I’ve been watching your tutorial and wanted to say how much I appreciate it. I have a two-monitor setup-your video is on the right, and Inkscape is open on the left (I’m using Linux). As I watch, I replicate everything you do step by step. If something isn’t clear, I rewind and play it again while experimenting in Inkscape until I figure it out. You’ve done an incredible job creating this tutorial! This is day three, and I still have over two hours of watching time left. I’ve subscribed and liked your video to show my support. Your explanations are so clear and easy to follow. With other tutorials, I’ve often hit roadblocks where I couldn’t replicate the steps, but your video-combined with ChatGPT-has made all the difference. I’m finally learning Inkscape! Thank you so much!
This app is certainly more intuitive than Illustrator. In just the first 20 minutes, I was able to grasp the essentials, which I had struggled with in Illustrator. Thanks to the tutor, it was really easy to understand. He truly added value to Inkscape.
I recently found this video and was so surprised to find you actually do begin at the very beginning and explain thoroughly as you go. I started casually watching it until I got to about 30 minuets and realized I was not really retaining much. So I started over and am trying to duplicate in Inkscape the things you do in the video and find each and every icon and etc. It's taken me several day of doing this--as well as taking notes as I go along--and I'm all the way up to Copying and Cloning! Not fast, but I'm really learning and I so appreciate you clear teaching and visuals that make it all happen. Thank you 😊
"Hey, thank you so, so much for such a clear, concise, yet complete guide on Inkscape. This not only shows your expertise in Inkscape but also your passion for graphic design and kindness to others in the field."
superb tutorial it ticks all the boxes: clear english, detailed, essential and focused explanation, gradual level of difficulty, clean use of the canvas, etc.. thank you
More in two hours than in an entire college course. Thank you! I've been looking for a program to make designs for my CNC router. Thanks to you, I've found it!
Brilliant. Just brilliant. Perfectly paced and seemingly no stone unturned. It also serves to illustrate what a supremely capable and rich Inkscape is. At zero cost - kind of compelled to contribute towards the continued update now. Thanks for great teaching.
This tutorial is so very good! Lots of features I could not find from the help files or Inkscape manuals. Extremely nice organised and clearly explained. Thank you very much and big hoeveel!
I have been searching relentlessly for tutorials in how to use INKSCAPE. Yours top my list! You speech is in clear, understandable english You explain in detail, and the explanations are essential and focused. I am definitely going to go through some of you other tutorials. Are they based in version 1.3.2?👌
i downloaded inkscape because ive been using raster art programs for a while now but im really interested in using vector art but i kept on getting overwhelmed with inkscape at first. now that ive found this tutorial and im only 38 miniutes in ive got my hands on the basics so now im gonna try out using vector art for logos and things and raster art for my more details art things
Just discovered Inkscape this month. Enjoyed watching the video, learned a lot, and for the first time got the feeling I can fulfil my very limited needs with Inkscape. Very good tutorial, clear and detailed. Very good tutor. Thank you so much 😀😀
I know what you mean... I think. Consider the logo of this channel and it is a logo. The head of the cat is of a distinctive cat shape at any size. I can really appreciate these things now. The wavy lines for the aroma of the coffee rising with the vapor. All of that is with precisely two colors if you don't count the white of the background with simple shapes can clearly illustrate that scene with such ease. That sweater is so simple and yet it does make the cat so much more memorable. I've been noticing that with a lot of other logos especially of TH-cam channels.
I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to the Inkscape Mentor for the incredibly detailed and understandable guidance on using the application. Your explanations were comprehensive and easy to follow, which has significantly enhanced my understanding of Inkscape. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
I've seen this tutorial in another computer and it's probably one of the best and most comprehensive tutorials I've seen for an application like Inkscape. It's clear, concise and very easy to follow. I've learned a lot in just a short period of time.. It also goes straight to the point and doesn't waste time explaining a lot of mundane things. The author also doesn't have to show his face and waste real estate space. The theme is also in light mode as oppose to dark, which I will never understand with others who make a mistake, imho, of doing tutorials in dark mode. It's counter productive and it's not easy on the eyes.
Enjoyed watching the video, learned a lot, and for the first time got the feeling I can fulfil my very limited needs with Inkscape. Very good tutorial, very good tutor, time well spent :)
I got away from graphic design years ago. I used Adobe Fireworks to show that age. I need to design a digital screen and am so glad I found Inkscape. My graphic preference has always been vector. I am hyper fixated on learning as much about Inkscape as I can.

@@sayedgafer5322 Hey I noticed when I have Fill and stroke selected and in toolbox select option selected. And in this case when I drag object it just lags a bit. Like if I dragged an object to a farther position then object is dragged after a while ( Delay is about 0.5 to 1 second ) But when I do with layers tab opened, I do not see any lag. Also another thing I experienced is with time Inkscape gets slower. Like when clicking on an object the selection box around object appears a while later which is noticable. Is this only me or problem with Inkscape ? BTW I have Win 10 laptop with 4GB DDR4 3200 MHz And available ram is about 2.2 GBs Yes my windows is modified ( lite version )
Thank you so much for all that work. Incredible. I am in the sewing community and many want to use Inkscape to alter or tweak sewing patterns. I will recommend your deep dive, whenever asked for advice in the sewing groups. I found the shape builder so helpful for that. May I add, that shape bulider also works with lines, as long as the lines end outside the path I want to cut. What is neat, it does not take away lenght from the path. The nodes where cut are on top of each other. 🥰🤩
What an amazing tutorial! I have used Inkscape for years, but for the first time, learned so much about it! This will surely stay in my favorites playlist!
Thank you very much for this great and to the point tutorial. You are a great teacher and it would be nice if you make such a tutorial on GIMP as well.
i learned ai before, and omg i love inkscape more, like the UI makes more sense to me, especially the colors. I always have trouble with picking color in ai, firstly it use mostly palette (a palette that strangely never save my color for next project), also the text on circle path, always have trouble with make the text go inside. I just hate to work in ai.
I have a question that maybe you can answer. I have a thank you card that was an adobe file. I exported it as a png and then put it in inkscape so I could copy the writing and make multiple prints. The problem is when I i make it a bitmap in inkscape and then try and print it out the software makes the letters as outlines and then tries to fill them in which is not what i want. I want them as a single drawing. Since it is a bitmap there is no way to use the hershey font as that font should make a single point drawing. I have even tried just copying a vector art file and still inkscape wants to make an outline on some parts and then fills them in. DO you have any suggestions on how to make it so it is not making outlines of letters and then trying to fill them in? Thanks!
I have a question. Sometimes the handles of nodes will only move straight out from a node or straight into the node , like I can't move them to curve the stroke or path . Sorry I'm still not well versed with inkscape terms lol if you can understand what I'm saying , can you tell me what I'm doing wrong or how to fix it ?

Every software needs a guy like you and a guide like this. Not joking. 👍
Are you a Blender user? 😁
Absolutely, I agree. Can't quite place the accent, but it's clear enough!

@@SweaterCatDesigns yes I am
@SweaterCatDesigns sometimes they work like they are supposed to but sometimes it's like they just go straight in and out from the node .
