As a former addict I remember a situation where I went to go buy pills.. the house I went to had kids in it and the person i went to buy pills from sold more than just pills, as I’m waiting I’m talking to this little girl who had to be at least 7 was telling me her mom left her there and would be right back… as the person comes back into the room where I’m at with the pills I ask him..” why was the baby girl there?” He said that the mother “traded, her for some black” (if you know than you know) but he said “I don’t get down like that so I reach out to her people and they’re on there way to pick up the baby girl” make a long story short, I sat there with the baby girl to make sure she got to her family member safely and check into rehab that next day. That baby girl doesn’t even know that she was one of the biggest reasons I went into sobriety.. I pray wherever she is that she’s safe… blessed and living a beautiful life.. Thank you for saving my life sweetheart!

Drugs have devastated our communities and the children had to suffer for the addiction of parents!! I seen it all in the Bronx in the 90s so many deaths and devastation this story makes me so sad so glad she survived.
Born and raised in the Bx. Brook ave on the 6 line so I understand. So many hit on the tracks while being high. I wasn’t allowed outside too much because of it
People will never understand the trauma that we experienced as mere observers. It's why people have never been able to get me to try their hard drugs no matter how pressured. It seemed like a straight line from trying it once to being on the corner spaced out.
At a time where I revisit your page as a reminder to be grateful. She is me and I am here. I know that I no longer want to be a product of circumstances. Through my disabilities, my domestic violence background. Getting an education that’s served me unemployment. Traumatic childhood. Her story is still more powerful more than most people go through firsthand. I still get it, I just need a chance to heal and change the cards I was dealt. I’m not done till I’m breathless. 🖤
Most people who’ve seen what she’s seen and been through usually are drowned by their trauma and sorrow She is beautiful and Extremely strong to be standing on her own 2 feet and to be telling us this story just shows a glimpse of her strength she is the rose that grew from concrete ❤❤❤❤ Love and Blessings to her
i worked with children for 17 years b4 i got on disability this video has me crying ., while i’m watching it smh i’m freaking Speechless i feel so sorry children have such a special place in my heart ❤️ for this young woman her childhood innocence was taken away smh i’m so happy for her getting her life to what she DESERVES NOW! GOD BLESS HER!🙏🏽❤️
She ended up in my hometown Syracuse, New York… It’s a small world… I’m proud of her for overcoming every obstacle that was thrown in her path to destroy her!!! 💜🙏🏾💜🙏🏾
Have so much respect for this woman! She overcame her adversities. This is inspiring for anyone going through or who has been through a troubled past!!
I just found this channel & this is the first video I’ve seen. As a school social worker of 26 years who’s also worked residential for teen girls & a runaway shelter, and a former foster mom myself, I’m so so sorry you were failed in so many ways. You are a remarkable warrior! Sending all my warmest thoughts and love.
What’s so crazy about these stories is being apart a resident of NY and living just 45 minutes from Syracuse - and knowing how the hood could be like from the city to upstate. I really feel for this woman. She’s a queen, a fighter. God - I want to hug her.
This is why I made sure to teach my children to have empathy for kids in their class that may smell or be dirty. I used to substitute teach in an inner city school and the amount of abuse and neglect I saw BROKE me. I dropped a dime on so many families as a mandated reporter. I grew up with NONE of this. This woman is an incredible warrior. However, WHY should children have to be warriors or be “strong”?
As a woman that went through almost exactly what you went through I can feel and understand your pain! And although my mom overcame her addiction for her grandkids (but not for her three daughters) and is a great grandmother and great grandmother but refuses to acknowledge me being molested by her husband. I have forgiven her for the trauma that her and her husband has caused me and my two sisters for the sake of me. My oldest sister is trauma bonded to my mom and they can’t be apart, my twin sister passed away from breast cancer and I am a 48 year old mother of four that has ptsd and bipolar for over twenty years now😊
Honey, I am so sorry those bastards hurt you. I wish I could have been there to rescue you. You survived - that in itself is a fu to your captors. You are saving lives. Prayers and healing.
