- In today's video we introduce to you @Claytonfmarsh's newest project. Clay is revisiting his "Honda guy" phase with this 2001 Acura Integra Road Race Build. The plan is to build a car that can be tracked and pushed to a max effort around turns while on a reasonable budget. In this build we will start by focusing on handling instead of power, and then bring the power in later with an updated engine swap. @iamkev413 and Clay got to work on this first episode with installing a host of @KTunedYT suspension components, @hybridracing shifter @KWsuspensions, and @RAYSMSC. Honda phase is the funnest phase! So many platforms you can tinker with, so many motor selections you can play with, and so much aftermarket you can slap on !!!! Nothing and I mean nothing like playing with hondas wether it’s all motor or boost! They’re animals once you start making some serious power! With all the cars now in days making power out the box hondas are very over looked! But even till this day they still don’t need 1000whp to keep up with modern cars lol. That’s the beauty of Honda
im definitely lovin it so far. When i was younger i built an 89 dodge colt with an awd 4g63 swap and it seemed like everything had to be custom and there was very little "off the shelf" aftermarket support. This experience has been way better so far except for the fact that the combination of covid and inflation have tag teamed most of the manufacturers into backorders that are really delaying the builds.

I threw the whole Hard Race catalogue at my Civic and it’s all spherical. Let’s just say it’s trailered to High Plains Raceway now.

@@realstreetperformance I hear via the Boosted Boiz that Florida streets are smoother than Denver. A lot less fractured/broken pavement from a lot less ice in cracks.

Suspension and brakes are the first things I would do to any car. Next, rims and tires. Then comes the power. New sub looking forward to this series.

New sub. Looking forward to more content. I'm the original owner of a 94 GSR. My car is coming up on 90,000 kilometers so I have to start thinking about replacing parts as needed.

I just bought an Integra, rust free with mint interior... here's the kicker, it had a sleeved 84mm LSVtec, a decent turbo, and supporting mods. Sadly I take it apart to find damaged rocker arms, cams, sleeves and much more. The suspension is a mix and match of this stock stuff in the same condition and old aftermarket parts, like Tein coils, a rear swaybar. I will be following this to see how it turns out as I am slowly replacing the suspension on my new little racecar Acura.

I have been filming some here and there, I am definitely not a photographer or vlogger, so I am kinda clueless. I may decide to make a channel and learn some editing skills and see what happens.
I ended up buying a block off my tuner, it's an 85mm Benson sleeved GSR with eagle rods and weisco pistons. He's currently fixing the head and sending it to the machine shop, then we are gonna through it on the new block and see if I can get it back together!

would love a review video. I bought the progress racing cS2 combo kit and am in the same boat with old worn bushings on a 95 del sol si. i know K-Tuned rubber is far cheaper, but if these are as good as their described i want to just go for the expensive part first and not have to replace the rubber down the road. great video still.

Is oil pressure not a concern with the factory oil pan? I understand the car isn’t making earth shatter hp and it’s not generating a lot of G’s, still without having a basic oil pan upgrade with baffles is not safe.

I’m interested to know how the KW V3s feel. I have a JRSC K20 GSR and I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on KW V3s or Fortune auto 500s.
I’ve never tried the fortune or jrsc coildovers. But after driving the kw v3’s I felt like “man I can’t imagine asking for much more from an aftermarket suspension running this low. This is actually comfortable” and it performs well around turns. The car is doing exactly what I want it to do when I come into a corner

I love this. I wanted those bronze OG TE37's for my weekend warrior white Integra just like this and couldn't find them anywhere so went with bronze Rpf1's. What offset? Looks perfect.
I think these are 15x8 +38 or +35. Somewhere around there

Hey Jay! Quick question. . I got a d16 im building to boost. Im only going 8-10psi since its my daily. And no I'm not getting a ebay turbo kit lol. Im looking for a small turbo like t25 or k04. I see you guys sell upgraded valve springs for the head. You think I need it for 8psi when I shift around 4,500 . Or should I just put back stock springs for my set up? Thanks in advance.
If it’s stock cams and you are not reving higher than the factory rev limit then stock should be fine Pablo

haha I think its a combination of things. For the first several years we did not monetize our videos, so TH-cam had no financial reason to drive traffic to our videos. Also, we usually only post content when we think it's a quality video. It seems like most of the people that have a million followers have to commit to posting a video every day whether its good or not. We have tried not to fall into the trap of forcing ourselves to post even when we don't have anything good to post just to keep up with the algorithm. Unfortunately that means we never really make it into the algorithm current that builds a following fast. You can help by sharing our content though! I don’t have any experience with how those ride but I wanted something that I knew for sure was going to perform on the track without ruining the daily comfort. And the kw v3’s do a great job at that

I really want some detail on the KW coilovers cause I’m really looking forward for them V2 or V3 for EM1 Kswap civic cause my old coilovers are pretty beat up and they beat me up now and I’m kind sick of them
Tomy I’ve been driving the car quite a bit since we filmed this and I have nothing but good things to say. There is construction happening to the road I take to work and even driving through that beat up road the kw’s dont make me feel like I’m breaking the car by driving over it. The daily drive is smooth but the car handles great around turns and really feels like it’s going where I want it to when I turn the wheel
@@realstreetperformance really nice for you to answer this was my first idea of next coilovers and you just confirm it for me this is gonna be it can’t wait to see cause in Quebec we have pretty beat up roads to I was needing something adapt for our roads and tracks too(some are rough at some place) so I don’t want the car to feel unsettle juste because of a bump while turning hard

You had the whole suspension out but didn’t change brakes or rotors?!?
Wilwood front and rear brake kit are on order, but delayed a couple months at the manufacturer and we didnt want to wait till then to start filming, there will be several episodes coming in this series, brakes, seats and harness, steering wheel, engine swap, etc. Brakes will be in a future episode when they come off back order. Stay tuned

So what happened to the series?…..
We have had all kinds of obstacles lately but nothing we couldn’t overcome. Parts back orders, key people out sick, other projects taking priority, etc. We are currently editing the videos for the jdm front end as well as the seats, steering wheel, and harnesses. But the engine swap has been getting delayed by other projects. Check out the awd rsx on That Racing Channel. And we are about to drop some introduction and progress videos of my s2000 turbo project. Hopefully we can get back to this car soon and start the engine swap. - Clay
