Awesome! The Performer 5 is a great set! I'm definitely curious to hear your thoughts on the Davinci if you pull the trigger. Thanks for checking out the review!
I received the DaVinci this last Saturday morning. I have been busy with work (even on the last weekend) and I have had little time to thoroughly evaluate the DaVinci. Nevertheless, and after some quick eartip rolling, the DaVinci sailed through my initial top 10 test tracks well enough for me to initially decide that the DaVinci is worth its purchase price and has better transparency for details in comparison to the Performer 5, and perhaps a bit more details. I quickly discovered that the Tri Clarion eartips did muddy up the sub bass. I am presently using Azla SednaEarfitLight Short eartips with the DaVinci. I have other eartips which I want to try with the DaVinci. Regardless, the DaVinci appears to be a keeper for its price.
@apollomoonlandings @apollomoonlandings That's awesome! I'm glad you're happy with it! I've been listening to the DaVinci quite a bit lately, especially on my walks. Such a great set for the price. Thanks for the update!
@@Audio-In-Reviews You are most welcome. I'm sure you're trying your best to be objective, but can't give this much cred. The Davinci's are stunning in the looks department.
Don't really see the difference between this and other youtubers from audiophile community reviewing this or other such collab products. I mean most of them know each other and hand out together at CanJam etc, so you can argue that they are all affiliated with each other ;) Also, being not truthful and praising a product that is below par in a review is probably the stupidest way to ruin one's channel's reputation and credibility, so I really don't see the incentive here. That being said, I myself am somewhat biased and want this to be good due to having a pair of DaVincis en route from Hifigo at this time ;)

@@viktornaroznoi1370 I agree with all our points and I'm also hoping for a good review because I want to order the Davinci. I just thought Dave being first out of the gates with a review didn't look great. I guess we'll have enough data over the next week to get a consensus opinion.
I'd like to know your thoughts about what you think about the Dunu vs the Pilgrim because you compared the pilgrim against those same two iems in your review of it, and you said the pilgrim was second place to the performer 8. I just received my Pilgrim and while nice in technicalities and detail, I'm finding it very balanced. And not a standout in anyway.
Thanks for watching! So right now, ranking under $500 would be: 1 - Studio 4 - Excellent neutral tuning (closest to my preference), best technical under $500 - all around best under $500 2 - Pilgrim - U-shape signature, a little bright in treble, slightly more relaxed upper mids but stays generally natural, Favorite bass under $500 (yes, I prefer its bass over Studio 4 and Davinci). Technicalities fall slightly below Studio 4 but still better than Performer 8, and Davinci 3 - Davinci - Excellent neutral tuning, very natural throughout, bass and mid bass energy slightly above my tuning preference but works great with electronic and classic rock, Davinci’s bass is more satisfying than the Studio 4. But I still prefer Pilgrim bass overall, (over the Studio 4 and Davinci) Technicalities of Davinci basically on par with Performer 8 but fall below Pilgrim and Studio 4. Tied for third? Performer 8 - falls somewhere in the neutral category, very relaxed upper mids, relaxed bass (falls below my preference). Technicalities were best under $400 but not to levels of Studio 4. Now Pilgrim has equal if not slightly better technicalities over Performer 8 (maybe slightly more resolving). Davinci also has basically equal technical performance as Performer 8. Davinci upper mids also is closer to my tuning preference than Performer 8. But performer 8 has more controlled bass and maybe slightly more resolving treble over Davinci. I hope that helps to clarify things, thanks again for watching!
@@Audio-In-Reviews this helps a lot and thanks for the in depth comparison. I actually switched the tips on my pilgrims because of the short barrel. I went with the elotech baroque which is the perfect tip for short barrel iems because it sits outside the ear canal. Before I had the pilgrims shoved in at a weird angle. But I am experiencing the bass and a little more brightness than I was originally. I am enjoying it a lot now more. Once again thanks 🙏
@@Audio-In-Reviews May I ask another question that related with above comment? I'd like to hear more of your thoughts than just price and driver differences on Davinci and Tanchjim Orijin.
This was already a must buy for me and all you did was confirm that! Great review! I will look forward to experiencing the DaVinci in the near future! ☮️
Not for me. Once the mid bass is flat at high volumes, the sound looses the weight note and starts to sound thin for my taste. Bass bleed only happens at low snd medium volumes. High volumes the mid bass and sub stays the same. Only the upper mids and treble shoots up.
If you take a look at the frequency response, I think you would be pleasantly surprised because the there is an elevation from 1kHz downwards, it's not flat until 200Hz but rather there is a shelf at 850Hz to 200Hz, then it starts rising into the Sub-Bass. It looks pretty good
@@phetmoz but the main part of mid bass is to have some elevation at 200 and then dip slow to 500hz. That means note weight at higher volumes . And bleed at lower volumes .