I had 2 children while addicted to crack in the 80's, by my incarcerated husband, who was also a crackhead. A young, black, woman at Stanford slapped me (when no one was there) during labor while i was screaming in pain. Ill never forget her, she took my baby (trying to impress her white peers) she took my child to foster care, for 3 days. That was in Nov 1987. She turned 36 today. Ive been clean/sober since Dec 4th 1990
You made it baby girl. YOU made it. And we are all proud of you! Looking back now when I was young, I realize that some of those “mean girls”, were going through more then I could imagine .
I had to take a break. The first half of her story really got to me. I'm so glad I came back & finished watching!!! I'm glad she fought for her life, because of her son. My tooth just crumble. I wish I was in her area. I'll sure make an appointment!!! God made her enemies her footstool!!!! That's what's up!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️💯💯💯
I hate yet love her story! Hate that she had 2 go through so much & our system failed her yet love how she came out on top! Praying that you do the internal work to feel good within. You are AMAZING & WORTHY sis 💖
I wish people would stop using the word strong… especially pertaining to Black Women… she is courageous, she is brave, she is an overcomer she Is not strong. Who the hell wants to be strong unless you’re in arm wrestling competition.
Idk how I ended up on this channel. But thank God I did. Jesus you are Soo good!! I'm Soo happy she made it out to tell her story. Keep your head up Beautiful!! 💗
The fact that she sits there & tells her story, then they show her pictures. The look In her eyes. Like omg I just wanna hug her man.. I’m sooo happy for her overcoming all this bullshit. . . Im happy for how hard you fought to get where you are now. Im praying for you. 🙏🏼 🙏🏼
She's so beautiful and strong all praises to the most high for getting her/ us through the things we've been through and continue to struggle with to this day! Her story is so many of our stories as well, us black girls coming up in Chicago especially in the Crack Era... that shit took us through the worst! The traumatic things she speaks of is my story! Just listening to her tell her story i can see through the face she puts on cause the internal damage is still there despite the brave face we wear just to get through! I'm proud of her! ❤ sending virtual hugs and love sister! Keep your head up!
I just love her so much! I’m sorry baby that the world failed you. She’s a strong woman with a story to tell. Her story will save many lives! May GOD forever bless you and your son.
Her story was so moving that I had to go follow her on IG. I’ve even popped in on a few of her lives and she is a plethora of knowledge and it’s truly amazing to see all she’s been through and what she’s accomplished up to now . Truly inspiring ❤
He's a descent interviewer. I like how he uses chronology to keep the story straight and easy to follow plus peppers the guest with thought provoking questions.
5:37 you can hear her heart start to race. I’m so sorry this happened and so so sorry this is triggering the PTSD. You are incredible and a survivor and you show that anyone can overcome anything.
I applaud you young lady for not only being strong but for taking your abuse and trauma and turning it into the strength that you needed to succeed in life and treat your son better then we were treated. My abuse and trauma is in my past and I used my trauma to motivate me too. I’m 48 now with for children ages 32,31,12 and 10. My oldest two are grown and have their own households and are productive, hard working adults in society. My last two are of course with me and I give them all of the love , compassion and security that I gave their older siblings when they were young and all that I never had
It's still good that she went through the worst at an early age because it still allowed her to transition into an amazing young lady and human being. The saying is true "from the worst comes the best".
Proud of you baby girl, the journey that you had to go through was tough.. You will continue to heal until the end life is twisted with many different directions ‼️

But I have a friend from New York and her story is almost similar to this woman..Now she works with me in the opthamology office..graduated from college and got her baccalaureate starting her group home very soon etc… Just never know the story behind people’s smile.
