When is anyone going to investigate Nigeria islamic state and the Iman??? It should read Nigeria islamic mosques, the Imans and the emirs. If you cannot investigate those people then there's no point in investigating any church. The southerners must stop this nonsense. Start from the northern area first before working your way down the South. FYI, I don't believe in any of those religions. Just saying!!!
Same happened in Ghana somewhere last year. Ghana Police tracked and arrested over 400 of them. Many of the scammer were Nigerians. Your Government could do same if they really want to curb it down.
Mehnnnnnnnnnnn! Loan addiction is so real. The cycle of borrowing this to pay that nearly ruined me. I woke up to the reality of owing multiple. Thank God. I stood my ground and stopped. Great video brother Jude. One important thing you forgot to mention is app permissions. This is how most of these apps get your personal data. Why would a bank app request you to allow all permissions? Think about it. If you love this video you can also check out a similar video about lending apps operating in India done by BBC.
Loan shark companies, Betting platform, investment platforms, drugs and alcohol are all in the same category. If someone says 15% in 30 days that means you will be paying 180% of that money in a year. Stop patronizing these criminals.
Thank you for the coverage of this topic in the Nigerian context. BBC Asia also delved into this issue, particularly focusing on India, highlighting the dangers associated with these loan apps.

I have a friend that this happened to , its a vicious cycle, this loan company started sending harassing text and then sent his picture and texts to all his contacts , monies were being taken out of his bank account that wasn't associated with the original loan ,it's terrible that these practices continue
Why will anyone take a loan from an online loan finance company which has no structure/office on the ground. All finance company are supposed to be registered by the central bank and doing so, MUST have a structure/office on tbe ground. 😑
How can a market woman in the village verify the legitimacy of a company licensed by the CBN? I believe the CBN, government, and media have a responsibility to improve information sharing in Nigeria, including guidance on verifying company licenses. Additionally, the police should ensure protection from scams. Many of these companies have bank accounts and government oversight, yet lack accountability, leading to issues like these in Nigeria.
They are scammers. Tree loan tried to give me a loan that I never wanted but they said that I collected that I did then started threatening me but I didn't agree.

I have been a victim of some of those loan scammers for years. Thank God I'm almost done with them. My only concern is that how do I delete my biometrics from their database?
This actually happened to me... Imagine a loan company opening an account for me with opay using my details while I had no access to the account yet it's opened in my name 🤷🏾♂️
Yes there is a lot the govt can do if they serious and alive to their responsibility and it is very simple, takes only only hours to establish a dedicated cbn website meant for verifying licensed agents and their registration numbers so that in the event they go rouge and start harassing you, you can go back to the govt website and file a complaint. Cbn must have active investigators whose sole job is to investigate, make arrest and charge same to courts. You may be surprised to know that is postal service have investigators retired from law enforcement who investigates mail fraud. Officials of the Nigerian govt knows all these good things to do but like govt at all levels, if you establish these bureaucracies and have to pay the personnel's, there will be little money to steal, and their you have it.
