Pouring water on lava creates obsidian (or sth like that). The Tzhaar are already rocks, so pouring more water on them wouldn't affect them, it would only be an extra shower. :)
Not true, the tzharr would be solidified further which leads to their death. If you go in the inner city you can find permanently solidified tzharr that are effectively dead. After being solid for a long time they break down the bodies of their dead to create tokkul.
Im 90% sure water strike is worth it, 60% increased cost for 50% increased dsmage is already close to guarenteed, but add on the 50% increased accuracy *and* the higher base xp for water strike and it should be >60% xp increase
@Tellacon also don't forget the time you'll save. Less casting, less world hopping for buying runes. Plus you'll eave yourself pain by casting less spells, since it will be big for your wrists! QOL all around
Lesser demons have a 40% weakness though, not 50% Since max hits rounds down, it ends up increasing max hit to only 11 not 12, which is a 37.5% damage increase. When optimizing purely for Tokkul per kill, wind strike is better (by like 30-50 Tokkul) but I'd probably just use water strike anyway since current method for Tokkul is pretty fast
They’d make more money doing a pvm bot farm or something else. This takes a lot of accounts and at least an hour or 2 at max efficiency to afford one onyx.

When I were doing 99 magic on my karamja only account I needed about 3 mil tokkuls for all the runes. Getting 85 mining and selling runite ores was by far the fastest way to obtain tokkuls.
Also, after the first part of the video I can say that lamping is probably your best way forward. Implings give a mithril pickaxe, lamping to 21 will allow you to mine silver and gold.
Appreciate the video. Been home sick today throwing up so much, I too, feel like a ChunkVolcano. Glad to have something good to watch while I stay home.
In terms of costs, your expected hit per tokkul (excluding zeros) is: wind strike: sum(8) / 8 /10 tokkul = 3.6 damage/tokkul water strike: sum(12) / 12 / 16 = 4.8 damage per tokkul => 33% more! Use water strike for sure.
Being happy of small things, like, you getting mithril scimitar, nostalgily reminds me about past, I stucked on Leo graveyard event, and only my friends friend, who asked his classmate to come in my house to solve the problem, I was so happy to finally get out of that place after few days, it was 18 years ago, but still a memory that I will not forget. No autocast is reason enough to do water runes since it's less clicks. It's also faster so you can spend more time doing other things. Even if water strike is slightly less damage per tokkul it's still probably worth.
Loving the series so far and looking forward to the next episode already! just a heads up. TzHaar-Hur's drop Chisels , so you will need to get 67 crafting to be able to cut the Onyx in the Tzhaar shop. have a great one!
The water spell may cost 60% more, but it does 50% more damage and deals damage 50% more often. On top of that, it gives slightly more XP. I would say that is definitely worth the additional costs.
to answer your question - that version of the rune shop you see is ironmen only, and many many ironmen dump hundreds of thousands of death runes into the shop by buying runepacks for GP, turning it into tokkul, then buying onyxes for jewelry oh also the last person alive can just divine pot + locator orb to kill themselves, you dont need to hit them.
I've been getting this vid recommended to me for days, but haven't clicked it because I had no idea this was the second video of your series that I had started. Would strongly recommend adding that to the title so you don't have people like me just not click your video.

@@Tellaconwell 1000 hours is only 41.67 days straight as opposed to the 1.7 straight YEARS that 15k hours would have been. (That’s 1.7 years if you only play the game 24/7 during that time frame so realistically it would take much longer than 1.7 years)
I'm no runescape expert but about the water strikes, the cost is 16 vs 10 that's a 60% cost increase for only a 50% increase in max damage, im not sure how big of a factor the accuracy makes but it seems not worth it unless the accuracy difference adds a lot more average damage per cast
If you don't mind resizable. you can move ur spellbook right next to your target, minimizing mouse travel distance. It doesnt sound like a big help, but with manual casting it may save your wrists!
It's 100% the experience rates, Karamja Elites also reduce the time to complete the pressure pad obstacle by 1 tick, so with Karamja Elites you used to be able to auto click for ~40k xp per hour.
i know buying an obby item would be "waste of tokkul" BUT - buying the staff enables auto cast, mage bonus obviously - but it is ALSO a great melee waeapon. 55 crush, 55 strength..could be worth for its hybrid purposes. You have access to pirates, and skeletons (armed and unarmed) which drop laws, natures, and cosmics as well. This unlocks jewelry, as well, if you do open up your POH, you can eventually make workshop for moulds for crafting...altho i do have no idea how youd ACTUALLY train construction to that lvl. ALSO, clue croziers and staves can autocast - but if u ever compelted a clue im sure ud just get a normal staff.