Was there always background music during the reviews? and if yes was it always that loud? today is the first time i find this really distractive and can not focus on what you say. But apart from that great review as always! :)
Sorry! It's always been there. I do probably have it louder than most other reviewers because it's timed with my b-roll, and I want to make sure it's heard. Sorry if it's distracting, and thanks for being patient and watching anyway.
No worries and no need to apologize :) I was watching the review with an IEM (Grand Maestro) for the first time maybe that's why I was distracted more than usual:-D thanks for your work and dedication! :)
and Moondrop with the new Dusk and higher price was not even able to provide a decent accessories set.... Dunu definitely wins! Thanks a lot for the video, looking forward to getting my set :)
@@Greg.Siucrazyforaudio2016 in principle yes, but whenever I get a Dunu IEM the accessories are wonderful while Moondrop doesn't care that much even if the cost is higher, so I think a good set with great (maybe modular) cable and good tips is a great added value and I praise Dunu for this, not Moondrop at all... since 300 USD is not a small expense I would exect everything to be on a good level
Thanks for watching! I've got the dunu SA6 ultra, and i'd like anather iem with more bass, for watching movies, with good resolution, large and deep scene . Do you think it would be a good choice, or i should take anather one iem like the fatfreq maestro mini ?
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I don't have the Blessing 3 anymore. But If I remember correctly, it was a little thin its presentation and lacked note weight but had really good technicalities for its price point at the time. Then when the Performer 8 came on the scene, it became my new standard at that price point so the Blessing three was no longer needed for comparisons. I subsequently sold it to put money towards an upgrade. Basically, in the end, I felt the Performer 8 was tuned slightly better and had better technical performance than the B3. And the Davinci has basically equal technical performance to the Performer 8 which means, even though I can't really do a side by side, the Davinci probably has better technical performance than the B3 and based on what I remember of the tuning of the B3, I think I prefer the tuning of the Davinci a little more too. I hope that helps. Again, thank you so much for watching!
@@nok460 Of course Variations. Technicality and resolution are guaranteed to be much better. Unless you don't match the tonality or you're just a fan and want to support Timmy. Of course the DaVinci is great and sells at the right price.

The Davinci is a more versatile/safe set because of it tuning and will probably work well across the board with different genres. But the SA6 MK2 wins overall especially in the technical department. It's simply more resolving and has better micro details. The SA6 MK2 is also tuned differently and is less neutral, bordering more on a V-shape tuning so it's going to be a little more engaging. And even though the Davinci's upper mid tuning is technically a little more in line with my preference I still find myself connecting with the SA6 MK2's more immersive and still very natural (especially for a near V-shape tuning) presentation. And with SA6 MK2 switch on, even though its BA bass somehow, they've managed to magically infuse some DD bass attributes into it. All that said in terms of sheer naturalness and vocal/instrument reproduction the Davinci is exceptional for its price and because of the mid bass and bass tuning (and because of the well implemented DD) it still does an excellent job of connecting and immersing me into the music. The bottom line is, though, the Davinci has set a new standard for its price point. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Help, is the Dragonfly cobalt obsolete as a portable DAC or do you think it is still just as valuable and good. It is now about $200 on sale. I have a Fiio btr5, and I have looked at some other small portable DACs, none of them are nearly as strong as the cobalt .Thank you and happy work
Was I the only one who thought that this was a purely complementary review? (well, I understand why, but…) Why does the author of the video keep comparing Davinci to either dynamic iem’s or BA’ish iem’s? Where is the comparison with hybrids (except AFUL)? If my memory serves me correctly, the author of the channel really liked Blessing 3, why not compare with them, because they are worse than B3?) It seems that Davinci will be passable... But you still have to listen on your own, reviewers - this is more about advertising.
I definitely understand your position and I appreciate the honesty! Thanks for taking the time to weigh-in. I love seeing engagement in the community as long as its constructive. That being said. I don't own the Blessing 3, which is why I don't include it in my comparisons anymore. I try to stick with iems I have on hand. If I remember correctly, it was a little thin its presentation and lacked note weight but had good technicalities for its price point at the time. And the Davinci has basically equal technical performance to the Performer 8. So, it would only stand to reason that IMO the Davinci also has better technical performance than the Blessing 3. Again, I appreciate the honesty and engagement. I hope this helps clear things up a little.
