It's a shame that the project wasn't continued. I think the idea of incorporating such functions into the moving spot of size is really cool. I'm currently thinking about replicating the gobo wheel idea from the previous video for 5 moving spots. Maybe there will be another update to the modified moving spot in the future :)
I went to subscribe and was stunned that you only have 40 subscribers. I was expecting thousands! Great videos and ideas, as well as presentation, really looking forward to seeing this grow. I also have 2 of these moving heads and haven’t thought of modding them, but I might replace the gobo wheel as well, it’s pretty useless now. Keep up the great work!
Hey man! Thanks! I'm hoping to get more videos out, but all the different works have been crazy. Hoping to make some videos surrounding my different jobs, though, so that should be interesting. Anyway, I have plans to put the files up for those static gobo wheels from the other video somewhere. You could pretty easily draw them up as well. There's not much to them. It's a super easy mod that makes them so much more useful. I'd say give it a go!
why dont you fully print an moving head it seems like you do have the knowlage to make that happen. :) it wil be so interesting to follow that journey here on youtube.
I've considered it... We'll see. The toughest part by far is the optics. I'm no optical engineer, in fact, I have NO knowledge on lense systems. If there's anyone out there that has the knowledge necessary or someone who could point me to some solid resources, that would be MEGA helpful for a number of projects! So i got one of those and i like them but i wanted some more power so i order a 20w led kit and made a 3dmodel and got 2 gobo wheels and a color wheel and i put in the led and the ouput looks like an 2w flaslight for some reason it realy is not bright do u have some tips for that?
