I've loved this song since forever but never seen it performed and don't know much about The Turtles. Incredibly catchy and with a narrative conceit I find kinda cute.

I think singer Howard Kaylan is singing live here, It certainly has that feel about it .

That's what it sounded like to me (notes on the single are much higher) but I wanted to cover myself in case my ear was playing tricks.
