Revis was the sole reason I played cornerback in high school. Senior year was special too because I was finally able to get #24 and ended up leading the team in INTs with 9.

About to be 25 years old and been watching football since I was 9-10ish. Grew up a fan of both the Jets and Giants because my dad was a Jets fan and all my cousins were Giants fans, this guy and Eli Manning were my childhood favorite players (also big brother Peyton). So glad he is a first ballot Hall of Famer, GOAT man to man corner. From Moss & TO to Megatron and Larry Fitz, none of them were safe from a vacation on Revis Island.
He's the main reason why I truly fell in love with the Jets. My father has always rooted for the Jets since the Curtis Martin days, and I always considered myself as a Jets fan since then. But seeing how different Revis played against the best receivers in the league was an eye opening experience for me. Greatest Jet of all-time imo.

I had a privilege to what Revis play three years at Pitt before he embarked on his hall of fame NFL career. I could tell watching this guy at Pitt, he was going to be a star. What stands out is during Revis's last year at Pitt they opened up the season against Virginia and Cincinnati and Revis had pick sixes in both of those games. After that, team's stopped throwing his way the rest of the year. Otherwise, he would've had more interceptions. That just goes to show the respect this guy got before he got to the NFL.

People don't understand, back in 09, '10 he WAS the Jets defense, especially in Rex's system. He would follow the other teams number 1 and virtual eliminate them from the game and rex would roll the rest of the coverage to other receivers while sending the house on a blitz. It was crude but effective ONLY with a player like Revis. Once he was gone, Rex's defense also went with him. It was truly a treat watching Revis eliminate so many big names from being effective week after week: Moss, Steve Smith, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Terrell Owens...the lists goes on. Stats don't tell the whole story. Teams just stopped throwing to his side which cuts the field and a QB's options for the rest of the game.

I played football and coach it currently at a big high school, and corner is the hardest position on the field. And was a good WR and ran reverses. Deion was so good when he played the Raiders in 96 it was their strategy to run Deion deep and tire him out. And they had some of the fastest WR ever in the league with James Jett (former track olympian), Rocket Ismail, and of course Tim Brown all at WR.

Night Train Lane had 14 interceptions in a season, Lester Hayes and a few other players had 13 all in a non passing heavy era. In 1994 Deion Sanders had 6 interceptions for 303 yards averaged over 50 yards a pick and had 3 touchdowns, won defensive player of the year and the Super Bowl in 14 games. Pass deflection stats weren't tracked in those years.

Qb's threw less at Deion than they did Revis I've seen both their entire careers. Deion could intercept the ball and score from anywhere on the field. As well as being a top kick and punt return man. And was a good WR and ran reverses. Deion was so good when he played the Raiders in 96 it was their strategy to run Deion deep and tire him out. And they had some of the fastest WR ever in the league with James Jett (former track olympian), Rocket Ismail, and of course Tim Brown all at WR.

Revis 2009 has to be the best year of a corner back EVER.... He didn't have to intercept the ball, he just broke every pass up that went his way. After that year, QBs never threw his way
U gotta be kidding me u clearly don't know your history. Revis had a great year but not the best. Night Train Lane had 14 interceptions in a season, Lester Hayes and a few other players had 13 all in a non passing heavy era. In 1994 Deion Sanders had 6 interceptions for 303 yards averaged over 50 yards a pick and had 3 touchdowns, won defensive player of the year and the Super Bowl in 14 games. Pass deflection stats weren't tracked in those years.