🤦🏾♀️😔🥺 this hit different and I jus wanna tell sis " you are loved" and give her the biggest tightest hug 🫂 you never know what ppl have been thru or are going thru....and this is why WE as woman of color gotta come together put aside the little shit and start supporting each other, it's time to unify, unite, show love to each other....we're so much stronger together.
You've got this queen 😘
🫶🫶 go and get your blessings 👑... you most definitely can do it!!!
How many of yall remember that one class mate like this? Now looking back it all makes sense and now you're sad?
Most people who’ve seen what she’s seen and been through usually are drowned by their trauma and sorrow She is beautiful and Extremely strong to be standing on her own 2 feet and to be telling us this story just shows a glimpse of her strength she is the rose that grew from concrete ❤❤❤❤ Love and Blessings to her
Such a beautiful woman. Her childhood made me so sad. Wishing her continued healing and blessings.
Thank you 🤍
Amen
Life time of blessings
She's not the only black child went through in the era of crack cocaine.
i worked with children for 17 years b4 i got on disability this video has me crying ., while i’m watching it smh i’m freaking Speechless i feel so sorry children have such a special place in my heart ❤️ for this young woman her childhood innocence was taken away smh i’m so happy for her getting her life to what she DESERVES NOW! GOD BLESS HER!🙏🏽❤️
Thank you queen 🤍
💔
She ended up in my hometown Syracuse, New York… It’s a small world… I’m proud of her for overcoming every obstacle that was thrown in her path to destroy her!!! 💜🙏🏾💜🙏🏾
Her story is a true testament that your past does not dictate your future. What a blessing to others 🙏🏾 God turned it around for your favor 🙏🏾 🙌
My oldest sister is trauma bonded to my mom and they can’t be apart, my twin sister passed away from breast cancer and I am a 48 year old mother of four that has ptsd and bipolar for over twenty years now😊
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
praying for you queen. Youre doing a great job.
Her resilience and strength is commendable......applause to you love and light. May god continue to bless you🙏🏽🙌🏽
She’s such a beautiful articulate young woman . 🙏🏾🙏🏾 for her healing emotionally, mentally. Just beautiful with a traumatic past.
❤
It was the best thing she could of done for you you say you been clean since 1987
Congratulations! Thank you for being strong enough & vulnerable enough to share this with us! I am proud of you!
Congratulations!!! I know your baby is proud!
Happy 33 years clean 🎉
Congratulations on getting clean I too was born November 1987 May God be will you 🙏🏾
Just when I thought I had it hard, I stumbled upon this video. Young lady I wish you peace, love, and joy.
Listennnnn
You made it baby girl. YOU made it. And we are all proud of you!
Looking back now when I was young, I realize that some of those “mean girls”, were going through more then I could imagine .
I had to take a break. The first half of her story really got to me. I'm so glad I came back & finished watching!!!
I'm glad she fought for her life, because of her son.
My tooth just crumble. I wish I was in her area. I'll sure make an appointment!!!
God made her enemies her footstool!!!! That's what's up!!!
🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️💯💯💯
God is good.
🙏
I hate yet love her story! Hate that she had 2 go through so much & our system failed her yet love how she came out on top! Praying that you do the internal work to feel good within. You are AMAZING & WORTHY sis 💖

This had me in tears!! Never judge a book by its covers !! Whhheeeww this was inspirational
🫶🏾
I wish people would stop using the word strong… especially pertaining to Black Women… she is courageous, she is brave, she is an overcomer she
Is not strong. Who the hell wants to be strong unless you’re in arm wrestling competition.
I’m so happy you made it out of that hell hole! You are such an inspiration and so beautiful and really strong. God bless you! ❤
Idk how I ended up on this channel. But thank God I did. Jesus you are Soo good!! I'm Soo happy she made it out to tell her story. Keep your head up Beautiful!! 💗
Thank u
The fact that she sits there & tells her story, then they show her pictures. The look In her eyes. Like omg I just wanna hug her man.. I’m sooo happy for her overcoming all this bullshit. . . Im happy for how hard you fought to get where you are now. Im praying for you. 🙏🏼 🙏🏼

@@TrappinAnonymous Yes Indeed 👏🏾
Man, I can’t even imagine growing up with memories like this. I would be in therapy forever
congratulations 🎉 🍾 .
