Nice review. From 0:00 to 12:00, yYou nicely explained why all of these other IEMs are on the table and why you will mostly focus on the bottom row of these other more expensive IEMs. I have finally become accustomed to your somewhat unusual style for your reviews which generally feature detailed comparisons with other IEMs. Is it possible to start off each review with a 5 second still image in which all of the IEMs on the table are labeled? This would be helpful so that I can jump to portions of your review where you make comparisons with the IEMs which I am familiar with, especially if you point to each specific IEM for 5 full seconds. In this way, I can seek and find each section in your videos where you point to and discuss your comparison of the review IEM to the other specific IEM. The slick thing about this approach is that you don't have to add chapters to your videos. 22:38 Very interesting to hear that the Canon II seriously trades blows with the DaVinci. I almost purchased the Canon II on a couple of occasions. 24:50 Very interesting to hear your thoughts about the DaVinci versus the Penon 10th Anniversary. It is nice to hear that the 10th Anniversary also trades blows in the midrange with the DaVinci. 27:04 Very interesting to hear your thoughts about the DaVinci versus the new EM10 and how well this new IEM trades blows with the DaVinci even though the overall tuning is different. The above three IEM comparisons are my main overall takeaways from your review. Yet there is something to be said for IEMs such as the Pilgrim which has darker upper midrange and treble since some people are sensitive in these areas. Your review of the DaVinci definitely is one of your more interesting reviews which I have watched. Thank you for your time and effort which went into this review.
@@KiwiNickGI don't think Supermix 4 is great at all. If you want value, just buy the Falcon Ultra. It's arguably better tuned than the Da Vinci with better extension and also a tad cheaper. Great review as always, Tony! Looks like a promising IEM and a good move on Timmy's part to go for a tuning with broader appeal. Regarding comparing Davinci with Dusk DSP, listen to Resolve's review where he not only compares that but also does some EQ on Davinci. But I can in no way imagine that using DSP when an IEM with subpar running could ever be as good as using a much better dedicated DAC/Amp and a little EQ if necessary. That's a hill to die on!

Interesting, but I still cannot see spending that amount of money on an IEM. Could I afford it...easily. Would I spend for it, no. I'd rather take the same amount of money (~US$310) and buy: - an Hidizs MP145 for ~$120 (or ARTTI T10~$50) - a MuseHiFi M4 or BTR15 ($105) or $100 dongle DAC - a very nice modular cable ($60~$90) - and an assortment of tips ($15) (PS: already did) There are simply too many terrific IEM choices (today) at or below $150 to consider all of these IEM's coming in at $250 or greater. Throw 0.05 oz. of gold or 0.10 oz of platinum in the IEM build and I might consider it. Else, it's just marketing hype, imo. If you want to be noticed for what you wear...save your money and buy an investment-grade watch. I'm 57 and can hear up to 16.5 K Hz, on my best day. I suppose that may be the reason I cannot see the price/performance. Fair enough.
You can't listen to 3 different IEMs at the same time though, can you? You generally get more developed sound quality and engaging sound complexity as you move further up the price chain. A really, really strong example of this is the Unique Melody Mest series which can be had for around $7-800 used. Once you hear them, you'll want to sell all your budget sets sets that just collect dust. It really says itself apart from what's cheaper.

Just tested and measured this. Struggled to accurately reproduce the timbre and thunderous tactility of Morphology, Versalife, Dillinja, Dom & Roland, Jah Shaka, Vibronics, Alpha & Omega, Kool Keirh, Schooly D, etc. Vocals from 60/70s US Soul/Blues singers lacked their unique baritone. Not a bad IEM but a plethora of better and more competitive alternatives exist.
Interesting...please do.share.the names of the better choices
I'm curious. Thank you
Even I wanna know. I am thinking of purchasing one iem but prefer less base and more treble.
Currently everyone is hyping these, if you have any alternatives please share
Is it the dusk in your mind that's better or the Hype 4?
Yes please share what you think is competitive against this set, been eyeing since it release
Well then say some if you know them.
