If anyone going to try the funtack mod, I recommend covering the hole with micropore tape first. I do similar "mod" on other IEMs and I personally just cover vent hole with 3-4 layers of micropore instead because it's easier to take out snd no risk of clogging the hole.
I really enjoyed watching your video. Thank you for your Funtack mod idea. I chose to use small pieces of blue masking tape to cover the vent ports in order to achieve the same bass reduction even though the reduction is slightly too much by around 1 dB. Just a tad too much fun for the bass is removed, yet the overall listening experience still is very enjoyable. I had already settled on using Tang Sancai Balanced eartips which are very good at venting inner ear pressure for non-vented IEMs, so covering the DaVinci's vent ports did not cause any inner ear pressure issues for me.
0:00 General Resolve, you are a bold one. Back to IEMs, that's highly subjective, i do like the DaVinci, i love having a tad more bass, and warmth presentation.
I feel like that's just too subjective. If not moreso than the sound perception. For example, Listener said that Mega5EST is one of, if not THE best fitting and comfortable IEM he had tried.

I listen to metal a lot and too much deviation from the diffused field makes either the bass kicks or the cymbals sound weird, especially when someone like Aaron Kitcher is going absolutely ham with blasts and cymbal hits.
