Excellent video, I think that you may be the better driver, as the 235i took the wrong line a few times, however in fairness this was usually when you were putting him under pressure and very close to him. Do you think that you could have passed him? It seemed very even match regarding performance wise . Good see someone with a manual E92 M3
It seems like the M235i driver is being really cautious or he has less experience of that track then you. He doesn't use the full width of the track. It looks like you could lead him to a faster-safer lap. Enjoyed your video, thanks for uploading.
Great video. I have E92 M3 and love it but will be getting something new within a next year, possibly new M3. But considering M235 performance the M2 should be pretty great. I will wait until M2 comes out to make my decision. Good driving btw!
I own an E92 M Comp and eyeing on M235i really hard right now. It’s easy to tune plus could a better daily than M car. This vid really makes me want to pull a trigger.

sweet video man...im getting 435i m sport, and thinking chipping the car, bring hp and torque to 430 and 420..that'll be good competition with 2015 m4..
I had a 335i before, now my wife got a M235i, when I had my 335i I had the same thought as you but a MPPK 435i with Prem & Tech pack are almost 60K in US, with tax n everything will close to 66K. If you want to get the handling close to M4 you at least need a KW V3, sway bar, diff, and that's almost 6K with labor. The mods that you needs to get to 400+ hp are intercooler, downpipe, intake, oil cooler, custom flash with JB4, last but not least, the M4 are equipped with PSS tires, all these are 5K with labor. After all these you will get a car that has similar number to a real M4, with void warranty and cant pass smog. How much is the M4 again?

Hi Robert, I definitely prefer M3. I haven't driven the M235i, but I drove 1M both on road and track: it's funny to drive on the road and turbo boost seems that makes you fly, but on track I don't like turbocharged engine. Too much lag, less control of the car. Also when it's hot (24 degrees up) turbo engine loses performance. So my suggest is to get M3 or to keep your 135i ;)
the 235 is tuned to 408ps with much more torgue than the m3. It is impressive that the m3 could keep up and be a bit quicker. its down to the the fact that it has supirior handling, lsd and much more responsive engine control being n/a
+Nikolas Kechakis The M235i is available with LSD and adaptive M suspension. Not sure what more you need than 330 hp stock, and 6 spd manual gearbox and LSD and adaptive m suspension :) Sold my GTI MK7 for one :)
the m3 driver has much better knowledge of the nordschleife, this is why it can keep up through the corners. this m235i also has kw clubsport 3 way, in the right hands, the m3 would most likely not have seen where the m235i went.
Every one can DRIVE at the Nurburgring ,because is a open ROAD to every kind of vehicles (pay the tool and get in ) ,but of course is a RACE TRACK ...there is no race being held ...only people that THINK they are pilots ...and is very hard for general motorbikers to go fast there. But for 4 wheelers is not better ;)

I test drove the M235i and the car handles very well! Test drove it with myself so I got to go all out on a windy back road. I really like it. I may consider getting one. I've also test drove the M5 and M6 as well as the older E92 M3s.