I see a lot of comments regarding conflicts of interest and biases...and I agree. Not only does your affliated collab gets positive biased reviews, but credibility is lost if you can't say what could be improved with it. Or if you stop reviewing other iems in the same price range. Are you willing to say, "this other $400 (or less) iem is better"? For example, is the Simgot Supermix 4 a better buy at $150? If collaborators can't be consistent, transparent and honest, it kinda stinks. HBB, at least reviews just about everything and is consistent regardless if it's going to take away sales from his own collabs. In other words, talking about your own collabs or affiliated colab...and avoiding reviews that complete with your collab stinks. (I'm not saying that you do this Dave; it's only a general statement)
You just rushed through the technical performance...no mention of how wide or depth the soundstage l, what about imaging and instrument separation....? May be is it weak ...? Why have you brushed it under the rug so fast?
You are a part of Gizaudio channel and even occasionally upload your reviews on his channel. Now, with all this relationship and conflict of interest in mind, assessing this iem and calling it the best sub $500, raise big questions over your credibility.
You've already listened to them? Perhaps you had 10 hours to compare them with other models under 500$ and now you can provide arguments against that person's point of view (which are based on individual sound taste and may vary even at that level)?? If No, why the fk you wrote this crap?
Why are you reviewing the DaVinci?? It's like a person from Apple reviewing an Apple product! I'm not saying the DaVinci ain't good. I myself am waiting for this one. But don't review Timmy's collabs! It looks really bad.
Thanks for the honesty! Either way. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to check out the video. And I always appreciate engagement in the community as long as its constructive.
I agree with the comments saying you shouldn't have "reviewed" this and especially not with absolutely no disclaimer that you are part of Gizaudio. I suspect from everything else I've seen so far that the DaVinci is a genuinely good IEM and I have both Galileo and Chopin but this "review" puts me off it, it's a net negative.
Actually, it's just so everyone can see how stinkin' cute my dog is! Studies show that people are drawn to videos with animals in them! 2 - Pilgrim - U-shape signature, a little bright in treble, slightly more relaxed upper mids but stays generally natural, Favorite bass under $500 (yes, I prefer its bass over Studio 4 and Davinci). Technicalities fall slightly below Studio 4 but still better than Performer 8, and Davinci
3 - Davinci - Excellent neutral tuning, very natural throughout, bass and mid bass energy slightly above my tuning preference but works great with electronic and classic rock, Davinci’s bass is more satisfying than the Studio 4.
David, thank you for another wonderful earphones comparison review! 👌
I like the DITA Project M most. ✅
Thank you for watching!
Great review! Thanks!

How does this do compared to the hype 4?
I’m excited to learn about this IEM…a lot of buzz
Hope it sounds good
Thanks for watching!
This was already a must buy for me and all you did was confirm that! Great review! I will look forward to experiencing the DaVinci in the near future! ☮️
Same, can't wait to get my hands on it.
Curious to hear your thoughts! Thanks for watching!
Ah, yea! The Davinci reviews starting up! I'm looking for confirmation bias as mine gets here. hehe
Comparing with dita audio project M, timsok s316 n pilgrim?
I bought mine today! Loved hearing your perspective. As always beautiful B roll
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I would like a universal iem for games and for music, what would you recommend from this:
Hype4, Origin, SM4, Davinci?
How does it compare to Dusk, Hype4 and Pilgrim?
l don't think this set is as good as those ones as you mention , for the price point , it's more affordable .
Can’t wait for mine to arrive!
I hope you enjoy them! Thanks for watching!
I prefer the tiger eye look
Just waiting for mine to arrive.
do you think the shell is larger or smaller than the SA6 mkii?
Is it black or brown?
Great vidéo thanks for the review ❤
Thank you for watching!
How you would put the Fh9 against the Dunu DaVinci ? I want to choose one of this 2 IEMs but I can't decide
Yes im waiting for mine, this looks good
Was there always background music during the reviews? and if yes was it always that loud? today is the first time i find this really distractive and can not focus on what you say.
How do u think these compare to the falcon ultra?
People are giving him shit for being close with gizaudio but everyone says the same thing so leave him be !
and Moondrop with the new Dusk and higher price was not even able to provide a decent accessories set.... Dunu definitely wins! Thanks a lot for the video, looking forward to getting my set :)
l would care about the set's sound quality not quantity , l always use better cable and tips . stock ones are so ordinary .
I will buy this at one point. My next iem is a SymphonyEars Tetrad MK1. There is one dude who makes these to order.
How do they compare to the Pilgrim tho?
Thanks for watching!
Pilgrim - U-shape signature, a little bright in treble, slightly more relaxed upper mids but stays generally natural, Favorite bass under $500 (yes, I prefer its bass over Studio 4 and Davinci). Technicalities fall slightly below Studio 4 but still better than Performer 8, and Davinci. Pilgrim retains second place under $500 (just under Studio 4)
Davinci - Excellent neutral tuning, very natural throughout, bass and mid bass energy slightly above my tuning preference but works great with electronic and classic rock, Davinci’s bass is more satisfying than the Studio 4 but I still prefer Pilgrim bass overall, (over the Studio 4 and Davinci) Technicalities of Davinci basically on par with Performer 8 but fall below Pilgrim and Studio 4.
