Bro, u did a vid on why ur intake ports are usually rough and exhaust are polished smooth. And I agree with ur theory fully . I am an outboard technician who lives on an island in the caribbean alot of 2stroke outboard here. I also modify a few Yamaha's and tohatsu's . I believe our quest to find the perfect balance between torque without killing rpm is the same. There is this one lil mod I do on all my intake ports. I get the smallest round bur bit I can find and do lil dimples ,like a golf ball has on it. Helps it travel thru the air faster. I would love to see u do it on one of those saws. Think it will be an interesting vid. Have a blessed year my brother

I say do what you like to do John people going to hate no matter what I love seeing pissed saws in the wood but I also like seeing a different perspective on builds I do my own but refuse to build for others just because when I did in the past they always ignored my warnings and blew up perfectly good saws and while I have no intentions of building hybrid saws because I have no use for one in the woods I do love to see your builds so keep doing what makes you happy and let the haters hate cause that’s what they do and the more they hate the better you must be doing so I say hate away 🤙

This is a shame, a guy comes out the gate so strong and then just falls off and stops making videos like you. Hate to see it happen cause you made fun videos and you were really picking up momentum with subs. I think the channel could have easily been the biggest saw channel on TH-cam. Hope you’re ok and hope you come back eventually.
The people who are mad, because you "talk too much", are just pissed because they don't understand what you are saying. That said, 15 minutes of saws running isn't bad either.

What does the term "ported saw" or "to port a saw" mean?
If porting a saw is such a good thing why don't the manufactures just do it?
Porting can mean a number of things: The process of re-machining the ports and chamfering edges for better airflow and more power. Polishing the cylinder and tightening tolerances. Advancing/retarding the timing. It can also include a base gasket delete which improves the squish band. It's the same idea behind hot-rodding cars.
I kinda get the timing but how do you know how much to take off when porting and if you re time it how do you know if your going to make power or performance or just kill the motor
I'd like to see someone make a supercharger for a chainsaw and see how it can perform, I'm not talkin about a turbocharger I mean a supercharger.

I live in north Idaho. I have a 661 with wcs bark box and a high flow air filter. I'm ordering a wiseco race piston. Do you know any shops near me that could port and polish.im also looking to modify a 500i injection system and an after market coil for my saw. I run a 74" bar,404 x 063,harvester milling chain(saw only mills on a grandberg mill)

I hoped you might have a special rit die mix that you might could explain????? I like your channel....I restore older logging saws mostly sthil and Husqvarna....if you ever are looking for pro grade saws to hot rod or whatever I have about 30 maybe 35 saws ...anything that's logging grade in a sthil or Husky I HV them most all are runners....I restore them one by one as a hobby.....if you could help me on the dye that would be great ...I was base coat clear coat painting til I saw your dye video

@@jeremylyons6252 I only have one 066...They are one of the hardest saws I try to find....I thought I had two but after running the numbers I found the other to be a 660....I build my 660 saws the way sthil built the 066....I use a 66 carb on all them ...But the the 066 I have is the only true 66 I own and it's a nice saw not been used much ...I bought it from a man in his 80s....My plans for it was to clean it and shine it up .....put new decals on it and sit it on the shelf ...People seem to really desire those saws....I'll say they do perform well....I have about 5 660 and since I got a 066 I was able to make them run better by seeing how sthil set up the 66....basicly EPA is why the two saws don't run the same ....I guess back when the 66 was built thing were more lax....If you want to email me ..countryboykip1967@gmail.com....I'll talk to you about it ....I don't really want to do buisness on you tube ....I can tell you it's a nice saw but all my saws I restore to new condition before I sell them ....Which in this case it just needs cleaning and decals it's not been used enough to need anything else ...PM me and I'll talk to you about it.....I have a very nice 460 also .......those are a very mean saw
@@jeremylyons6252 I also have a 372xp I have not redone yet ..,.I have 4 of the 2100 husky which is a 100cc saw ...they out perform most saws ....I have a 3120xp that I've got to put a cylinder and carb on it....the saw doesn't have a nick on it really nice saw I bought it in Texas they used parts off it to keep a older 3120 milling so all the plastic is like new on it.....I plan to take this saw completely apart bc it looks to good to be true
