Hi, thank you for teaching how to cut and sew. Much appreciated. Please let me know whether sewing allowance is included for the sleeve or I need to add. Thank you. Cheers

Wow, great, thanks so much! I have a unique request. Can you please do a tutorial on a flared skirt, which has an attached lining, but the lining is sewn to the skirt with stitching in the middle of the lining so that it looks like a wide "pant" with fitting on the bottom. It's sort of like wearing "leggings" under the skirt so that if the skirt flows due to wind, the lining of wide pant stays intact and does not flow with skirt, hence, your bare legs are not exposed. :) This would be great for warm weather or cool. I feel this type of lining under skirts is much more practical, so also when sitting anywhere. If this is not clear, let me know. :) The skirt can be half circle, tiered or similar.

Hi , the class is excellent ,I have a doubt why do we need to divide armhole by radius and will it be same for all sizes I mean the division formula ???

this is great. How do I measure the circle points to cut when trying to fit it into a sleeveless dress I bought. vs measuring my arm. Do I just measure the dress armhole. I have less than two weeks to alter my dress for a wedding. thanks for your help

Hello, When adapting a sleeveless dress to add sleeves, it's essential to ensure a proper fit for a neat result. In general, the armhole of a sleeveless dress is usually around 0.5 inches (approx.) smaller than that of a dress with sleeves. So you need to check for that first otherwise you won't feel comfortable after adding the sleeves. And if it's okay then I recommend using the dress armhole measurement as a guide when cutting the sleeves. This will help the sleeves fit seamlessly into the armhole and maintain a polished look. Before cutting the final fabric, it's a great idea to try the sleeves on a piece of rough fabric first. This will allow you to fine-tune the fit and make any necessary adjustments before committing to the actual dress. Best of luck with your alteration, and enjoy the wedding!

Wat if we need to give Seam allowance? Shall we increase the radius of the armhole round?