You overcame the adversity, the pain, the struggle, against the worst place on the starting line.
What an incredible mom, I can’t imagine the strength it took to create this new beautiful life for her son
She literally came from the mud!!!!!! Wooooooooow 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ she's amazing
😔😔😔😔 I could never allow my daughter to go through this.
😢
Her story is a tremendous inspiration. God turned her trials into triumphs. Blessings 🙌🏼🙏🏼
My Heavenly Father is an Amazing God 👏🏼
The will of a champion, and grace from beyond this world. It is so important to teach children love, respect and charity for themselves and others.
No weapon formed against us shall prosper keep doing your thang queen 💯🙏🏽🙏🏽
Keep up the good interview @Christylezz💯✅
Salute from California
Peace n love
I am sooooo proud of this young lady!! She is a true survival of the struggle....
This was absolutely a beautiful interview. Really gives me hope. Thank you for sharing your story!
Felly!!!!
I don’t know her but I love her’ bless her heart It’s so hard to go through so much trauma and not harden your heart. I’m rooting for her ❤️
I feel the same exact way. I do not know her but I surely love her! Such an remarkable, beautiful, soulful young lady ❤️
I love that you told her you are proud of her. We all are 💛
Thank you ❤
Yes!!! 🙌🏼 Super Proud of Herrrr ❤🙏🏼
When you hear somebody's else's stories, I can't complain, but I'll still never forget or go back.
It's crazy how everyone says the exact same thing about the foster care system, why isn't this being addressed 😢
Oh it continues to be addressed but CPS foster care workers covers the ugly nasty truth up
I want to hug her so bad bought me to tears. This beautiful black woman been thru so much.
Trappin Anonymous you’re doing a great job! You’re giving everyone their flowers by letting them tell their story..they are being heard letting them know that they are bigger than their past. Keep shining❤❤❤Never be ashamed of your story bc you did what you had to to survive. No everything is not condone but you made it..And I’m sure there are some young ladies who may be in the same situation right now and they need to know they can be great too.… This woman story is breath taking….it’s hard to even fathom. But I have a friend from New York and her story is almost similar to this woman..Now she works with me in the opthamology office..graduated from college and got her baccalaureate starting her group home very soon etc… Just never know the story behind people’s smile.
God bless!!!!!
@TrappinAnonymous how do I come on and share my story 🙏🏼
This was an amazing story. What a beautiful soul you’ve become 😊. Great interview. Best of luck to you both. Take care.
I’m sorry your parents failed you 😢 this was not ok! This breaks my heart!
Yes
🤦🏾♀️😔🥺 this hit different and I jus wanna tell sis " you are loved" and give her the biggest tightest hug 🫂 you never know what ppl have been thru or are going thru....and this is why WE as woman of color gotta come together put aside the little shit and start supporting each other, it's time to unify, unite, show love to each other....we're so much stronger together. I never met this woman but feel so much love towards her because I hear her pain...it resonates
She is beautiful but hardfreakingcore. She's so stoic up to a certain point, so matter of fact. Jesus. Only the strong survive and she is definitely living proof. Bless up, Queen.
❤❤❤
Thank you ❤
💯
Blessing to this women she has inspired me to stay strong and keep it pushing. Her inner strength is unmatched!!!!
Your interviews are real 💯 definitely subscribing to this channel...
I just found your channel. I really appreciate hearing the stories of these survivors. You really have a great way of interviewing. Your questions are direct but done with great respect to the survivors. Bless all these people that are able to tell their stories.
This isn’t the first time I hear about babysitters hurting a
Child … thank you for sharing your story. You are beautiful, strong and inspiring.
