It is a lifelong journey of healing and forgiveness. It's a mental roller-coaster daily.
I also was raped by my biological Dad, and told no one for 25 years. I was in misery and pain. Started drinking, drugs, smoking marijuana, and cigarettes for 33 yrs. Always believed it was my fault, but when I came to God at 48 yrs. old, God told me it was my Dad's fault...
God delivered me from Drugs, Alcohol, Cigarettes, 28 years ago, The rest of the things He delivered me the next year, and have forgiven my Dad; which was the hardest thing I ever have done...
The only good thing that came out of all this is: God uses me for a Testimony, of how Good God is for delivering me from evil, and am in my right mind still.
It's been a long process, but God is bringing me thru it all. He's the best Counselor in the world.

The sad part is, this story isn’t that uncommon. A lot of black families have so much hidden trauma that no one talks about. I’m super proud of these ladies for sharing their story and I pray their other sisters would come forward with their truth as well. 🙏🏾

I want to big up these women for being brave and telling there horrific story!! 😢 I myself was molested by my biological father (who I call Lucifer because he is NOT a father) and I want to say that I learned something from this story that I will change when telling anyone my story!! When this queen stated that her father took her virginity and Tasha stated that wasn’t consensual so it wasn’t the proper term it really touched me mentally & emotionally 😢I cried and now know that I will never say that again!! I was 9 & it didn’t stop until I was 14 I went thru years of molestation fear unhappiness low self esteem and much more!! I won’t get into too much more because I let go & let God but my point is I will no longer say he took virginity!! He robbed my innocence & my childhood!! He abused me in so many different forms (emotionally,mentally,sexually, physically) My gosh sooooooo much mental pain & anguish comes with being a survivor of SA. Reminds me of Breasia Terrell's story.
In the summer of 2019 I found out my stepsister was being sexually abused. What really alerted me, in addition to my previous noticing her character changes, was her room was filth to the point she had no place to sleep. It was overrunning in filth although the home was a half a million dollar home. I did my analysis and research, had the perpetrator arrested (my dad), and had CPS move her with a new family who I made sure was loving and caring. Her mother (my dad's new wife) had adopted her at birth and emotionally abused her, especially after my dad went to prison. I would not allow anyone to leave her to be abused, not by my dad and not by her witch of a mother!

This issue needs to be addressed more frequently. Many victims of incest by fathers, brothers, grandfathers , uncles and cousins suffer in silence or are not believed when they tell adults. In my opinion this is the root of the anger and disfunction in the Black community.

I had seen the step mom and the dad a few years earlier at our high school homecoming and
hugged them both...if only I'd known then what I know now.😢
My mother never used a doctor’s visit to check the status of me and my sister virginity. She was open and honest with us. We could discuss anything with her. We were never made to feel uncomfortable or ashamed about our bodies or anything like that. My mom and grandma were open with us about how our bodies worked and that no one had any business touching us or violating us.
Some people didn’t have such a privilege so count yourself blessed.

I planned to wait until my wedding night. I was 19. Suddenly one day while walking home through the woods he pushed me down and jumped on top of me. I was upset but since he said we're getting married, I didn't call the police. AND THE FOOL NEVER MARRIED ME. JUST DISAPPEARED.

😢 lord brought back memories.. my great aunt adopted me due to my mother's drug use, and my cousin her son was rapping me every night . And then his brother took me to school one day and he did it as well. I blamed myself for years, I felt as if it was my fault I was thick growing up and my Aunt always called me fast etc. Lord took me almost 30 years to tell my story.

I’m from Louisiana and while growing up, a lot of conversations were never to be talked about. People are more concerned of being shamed or shaming the family than speaking their truth. It’s so many stories like these ladies, but many continue on with life or even take it to their grave. Thanks Brittany & Jasmine for sharing your story, hopefully it will bring strength for someone else to speak out.

I Thank both sisters for speaking out about the incest that occurred during their early years. So many suffer in silence. I too witnessed my sister being molested by my father. I was traumatized for years. Everyone in my family kept quiet. As it never happened. Just plain wrong. The predators need to pay.

The step mother was a nurse and didn’t remember what she saw when asked by social services? Justice still needs to be served.
Giving a voice to the ones who are still too afraid or ashamed to speak up. At least through this publication they know they are not alone and have a sense of comfort knowing someone will listen.

After watching this entire interview. Being a blk man 34 born in Philly. Im aware this happens all over the world. These ppl are from the deep south and I strongly believe this is heavily about the slave culture. How they would make us do these similar things to one another. Im so happy these women are speaking out. We are raised to not tell what happens in our homes and family's but we must speak up LOUDLY.. Im in tears right now. I never experienced any of these things growing up but the story is just so deep.

This also happened to a relative of mine who is also now in her 60s - her sisters Husband when she was only 14 or 15 and had a daughter by him. It is some really SICK men in this world and need to be jailed!

Perpetrators started "snitches get stitches". It keeps victims silent and allows the perpetrator to continue to abuse and traumatize them. Victims suffer in silence, while the perpetrators roam free smiling. Each thinks they're the only one and is shamed and afraid, so they say nothing. Each of us needs to remember that we ALL suffer when ONE of us suffers. Hurt people, hurt things. Broken people, break things. Healed people can help others find the road to healing. We ARE a VILLAGE!!
The first experience when she spoke about the “checkup” my stomach turned and I literally felt myself trying to tell myself not to vomit! I was so sickened and couldn’t even imagine what she would say next! God love her! And the strength and courage she had to speak out about this!

It's not always the father raping the daughter, for me it was my mother molesting me and allowing her boyfriends to as well. My mother never went to jail for her crimes against me, because I suffered from Stockholm syndrome. My mother suffered a horrible death two years ago. I have been set free mentally....

I stumbled upon your channel about a week ago with the lady who contracted HIV from her husband and this is my second video and it touched my heart so being 57 years old now I was first molested by my god father at age 7 and never said anything it went on for a couple of years then stopped and the next time I may have been around 12 or 13 and that was my uncle my mom’s brother and again I never said anything and that was only once but I remember coming home from high school one day I was in the 10th grade and my dad had not left for work which was strange so I thought we had had death in the family but they told me that my godfather was in prison for molesting his girlfriend’s daughter and they wanted to know if anything had happened to me by him and of course I lied and said no I applaud these ladies for telling their story I ended up telling my mom the truth before she passed away about my godfather but not her brother and my dad died without knowing things like this are never our fault and we should not be ashamed to tell our truth god bless❤

This resonate with me although it wasn’t my father . I experienced being abused in my adopted mega church family . The women are just as bad because they will do anything to cover up for their man . I have been ostracized and called so many things because I chose to stand up . To every women or man that has been abused stand tall and tell your story it’s very freeing , free yourself . When I get my coins right I’m working on my book I need to expose a mega church family and stop hiding my truth to make others comfortable. I thank God for keeping me sane because I had to go up against machines to speak my truth and trust me they think they’ve silenced me but God will I definitely will tell my truth 🙏🧎🏽♀️
