So Stranger Things Season 4 is the first entry in the series to be split up into two parts. On July 1st we're gonna be getting the second volume with the final two episodes dropping the same day. These are gonna be supersized with the first being an hour and 25 minutes with the finale coming in at an incredible 2 and a half hours.
Longer than my last relationship this is gonna have the run time of most Marvel and Star Wars tv shows and they have a lot of things that they can do in them. Throughout this video I wanna give our theories on where we think things will be going whilst also going over some spoilers from Part 1.
No idea why you're here if you've not seen it but on the off chance you got the watch order of the prediction videos before the last season upside down then this is your last chance to check out before we do a deep dive on the entire thing.
If you're still here, then thanks for sticking with me, now let's turn it up to eleven and get into Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2.
Now the first major thing that comes from the end of Volume 1 is that I think it confirms Eleven gets her powers back. Early on in the season we heard Dr. Owens talk about how he thinks the nina project will revitalise her abilities and help in the upcoming war.
In the series we learn that this is a giant machine with a floatation device in the middle that is equipped with television screens so that the person inside of it can view recordings. We learn that the name of it comes from the Opera of the same name created by Nicolas Dalayrac.
This piece is basically about a woman who discovers that her lover was killed during a duel and in order to save herself the pain of this her brain buried the memory in her subconscious. Completely hiding the trauma she believed him to be alive and would venture out to a train station every day believing that he would return.
The truth of the matter was hidden from her by herself due to the anguish that came from it and this is very similar to Eleven who lost her powers after the events of Season 3.
Nina is very much about her taking a trip into her memory and the subconscious to discover the truth about her past and to also showcase to her how she gained her abilities in the first place. This not only gives us the truth about Vecna but it's also her basically going through the motions once more so that she can remember how to tap into her abilties.
Now because Eleven manages to do this and the season ends with us coming full circle from how it starts off I do believe that this means her powers are now back. In taking a trip down memory lane and through going through all the paces of the Nina project she has finally rediscovered them. So I think that come next time my number 1 prediction, put it in writing. Eleven will get her powers back.

Saw a theory that the reason why Will was able to stay alive in the Upside down was because he kept singing his favourite song
I saw this too! Also Billy heard the clocks when he first entered the upside down in S2. Apparently the writers actually had the same overarching storyline created since S1. But they added things like the Russian storyline so it'd keep going.

When Dustin rolled an 11 during the D&D game they were unable to beat Vecna, but when they rolled a 20 they were able to defeat him. I think that 20 is significant. I believe the 20 symbolizes Eleven and the other nine main cast members. Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Steve, Nancy, Johnathan and Robin.

Note that when playing DnD they roll an '11' against Vecna and it "isn't enough". Foreshadowing they will need more than just 'Eleven' to defeat him, maybe?

The very last memory Max has before breaking loose of Vecna is of her and Eleven. Since Vecna can seep into the minds of his victims do you think he could’ve possibly gotten stunned by the sight of Eleven?

You're not wrong. I don't know if they were doing a slow-mo for when Vecna was raising his hand over Max, or if he was genuinely shocked Eleven escaped and grew up. If that's true, then that explains why he didn't just kill Max off, that memory of Eleven is what probably made him hesitant.
That's a great catch! It makes total sense and also Vecna seems much more interested in the group after reading Max's mind.

This isnt necessarily a theory - but I kind of hope that government cant actually keep this a secret anymore and in the very least the town finally learns the truth. I think it would a)mirror nicely back to Eleven in the classroom talking about hopper being an unsung hero and b)also tie back to season 2 when Nancy wanted to tell Barb's parents the truth. It would finally give them all closure.

The way it ends completely is that Hawkins is going to be deemed a contamination site similar to times beach. ST follows 80s culture. There were quite a few rural towns to be shut down during that time

@@madhu_mita I can totally see Eddie being lynched. Sounds about right for the horror inspirations the shows based off. It would be tragic and brutal as hell and the actor certainly has the chops to convey all the emotions without making the scene goofy. We're all expecting him to sacrifice himself against the supernatural while ignoring the very obvious and human threat coming for him.

@@fullmetalb5241 They did have a whole story structure planned out from the beginning. So I'd imagine they knew about character deaths, who the villains will be and backstories of heros/villains alike. It's also been said that they had the whole Upside-Down-lore planned out from the beginning so I guess that includes Vecna. I suppose Gatens theory was just accidentally correct

I can totally see Brenner sacrificing himself to get Eleven out of the secret base once the army arrives. Even the next episode is called "Papa" so I think we'll see his backstory (including how he survived in season 1) and we'll learn that he's been doing all of this for an understandable reason. Doing evil things for the greater good kind of scenario.

