high to clear thru my finance director (spouse).
i loved mine at first. then after 6 months . every thing began to stick so tight, needed a jack hammer get it off, and clean up was bad. . got a new iron top coming now.
Question…let’s say eventually the ceramic coating is less effective after years of use and the surface isn’t as non sticky as before … can’t using oil ( as in a traditional rolled steel griddle) solve the issue? Just curious . Thanks . Great and informative videos too.
Hi iam looking at buying this or the Blackstone but like the look of the pit boss better, just wanted to ask you as you have used it alot its holding up ok and worth getting
I want to like the Pit Boss but after watching some other YTers who have had it for over a year now I am holding out. I think that if you are a TH-camr who uses it often for videos and puts it through the useage tests and something goes wrong with the surface , Pit Boss will gladly replace your cook top surface. For the rest of us, probably not.
Im in a couple of PitBoss groups, and while i haven't seen anyone post about the griddle, they have posted about other smokers and customer support has been reliably good and eager to fix the problems
It was smart of Pit Boss to offer both ceramic and rolled steel. Something for everyone👍😊

Absolutely. I’m still enjoying mine! Cooked 50 burgers today on it (sons birthday party) and clean up was a breeze!

Thx for the video. I can't find the link to the grill that you are unboxing 😮

Can you lift the top like the 4 burner?
Great video. Are there any utensils you should avoid when using ceramic? That thing looks sweet!!!
Yes don't use steel ones. Only use rubber or silicone utensils. Don't let metal utensils touch it. You scratch up the surface and mess it up
Is this griddle portable like other pit boss griddles?
The 5 burner is not lift off. But that did not stop me from bringing it somewhere lol
