Hey Car Gurus, I'm very impressed with the improvements you have made in terms of the video display quality, the color scheme is much better than before. Thank you for all you guys do. You're awesome. Stay encouraged.

This car exceeds but in my area there are so few inventory and so used cars are selling faster and people are scoping up every good deal

We just got a CX-9 used outright because we didn't want another car payment for something brand new. It's so nice on the interior & we got a great deal from a luxury car dealership. Ours was a 1-owner trade in with low miles that they wanted to move quickly to make room for high-end luxury cars on their showroom floor. It's worth looking for one. We called ahead, had pulled the CarFax ourselves, & were prepared to buy.

Should I get this or the Highlander ?

I actually looove how the Mazda looks. I just hear from people it's not as reliable or doesn't hold a good resale value as the Highlander !

Per www.cargurus.com, a used 2015 CX9 GT is ~$30k, while a used 2015 Highlander XLE/Limited is ~$35k. Of course, the 2015 CX9 MSRP started at $30k, then up to $40k, while the Highlander started at $30k with the 4 cyl, $32k with the V6, then up to $45k. It's all relative. As for reliability, Consumer Reports 2017 reliability survey ranks Toyota #2, Mazda #6 & Honda #10. Toyota is a bit more reliable, but Mazda has been more reliable than Honda for years. I've owned 2 Hondas and 3 Mazdas. & I think most consumers are still caught up on past brand perception, even though they've never owned an underdog like Mazda. You should research & test drive. Good luck.

I bought a brand new Honda civic in 2005 and still has it and it's a very reliable car. so i've been away from the car buying hassle for 12 years now and as you said exactly, I still have the perception that Mazdas are not good thinking it's still 2005 !!!

I think it competes admirably with the Toyota, Chevy and Honda versions. The more pressing question is does it match up to the Audi and Infiniti equivalents!

Audi and Infiniti are luxury brands they are not direct competitors.
