Well then Riot doesnt need to keep the replays of the games, they can just keep chat logs and some other stuff so it wont take so much space for them.

Important question. How do I save the current versioj of the game for later? The replay is from 11.7, but when 11.8 will come, how will I watch my replay? Can I save 11.7 somehow, do I have to?

when I drag the file into the shortcut it just loads forever, idk.

I got a solution for that!!!
Step 1: Just download any replay from today from your profile and copy and paste (to backup the replay) the replay (from your lol replays folder) and put in in a folder on your desktop.
Step 2: take the name from your own replay which you downloaded one minute ago. You can find this in your lol replays folger. Look at the time stamp on the files to know which replay is the right one.
Step 3: Rename the File you got from another person and put this file into your lol replay folder and delete the original file first.
Step 4: Now go to your league launcher > go to your profile and watch your replay which you have downloaded some minutes ago from your launcher and click on watch now.
So this means, you simply steal the name from your own client replay and give it to the file you want to watch from another person. Then you go to your launcher and watch the replay you downloaded a few minutes ago in your launcher. Instead of watching your own video, you will now see the rofl file from your friends or whatever person.
Just tested this a minute ago. Have fun.

I did exactly what is presented in the video, but when I launch the replay, the game launches then tells me: "league of legends critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated"
It says that "Failed to open replay, the game will now exit" how do i fix this?

Lordøfweed said in the comment below there's another way to watch replay. BUT, what is said in this video worked for me only with a legacy installation of league of legends, it means through the old installer of league of legends, the one you can find through the Hextech repair tool, from a the new installer it will be an instant bug splash EDIT: INSTALLATION SHOULD STAY IN ENGLISH (in french I got the bugSplash Dunno why)

If I created the league shortcut on patch 11.22 all the replays I have from patch 11.22 will always work on that shortcut or when patch 11.23 launches will the videos from 11.22 will not work on it? Please answer.

Yeah that's stupid. Technically it would probably be possible but Riot is too lazy to check for compatibility / ensure backwards compatibility

Sometimes the replay files corrupt and you cant launch them, another method people have who have issues is try renaming the lol short cut, some people said that helped them but i've never experienced this myself
I have a question, I have downloaded 3 game replays and the issue is when I click to load and watch the replay it is not the games that i played and the replays i downloaded. instead they are replays of completely random games with randoms.
What if the game is older than 20 games ( so only the history in the client ) is there a way to dowload it on an external website ?

I don't get a bug or anything, it just opens the launcher. Played a game technically today, 15 hours ago and can't watch it anymore. This is dumb.
Edit: Your video is great and it probally works when RIOT doesn't patch overnight.
yeah unfortunately once the patch hits all previous patch replays dont play on the client anymore i have no clue if there's a work around

This doesn't work for me, my replay is only a day old for the current patch of me typing this. All this does for me is open my league client to the homepage.
the replay system is really buggy and for some reason doesnt work for everyone
@@GodlyPolo I googled roflplayer and found one on github you can download to replay and save your games, it works perfectly for me
