Thank you! My brother passed away a couple of years and he has this camera. I want to keep it as a reminder of him and learn to use it myself. This video is my first venture into learning about his camera! I've subscribed to your channel to help me on this adventure :0)
You're so welcome. I have many other videos about the D5200. Here's a playlist you might enjoy. Nikon D5200 Photography Tutorials: th-cam.com/play/PLXdGrnNgdPV5EuIebf0cV8XZc_7mGmuNz.html
Thanks! I recently purchased a D5200 with less than 800 shutter actuations - basically like new. Even though this model is a decade or so old, it fits my needs very well. I’ve been shooting SLRs since 1975 and the D5200 just feels familiar 😅.
That is too hard a question to answer here in the comments section. Different lenses are good for different types of photography. What sort of photography do you do? Portraits? Landscapes?... I am working on a video about how to choose the right lenses for the D5200. It's a huge subject, and I'm trying to incorporate as much information as possible. Look for it on the channel in the next few months. 🙂
@@Steve_K2 because it adds atmosphere to the video. Give me one example of a TV show or movie that DOESN'T have music. Life is boring and flat without music. Thanks for watching. 🙂
For starters, the D5100 is only 16MP, whereas the D5200 is 24MP. The D5200 also shoots 5 frames per second compared to the 4 frames per second of the 5100. There are other differences. As far as I know, Nikon is still manufacturing some DSLR models. I believe they will phase them out, though.
how do I lock the focus point to the center of frame - locked there forever - so it never bugs me & moves away from the center on it's on. D5200 ? if you know lmk thanks
I appreciate how you break down each button's purpose and provide practical tips for using them effectively👍💯
Thanks, Jasmine. I appreciate your comment. Thanks for watching. 🙂

Thank you for watching and subscribing. I am sorry for your loss.
Thank you! I have the exact camera, didn't know what those buttons do, I used Auto always, thank you for explaining everything in detail ❤😍

Wow! That was a good find. I missed out on purchasing one recently that had just over 1000 shutter count. I think mine might give up any day now. 😂
@@photographersfreedom Where do you find the shutter count on a D5100?
@barackblows1942 take a photo. Don't edit it. Then upload the file to this website www.camerashuttercount.com/
Very cool
Thanks for tutorial ❤
@@OmahSouvenirUngAran you're welcome. 🙂
I don’t know if
What is the best lens for this camera to photograph beginners?

Your visuals are the best but why oh why must you include distracting background "music?"

I have an old D5100 that was purchased new 10-years ago. What’s the difference between the D5100 and D5200. Does Nikon even sell DSLRs anymore?

I'm actually not sure how to do that or even if it can be done. Sorry.
@@photographersfreedom why does it move around on its own what triggers it to wander off center
@@cwmoss69 it shouldn't be doing that unless you are touching the multi-selector while shooting.
@@photographersfreedom ok thanks maybe that's it..