POH is something I'm looking forward to when I actually manage to roll chunks 😭 I went through it in the video, I have 0 beginner or easy clue steps, and not really any ways to get clues here, it's a weird set of chunks!
@@Tellacon the only other solution i found im sure you came up with arleady...lvl 50 for implings for an elemental staff....you'd have 99 mage and every obby item before then lmfao.
I’ve got a question. There’s a fire rune on the floor that spawns. Why not keep picking it up while you’re training, you can sell them or use them over time.
Without Karamja Gloves they sell for 0 tokkul, I'll gloss over this next video, using them is also irrelevant as fire strike is the same max hit as wind strike with no fire weaknesses, and using it forces me to use more air runes, so it's kinda a net loss

Tella - love the series. Thanks for investing your time and energy to keep us all entertained. Curious if you've thought about this option for the smithing grind. (No idea if it'd really be practical, but curious to hear your thoughts.) There are 3 Brimhaven steps for medium clues that are currently completable on this account. On the medium casket drop table is the adamant pickaxe. Theoretically, would lamping to 31 mining and pursuing an addy pick through medium clues be more viable than the tokkul grind? One road block I see is when looking at which NPCs drop mediums, it seems like it would be difficult/impossible to get any medium clues within the area of Brimhaven/Karamaja you have unlocked. However, there are a bunch of tribesmen/tribeswomen that spawn west of Brimhaven Dungeon. Maybe they could be lured into a range that would allow you to kill? Clue nests is also a theoretical possibility, but I can't imagine that would be worth the time investment.
Thanks! I've tried with the tribeswomen and doesn't seem to be that possible, realistically I could lamp hunter for a mith pick AND mining, but it'd take a long time and force me into a puro grind if I roll north 🤔 Tis a hard choice
Idk if you can get a spade but if so there's a hard clue wizard step you can get elemental staffs from near volcanoes. You'll have to get the hard clues from skilling or mystery box random event though
@Tellacon depends how long your starting chunk lasts, it takes nearly no effort to check the clues as they come in while ur doing other stuff. If you happen to get the correct step, then ez staffs. There was another snowflake iron that had to do it with elite clues bandos/arma warrior where he found a way to kill them indefinitely without completing the step. To address the question of why TzHaar aren't weak to water: Remember that the TzHaar are the ones who literally constructed the world. They are far more powerful than those lesser demons, and are essentially using Karamja as a retirement home. I do not know if it's explicitly stated, but they likely sculpted the seafloors as well. Really, if there is any creature in the world that should have no elemental weakness, TzHaar are a top contender.
You can also lamp hunter to 46 and mining to 21 for a mith pickaxe from earth implings, then smelt gold and silver. If you do that, you'll also open up range training through bowstrings from young implings. So you get the rings and potentially d'hide from implings, if you're insane enough. Not sure if you're including implings for tasks, but you're going to be in this chunk for a long time regardless. May be worth it if you have enough lamp xp
Water strike is definitely worth it vs demons, but probably not against the T'zharr. The spell power change means that the wind spells are honestly the best option a lot of the time
Put karamja and or #2 in the title. I was suggested this video like 5 times and didn’t click as it was unfamiliar while waiting for this exact video lol.
even if the cost per kill would be the same with air or water strike, the time saved by using water strike you can use to gain even more tokkul. This probably makes using water strike alot more useful
i recently started working at FedEx and its really funny how many factor boxes ive seen in the last 2 weeks, and i wonder how many are from runescape content creators.
Great new series to watch, TH-cam recommended actually doing work for once. I think the way you explain the details around the account and the game are great, however I would like to say that sometimes things are over explained, or repeated. It's great for new players who are inexperienced, for sure, but for the experienced it can be tiresome to hear things that are considered simple concepts over and over. It's a fine balance, I guess. It's not a big complaint, but wanted to give some thought. Great video either way and look forward to future ones.
Lesser demons are 40% weak to water, which results in a roughly 38.5% faster kill time (goes between 35% and 42% depending on your magic level). If wind strike takes an average 25 casts to kill a lesser demon, water strike would take 25/1.385 = 18.05 average casts to kill. Wind strike = 25 * 10 = 250 tokkul Water strike = 18.05 * 16 = 288.8 tokkul Water strike is more expensive per kill than wind strike, and yes that factors in the fact that both the accuracy and damage go up. Water strike is only useful to save time at the cost of more tokkul.
Honestly, this type of videos always makes me question sanity of creator as well as things like "Is this grind even possible to do in a span of X months/years?". Yet, I see them do it without even hesitating.