@Delana Taylor Online I didn't say he was a good guy I just said we'll find out his backstory and learn that he thinks what he's doing is for the greater good. That doesn't mean what he is doing is the right thing it just means we'll get some insight into where his heads at. You know character development and keeping things interesting. Considering the episode is titled after him I'd be really surprised if we didn't get any of this in that episode. £20 it goes down like that rather than the black and white scenario you're trying to push. Brenner is far from the big bad... that's reserved for the mind flayer or if you're referring to season by season like in Buffy then this season's big bad is Vecna.
I think Eddie saves Nancy, you can see him in the trailer playing his guitar, the same trailer Nancy is under Vecna's spell.
I wonder why the upside down is stuck in time on the date Will first disappeared and not when Vexna first entered into into the upside-down. What makes Will so special that the upside down is stuck in time for him specifically despite everyone else who has entered the upside down...
my theory is that Will knew more about Hawkins than 001, since he wasnt allowed to leave the Lab. Or 001 was the one that gave the idea of copying Hawkins next time a gate was open, it would probably explain why his house is broken (as it was old in 1983).
I don't think the whole upsidedown is frozen in that time, just Nancy's room. When they first enter the watergate, the boat and oars are there. They use them to attack the bats. Its the same boat that they were JUST on in the real world.
I really don't know how it all works but I guess thats the point.

That’s what I was thinking because in the first episode when Eddie enters is room he kisses his guitar and says sorry I’m late, I was waiting for the guitar the whole time to pop up because they foreshadowed it for a reason
Eddie drops back into the upside down and grabs his guitar and plays “Lullaby” to snap Nancy out of it but it brings the demo-bats and he dies saving her. So Eddie saying he always runs away is foreshadowed how he will meet his end when he does not run away.
That would actually be a great scene if that happens but I can see a lot of fans getting mad that a new fan favorite is killed off in one season only

Everyone saying this realizes it shows Steve with Eddie fighting the bats while he plays guitar right….that means they both might die.
I think that too. People insist Steve if going to die. But...I don't see any major characters dying till season five. But some also think Will will die cause of the painting. Another death I doubt.

But he won't die in that scene as in the trailer for part two he is seen in the upsidedown wearing different cloths along with Nancy trying to free Robin who looks like got captures by vines. So he does get out. But I also know he goes back in. Or someone brings him a jacket I don't know. But nancy's cloth look different too. So I think they will get out. But for sure go back in. If Eddie plays the Guitar while Nancy is in her trance. He won't die in that scene as in the trailer, it shows him and Dustin wearing whatever make shift D&D gear they put together and the two are back to back ready to fight something. I mean anyone can die. I just don't think it's in the moment people think if they do.
I think for sure that Eddie is going to play Nancy's favorite song on the guitar (seen in the trailer), and that's how she'll get out. But this will unfortunately draw all the bats to him, and likely take him out in the process. It's gonna be one of those things where the whole town still thinks he killed everyone, but in reality he actually helped save a victim, but no one except the main crew will know it.

I hate to think that Eddie will die but it seems like the only logical thing to happen. Its happened before with Barb, Bob and Billy but man poor Eddie

Im worried about Eddie, he talks way to much about being the kinda guy who 'runs away', even episode 1 he says he'd have run from Vecna (in the game). Paired with the guitar scene, I wonder if he'll play his guitar to be the 'music' everyone needs to escape, sacrificing himself in the process.
Alternatively, and oh god hopefully, he'll just help Nancy get back by maybe playing a shredded version of the Top Gun theme, calling back to Nancy's Tom Cruise poster and something she recognizes. Maybe they knew the sequel was coming out I dunno, it _was_ only a few months old in the current season 4 times period. So its relevant there and currently

Are we sure the mind flayer wasn't Vecna's 5 star general?? I know Dustin described Vecna as such, but I feel like the mind flayer being Vecna's general better explains why it looks like a giant spider and it seems to me that all signs point to Vecna being the supreme power in the Upside Down.

