    All are mean saws. I really liked Mike's 461. Eating that much wood that fast is amazing.

      that one was built a little hotter... hes got like 75 saws i have done for him so i can get a bit ridiculous on some lol... might have had a timing advance and 044 coil which i usually dont mess with timing and leave the stock coil

    Hi, that weird cut at the last video i think is called a bore cut or triggered fall cut, it's used in trees with too much lean where a normal cut (from outside to the middle of the tree) could cause the tree to split vertically while the back cut is not complete, this is know as a "barberchair", in these cases the trees are cut from the middle to the back, btw, is really amazing your work, i started with the videos of the limb reaper and now i'm amazed with all your creations

    Hey John, we have a 461 and a classic 200T. What can you do for them? And how do we order one those that you are building. We are in Wisconsin. I’ll drive right to you.

    I have a old 046 d shape combustion chamber do the 461 have more potential ported than the 046???

    • @johnscustomsaws
      @johnscustomsaws  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      People will argue that for days man... if both saws are brand new then I would hop up that 46 and make some woodchip waterfalls... if its older and beat up different story... also depend on who does it... the 461 HAS to be machined... im finding out that a lot of guys don't machine the cylinders and it was a shock to hear that... I don't care what anyone says you need to machine both really but especially the 461...

    Boy they’re zippy! Lots of people don’t believe me when I say production loggers don’t like to run stock saws. Here’s some more proof of it. That’s John!

    • @johnscustomsaws
      @johnscustomsaws  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really... thats definitely not true i know q lot of productiob cutters that run ported saws... they are picky about who does the work... they have to be reliable and last... I think a lot of guys build strong saws but i also believe that not all build them to last and thats what I pride myself on... people have all heard the stories of their freshly ported saw blowing up in 2 weeks and thats just ridiculous... lotta guys build great saws but a lot are hacks unfortunately as well... they give the rest of us a bad name

      @@johnscustomsaws yessir plenty of great builders out there. Some bad ones that give a bad rap to the good ones.
