Its almost 2024 and i am still Here watching bubba ho-tep every now and then, and every time i do, i find myself in a mood of "inner peace". How can a movie about a mummy that sucks souls Out of butts be such a masterpiece. Its that movie that i tell every one i ever met to watch it. And the Soundtrack is peak
There's just something about this tune. Every once in a while a piece of music comes along and draws you in and you find yourself playing it over and over. This is one of those for me. This and "All Is Well" from the same sound track.
This theme music is about endings and dying - strumming the guitar for the last time, inside an echoing, golden well of memories. I've never, ever, ever heard a theme song that was filled with so much nostalgia, angst, and strands of memory - beauty
That's just very fine Rock'n'Roll! Hard not to feel emotional about the demise of RnR after hearing this gem...hence, the perfect tune for such a classic film of the exact same nature.
I loved when he was trying to walk downhill with his walker and i almost vomited from laughing. I do like the segway in the movie when this comes on.Bruce was fantastic and the script was great.Sebastian Haff, what a great name for an Elvis impersonator.Bruces greatest performance
Not a Horror fan but an interesting Horror/Sci-Fi film with some good points (nursing homes, the way vets are treated, aging, etc) partially filmed in East TX. Love the music, attended the film premiere in Austin including Q & A with the author Joe Lansdale, very interesting guy. Love this song in particular--Bryan Tyler created a song with a good blend of Rock & Gospel. ❤
It was a great film thanks Don Coscarelli, The end credits of the movie showed a sequel, so im not sure, It showed elvis fighting vampires, i would hope elvis would like this score.
amazing movie, amazing soundtrack!! should have one oscars!! on another note, i'm begging anyone to point me in the direction to get the guitar tablature for this song pretty please!!
No matter what you think of Elvis, he was the man! I wasn't that crazy about him at the time. But I wasn't that crazy about Dale Earnhardt either until they were gone. They were the Mohamad Ali's of their time
Chords are Em C G D. The lead guitar is just pentatonics based around that. Try starting on the G, then using the A and B (so G string open, and the 2nd and 4th frets), that'll get you in the ballpark. It then goes up an octave (G string, frets 12, 14, 16). That'll get you in the ballpark for the main riff, the rest of the solo is a bit complex to explain here but you should be able to figure it out using your ear and a little trial and error. :)

One of his best for sure!

Word.
Bubba Ho Tep was a master class in acting. Both Bruce Campbell and Ozzie Davis outdid themselves. And the soundtrack is PERFECT.
Most honestly, one of the greatest soundtracks ever recorded for a (wonderful) movie.
This song ,this movie ,this life , were so strange yet so so wonderful i could never express my full gratitude towards any of it
one best Elvis storys ever this music still hunts me so cool 2024
Loved this movie. The music score was top notch. Amazing that one person composed and performed the entire score themselves.
Honestly this is my life. Play this on a 24 7 loop

i think if they make a sequel theyll ruin it
You may be right, But I think I'd love it if the exact same creative team gave us their promised sequel 'Bubba Nosferatu'.
I would swallow this kind of sequels til my liver was good for pate de foie!
