I suspect she did what she taught to younger sister, right at the begining: had a few dates and then created situations where he felf compelled to compromise with her. It's a 42 year old woman on a "leftover woman" society, meaning the older, the useless, she got desperate to marry no matter how, no matter who.

Story 1: This “family” (especially the mom and sister) are insane with their bizarre mental gymnastics. Well sister is gonna learn the hard way about her new husband eventually. He’ll physically cheat because he got away with messaging other women. It’s just a slow burn karma

Second story: It's like normal for siblings to have small petty scabbles and feel uncomfortable seeing each other in a bathroom setting.
Her correction made it worse too. Like, of course a 12 year old doesn't wanna stop playing just to bring a 5 year old to the bathroom.
Also normal for a mom to be a lottle over protective, she openned her eyes
@@Bingotaco it's not unreasonable of her to ask him to go to the toilet with the 5 year old though. All the 12 year old has to do is walk him in and out, it's not like she asked him to wipe his ass or change his diaper. And with bigger families everyone has to pitch in with things where they can.
@@sweeety969 yes I come from a larger family so I know what comes with it. But her attitude about it and everything to do with the child is completely unreasonable. Plus, if he's responsible enough to take the 5 year old to the bathroom, isn't he responsible enough to stay out in the park and continue playing with the 10 year old while she takes the 5 year old to the bathroom? And is the 10 year old also not able to take the 5 year old to the bathroom at the park? Bottom line is, sure she can ask him, that was never the issue, it's her attitude around it when there's at least 2 other solutions. This is all assuming the dad's not there at the time because maybe it's working hours, if he was though, one of the parents should go and a child should not be asked.
1) Glad to hear the OP took her Earrings and split. Dad seems to be the only almost sane one but 2/3rds of solid Toxic exposure is no place to love.

Where do people get "using oldest child as free child sitter" from OP in S2 asking the 12 year old to go to the bathroom with the 5 year old at the park. I mean it's a public bathroom and the kid needs to pearn to use these on his own, but is too young to go alone, its a good step towards independence to ask the older child to go with him. It's not like she's asking him to change his diaper, just to walk him in and out so he's not alone in there, right? So i don't see the problem.
Second story is so weird- why was all this decision making going on without the kid's biomum involved? Also, at that age, he doesn't get to dictate what's best for him and where he lives. It's a decision for co-parents, not op and her new man.
It's up to them to decide if they want to take him. Whether the bio mom allows it is another conversation that happens after they decide they want to live with him.
I agree at that age it isn't up to him but he's old enough for his wishes to start factoring into his custody. It's roughly that age when children of divorce can begin to choose where they want to spend the majority of time.
And being the partner of one of the co-parents, especially if she's the main caregiver in her house, entitles her to a say seeing as she's the one that's going to have to deal with him more often than his other parents if he lived with her.

Consider how what she said might influence her actions... for instance, she claims she is affraid her step-son will bully her kids, drawing the conclusion that she would be defensive around him, leading him to feel like she thinks him a pred'tor.... right before demanding he takes her kid into the bathroom alone....
The whole issue there is the OP's overprotection. Yes, boys, compete, they test their limits to know each other's limits, and they will tease each other about dumb things. It is psychologically how brothers bond. That is far from bullying, especially when that bond lets the brothers know when outsiders go beyond each other's limits. However, you might not be aware if this if you're an only child as is in OP's case.

Yes, if she tries to discipline him, she would be in the wrong, as she is 'not his mom'. If he starts bullying her kids, she will be in the wrong, since there were red flags, and she 'preferred her husband and his kid over her kids'
