I found your tutorials very informative. I downloaded librecad because Autocad will no longer accept the license key to my older Autocad which I paid almost $3000.00 for. I am 78 and only use it for woodworking and machine parts. Shame on them! Well learning a new system will help to keep my mind working well. Thanks and Kudos on a job well done.

libreCAD is new for me and also i didn't draw in auto CAD for nearly 10 years, so I'm just your new student , Thank you and I'll keep following you.

Thanks David. I started using LibreCAD when I needed to print 2D scale drawings to be used as templates in my woodworking. Because the program has been so useful to me, I decided to start creating some tutorial videos.
Here's a link to the first video about LibreCAD: 26. Get creative drawing with LibreCAD th-cam.com/video/21pD_rFdoDQ/w-d-xo.html
I also have a playlist with all of my LibreCAD tutorials. Here's a link: th-cam.com/play/PLGCBwUeR2BD2ypYi5k0c4p6M52YO8Z-WD.html
Thanks for your comment and feel free to leave any questions. If you prefer, you can email me at : ImagineThenMAKE@gmail.com . Thanks for watching.

Very good videos for starters. Very clear and relaxed way of explaining.
Can you please let me know to switch to relative coordinate instead of specifying from 0,0.

Thanks for the kind words. I have never used the relative coordinate system, I have always drawn from the (0,0) origin. I'll try to get back to you about how to do that soon. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

When drawing a line, can you pick a first point and then specify a direction and a distance from that point

Almost. Click on the Tools menu, then Line, then Angle, enter the angle you want to draw the line at, then enter the length of the line to be drawn, then click on your drawing where the start of the line needs to be. The line starting point can be a grid snap point, snapped to another line's endpoint, or any other location in your drawing. If I don't get the line length exactly right, I can elongate it or trim it later.
I have a playlist of my LibreCAD videos. In there, you'll see me make extensive use of the Angle command. Here's the link to the playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLGCBwUeR2BD2ypYi5k0c4p6M52YO8Z-WD.html
Thanks for your question and for watching.