The issue is, iron is also 6.25xp per ore because of no rings of forging and their 50% success rate, and cost more tokkul per ore - so they're actually far worse because I only have a furnace
@@Tellacon Fair enough. I'm probably too used to seeing these accounts being forced to rely on superheat item to make their bars or other similarly insane things, and that would give the 100% rate on the iron ore at the cost of a few fire runes and natures

Really, if there is any creature in the world that should have no elemental weakness, TzHaar are a top contender.
let me get this straight... a 3000 hour grind to unlock a 15000 hour grind.. oh boy
Or lamp smithing to 85
Glad you took the fight caves as a prayer restore into account from my comment last video love it 👌🏽
Please put numbers of episodes on the title. Great serie.
Did not know this was #2 episode, could be good to add.
The Retribution Deaths look super satisfying!
They are!
Water strike is definitely worth it vs demons, but probably not against the T'zharr.
The spell power change means that the wind spells are honestly the best option a lot of the time
My new serie addiction cant wait for the next episode😭
Tellacon, if you can get that man you mentioned into your chunk, you could possibly thieve it for thieving xp
Brimhaven Agility is so fun, I can't imagine why people just do that AFK thing.
You do it between tickets probably?
Put karamja and or #2 in the title. I was suggested this video like 5 times and didn’t click as it was unfamiliar while waiting for this exact video lol.
it's not possible to get to crandor island yet is it?
Nope!
Good luck my dude!
even if the cost per kill would be the same with air or water strike, the time saved by using water strike you can use to gain even more tokkul. This probably makes using water strike alot more useful
i recently started working at FedEx and its really funny how many factor boxes ive seen in the last 2 weeks, and i wonder how many are from runescape content creators.
Sir this is the 1st video of yours I've seen. Sir you are a fucking unit. This is so insane. All the respect in the world
Thanks beast
Like this comment if you’d nominate Tellacon for best “new” creator
Alien food
There are so many good new creators this year. It will be interesting for sure
@@zbanul10He’s surely to win tbh
agree
You could boost at the FFA (fight pit?) With somejuan? Like Limpwurst, he is doing literally the same chamlenge?
isnt that exactly what hes doing
Great new series to watch, TH-cam recommended actually doing work for once.
I think the way you explain the details around the account and the game are great, however I would like to say that sometimes things are over explained, or repeated. It's great for new players who are inexperienced, for sure, but for the experienced it can be tiresome to hear things that are considered simple concepts over and over. It's a fine balance, I guess. It's not a big complaint, but wanted to give some thought. Great video either way and look forward to future ones.
sorry telly for any sperg rage comments i like your videos. carry on, its your series, you do what you want homeboy
This is the best chunklocke on youtube
I haven't heard you mention the inferno yet. Are you including that in your goals for these chunks? :o
Will be going through this a little later in the series, but it IS chunk goals
No way I thought it was gonna be months before we got the next episode
Lesser demons are 40% weak to water, which results in a roughly 38.5% faster kill time (goes between 35% and 42% depending on your magic level). If wind strike takes an average 25 casts to kill a lesser demon, water strike would take 25/1.385 = 18.05 average casts to kill.
Wind strike = 25 * 10 = 250 tokkul
Water strike = 18.05 * 16 = 288.8 tokkul
Water strike is more expensive per kill than wind strike, and yes that factors in the fact that both the accuracy and damage go up. Water strike is only useful to save time at the cost of more tokkul.
I think your strat was legit, especially given the insane thing you are doing.
i'm happy to know that i'm not the only one singin 'ruby ruby ruby ruby' everytime i get a random ruby
you can track obby monsters but you need the slayer gem or helm to check slayer log for those numbers
Body rune: Am I a joke to you?
Yes, yes you are, to everyone
37:02 I also played guitar hero 3
Honestly, this type of videos always makes me question sanity of creator as well as things like "Is this grind even possible to do in a span of X months/years?". Yet, I see them do it without even hesitating.
where does my hand go? sir.... that is your hand
Definitely going to join the tokkel grind when it comes up
Please 👀 They will happen often while I need runes, and then there will be a giant one for a "world record" for the smithing tokkul stack
I agree with your point about fight pits i say farm it its part of the gamemode utilizing tricks to improve the grinds
18:21 ifd you get too hot water evaporates too fast to do anything.
Just a quick comment here, but there is some amount of iron in the shop as well, so that would potentially speed up the smithing grind a bit
You can train thieving if you d spear the man into your chunk with an alt. Would be a hellish grind but would unlock so much more content
