As a former addict I remember a situation where I went to go buy pills.. the house I went to had kids in it and the person i went to buy pills from sold more than just pills, as I’m waiting I’m talking to this little girl who had to be at least 7 was telling me her mom left her there and would be right back… as the person comes back into the room where I’m at with the pills I ask him..” why was the baby girl there?” He said that the mother “traded, her for some black” (if you know than you know) but he said “I don’t get down like that so I reach out to her people and they’re on there way to pick up the baby girl” make a long story short, I sat there with the baby girl to make sure she got to her family member safely and check into rehab that next day. That baby girl doesn’t even know that she was one of the biggest reasons I went into sobriety.. I pray wherever she is that she’s safe… blessed and living a beautiful life.. Thank you for saving my life sweetheart!

Oh my goodness this touched my soul. I’m so proud of you for seeing the bigger picture and healing yourself ✨🫶 you are so strong im still an addict myself but i want to stop it’s just hard at this point in life for me I don’t know if rehab will help because I went to one and it caused me more trauma (I got raped by a woman ) n got out went back to the pills to numb it and now my family is trying to get me to go to another rehab but I’m scared…

They will never experience any pain hunger or molestation and I’m speaking this over all of our children in the name of Jesus .

I have to be thankful for having a decent childhood, for never seeing the sexual deviance of some grown person, for having a mom that did not indulge in alcohol or drugs, and for telling me how beautiful my dark skin is.For being able to see my dad regularly throughout my life even though he did not live in the same household. People will never understand the trauma that we experienced as mere observers. It's why people have never been able to get me to try their hard drugs no matter how pressured. It seemed like a straight line from trying it once to being on the corner spaced out.

At a time where I revisit your page as a reminder to be grateful.
She is me and I am here.
I know that I no longer want to be a product of circumstances.
Through my disabilities, my domestic violence background.
Getting an education that’s served me unemployment.
    Traumatic childhood.
Her story is still more powerful more than most people go through firsthand. I still get it, I just need a chance to heal and change the cards I was dealt.

What’s so crazy about these stories is being apart a resident of NY and living just 45 minutes from Syracuse - and knowing how the hood could be like from the city to upstate. I really feel for this woman. She’s a queen, a fighter. God - I want to hug her.

This is why I made sure to teach my children to have empathy for kids in their class that may smell or be dirty. I used to substitute teach in an inner city school and the amount of abuse and neglect I saw BROKE me. I dropped a dime on so many families as a mandated reporter.
I grew up with NONE of this. This woman is an incredible warrior. However, WHY should children have to be warriors or be “strong”?

And although my mom overcame her addiction for her grandkids (but not for her three daughters) and is a great grandmother and great grandmother but refuses to acknowledge me being molested by her husband. I have forgiven her for the trauma that her and her husband has caused me and my two sisters for the sake of me. My oldest sister is trauma bonded to my mom and they can’t be apart, my twin sister passed away from breast cancer and I am a 48 year old mother of four that has ptsd and bipolar for over twenty years now😊

I had 2 children while addicted to crack in the 80's, by my incarcerated husband, who was also a crackhead. A young, black, woman at Stanford slapped me (when no one was there) during labor while i was screaming in pain. Ill never forget her, she took my baby (trying to impress her white peers) she took my child to foster care, for 3 days. That was in Nov 1987. She turned 36 today. Ive been clean/sober since Dec 4th 1990

I applaud you young lady for not only being strong but for taking your abuse and trauma and turning it into the strength that you needed to succeed in life and treat your son better then we were treated. My abuse and trauma is in my past and I used my trauma to motivate me too. I’m 48 now with for children ages 32,31,12 and 10. My oldest two are grown and have their own households and are productive, hard working adults in society. My last two are of course with me and I give them all of the love , compassion and security that I gave their older siblings when they were young and all that I never had

Trappin Anonymous you’re doing a great job! You’re giving everyone their flowers by letting them tell their story..they are being heard letting them know that they are bigger than their past. Keep shining❤❤❤Never be ashamed of your story bc you did what you had to to survive. No everything is not condone but you made it..And I’m sure there are some young ladies who may be in the same situation right now and they need to know they can be great too.… This woman story is breath taking….it’s hard to even fathom. But I have a friend from New York and her story is almost similar to this woman..Now she works with me in the opthamology office..graduated from college and got her baccalaureate starting her group home very soon etc… Just never know the story behind people’s smile.