Hopefully, that helps a little! Thanks again for watching!
@@Audio-In-Reviews Do you prefer the bass of the pilgrim more because it is not as strong as the davinci?
I've got the dunu SA6 ultra, and i'd like anather iem with more bass, for watching movies, with good resolution, large and deep scene . Do you think it would be a good choice, or i should take anather one iem like the fatfreq maestro mini ?
Yanyin Canon 2
How would you compare these to the Blessing 3?
@@Audio-In-Reviews Appreciate the response!
Is it better than the Chopin?
It better has to, Chopin is not as natural on the treble due to some BA timbre but the bass does kicks hard
Ha Zeos just gave the DA Vinci a 10/10! 🎉
Great review
What cable are you using for the studio 4?
hey man, how do you think these compare to the variations ?
Different tonalities, different technicalities and different price levels. Day and night..
@@thomasdanny7717 wich one would you pick and why if i may ask ?? 😉
@@nok460 Of course Variations. Technicality and resolution are guaranteed to be much better. Unless you don't match the tonality or you're just a fan and want to support Timmy. Of course the DaVinci is great and sells at the right price.
@@thomasdanny7717 thanks man ! I just got the variations as a gift, i'm not into iems yet so I want to know how good or bad they are haha..
Thank you for the review. I would have liked a true comparison to Dusk 2 & Pilgrim which are some of the hottest IEMs out right now under $500. We'll have to wait for Jays Audio review I suppose.
Is it better than HYPE 4
For me no, today I try juazer butterfly 61T and maybe maybe davinci sound 5% better, but jueazar cost 200 bucks
Dave always wears grey
I don’t think that Timmy’s sound profile matches up with mine so I’m hesitant about these.
The Chopin approaches more Timmy sound profile tbh, this time he's trying something different so wait for more reviews maybe.
Is it better than the latest dusk?
I only listened to the new Dusk for a short time. Unfortunately, I don't own it so I couldn't do a side by side with Davinci. I do remember liking the Dusk 2 a lot though.

@@Audio-In-Reviews noted thanks
Hi, can you compare the davinci and sa6 mk2? I have the sa6 mk2 and consider to buy davinci, please give me some opinions, thx a lot.
If you have the funds, just buy it. The SA6 MK2 and DaVinci are on a different level.
@@thomasdanny7717can explain more details?
Thanks for watching!
thank you for your detail explanation 👍
Great package
Agree 100%. Thanks for watching!
Too many to choose from in this price range. Project M,Dusk,Pilgrim and DaVinci.

Hi pls review aune ar5000
And the Davinci has basically equal technical performance to the Performer 8. So, it would only stand to reason that IMO the Davinci also has better technical performance than the Blessing 3. Again, I appreciate the honesty and engagement. I hope this helps clear things up a little.
Da VINKY?! :0
Honest review thanks 👍
Need graph
Aww the audiophile is crying lol you people are really weird
Review of the year?
You are a part of Gizaudio channel and even occasionally upload your reviews on his channel. Now, with all this relationship and conflict of interest in mind, assessing this iem and calling it the best sub $500, raise big questions over your credibility.
You've already listened to them? Perhaps you had 10 hours to compare them with other models under 500$ and now you can provide arguments against that person's point of view (which are based on individual sound taste and may vary even at that level)??
If No, why the fk you wrote this crap?
Sit down, bucko.
@@vladlabyrinth6335this point is moot.
Did you just ignore his genuine enthusiasm and attention to detail throughout the entire review? Dave must have gone to a good acting school.
It seems that you didn't listen to what he said in the review, but he gave his opinion accurately, explaining what he likes and what he does not like.
Naa ...old skol Moonlight frm Yanyi way better in fact its kicked ur beloved sa6 gd too...ha3. Peace!
Nice! Thanks for watching!
Just wait for other reviewers.
for me it's really valuable , l can see it's no better than the Hype 4 or Pilgrim , just around or below the sa6 ultra and studio 4 level.
I definitely understand your position and I appreciate the honesty! Thanks for taking the time to watch anyway!
we don't need the 1 min intro of you walking and sitting on couch
Actually, it's just so everyone can see how stinkin' cute my dog is! Studies show that people are drawn to videos with animals in them! In all seriousness, I have considered that, but most people don't seem to mind it, so I probably won't change anything for now. Thanks for the honesty, though, and thanks for watching!
Nice 1!
