I was headed north on the 7th St Bridge in South Phoenix. It was one hell of a sight. Lit up the entire sky over the Phoenix area.

Can anyone explain the small light traveling behind it? Is that a reflection?

Could be as simple as a small piece breaking off.
They burn up at the same time, indicating they had similar compositions

It's a lens reflection. It paralleled exactly .state Fair 1991 whoever came up over the ferris wheel at about 2 pm saw a flamer coming right at them . I was standing with 7 badges on grand Ave. Looking up at the wheel we saw a fireball westbound .I could see it coming clear to the superstitions and in 3-4 seconds it was through phx and not a noise. Huge flame 30-40 feet wide. At about 1500 ft hi and really really moving. We all agreed we saw nothing. Yes let's not mention it unless asked or something . Agreed and that's that it never happened. I have heard the most bizarre cases.

I saw it. Happened fast and wasn't sure what it was at first. The video makes it look like there are 2. I was in Gilbert and it appeared to be north east of me. So not sure exactly where it was.

    I wish I could've seen that! But I don't think I could've seen that in Mesa.

I once saw a meteor hit the trampoline we have in our backyard, and bounce back up, flying off in a different direction.
My dad is a fire chief, and kind of anal about fire safety, so he treated the trampoline with a spray-on fire retardant. I guess that's why that white-hot meteor didn't burn through the fabric.