Purely because I don’t want vecna to be the big bad I hope Dustin is right. The mind flayed has a lot more mystery surrounding it so I feel like it could be a better main villain while vecna is kinda like a side quest. The mind flayed has caused more damage and taken up more time in the show. And despite both of these we still don’t know a ton about it, making it seem potentially more dangerous than the supernatural serial killer vecna
Think about this... The mindflayer looks like a spider so it makes sense vecna is the big boss considering he was fascinated with spiders
If its Vecna, than what would be s5? Vecna is the general.
The mind flayer is formless but powerful and controls that dimension. I think once it entered Vecna's mind and saw the fear spiders caused humans it chose to take that form based on Vecna. I think it enhances Vecna's powers, makes him stronger (like the upside down is a large battery for him) and needs him to be able to open portals. That's why we haven't seen him before. Vecna has been learning how to do what 11 did and create a portal. Now he's ready and the mind flayer is going to bring war to our reality. I'll bet season 5 explores that part (I don't think they fully defeat Vecna here) and it will be global scale. I think Kali comes back and works with 11 and others with powers to finally defeat the Mind Flayer.
I predict the school counselor will come into play because she has a time piece necklace when Max goes to talk to her about Chrissie. Maybe she is connected to the Mind Flayer and finds vulnerable prey for Vecna who in turn can open gates

Murray has been cast as the lead actor in another series. I expect him to be either killed or written out of the show this season.
i lowkey think murray might die. it's just a theory and it'd be bittersweet. but think about it. as they're leaving alaska, so close to the finish line, so close to getting hopper home, he gets shot. like i imagine the exact scene as if it's happened and like him smiling then stopping to reveal he's just been shot. i love him and i hope he doesn't die, but i can't help but shake the feeling. like joyce and Murray breaking hopper (and antonov/enzo) out of a russian prison and getting off scott free sounds too good to be true. we've already had our heartbreak and trauma with hopper, joyce is wayyyy too much of a main character to kill off this season (wouldn't make sense to kill her right after she gets hopper back, that'd be dumb) and enzo needs to see his son. i can guarantee 1-3 major characters will die this season and a dreadful part of me thinks Murray could be one cause it would make sense.
@@sequinjin8332 Murray is my absolute favorite, but it does feel like he’s gonna die. It’s a shame cause he’s been a really useful character, but Susie is able to fill some of that role now. With the Russia plot (hopefully) ending after this season it just seems inevitable

Vecna uses Eleven attacking Angela as a means of convincing her she has the potential for evil. Mike tells eleven he loves her as she seals herself in the upside down with Vecna to defeat him and protect everyone else from her. Hopper is too late and witnesses this. S5 is then about freeing eleven from the upside down.
Hmm I guess her going again in the Upside Down defeating the Villain would be very repeat-ish cuz same kinda thing happened in Season 1
@@ShahnawazKhan-li1pt The Hawkins Lab, high school bullies, the upside down, a killer from the upside down are all repeats. I just think the arc for 11 and her own fears of becoming like 1, or being responsible for him may leave her stranded in the upside down by her own choice. I also think that MBB’s career outside Stranger Things and her powers being a solution (that the characters themselves refer to) means sidelining her in the upside down is a good plot device. But I am speculating, anything could happen.
There is no season 5....Eleven will die at the end of season 4.

I still think Will is somehow still involved in all this, whether his time in the Upside Down did something or (a fan-theory I really love) is that he has some kind of powers of his own that he hasn’t fully unlocked yet. Which could be why the Mind Flayer targeted him in the place and why the Upside Down is stuck at the time when Will first entered it.
He was so ignored in S3 and Vol 1 and I’m really hoping the Duffers have done this on purpose because he’s gonna have a bigger role to play in Vol 2 and S5.

Hmm. You may on to something. I remember Joyce referring to Will as sensitive or special, just like 001/Henry's father saying Henry was sensitive/special. Maybe he does have powers to emerge.

The second that Will steps into Hawkins Vecna is going to straight for him. He is like a trauma buffet.
I think Henry Creel got his powers from his soldier dad's chemical exposure - and I think Brenner injected the mothers of his test subjects with something similar.
thats precisely what i thought. they made it very prominent about hopper's daughter being affected by hopper's exposure to agent orange. as we see in victor's visions that henry made him have, he also fought in a war and was probably exposed to something, giving henry his powers. the wife and daughter died and henry went into a coma and victor said he died a week later (which we know isn't true) sure, he might have been in a coma, but he didn't die, brenner took him. brenner wanted more so he studied henry and probably injected or gassed the same chemicals victor was exposed to, to women (and maybe men) so they could reproduce and have kids with similar abilities. this would explain why almost all the kids have telepathy and telekinesis like 001 but also why 008 can make people see things, since 001 can do that as well. terry ives said jane/011 was born with abilities, that's cause she was. she was born specifically to replicate the abilities of 001. brenner knew how dangerous 001 was which is why he had the chip implanted, brenner knew henry killed his family. then he killed everyone when he was no longer dampened. 001 said brenner was scared of 011. 001 also said that 011 reminds him of someone he knew aka himself, his dangerous self. 001 saw himself in eleven, brenner saw the same which is why he would allow the kids to kill her. i know its weird to understand over a comment but yeah lol.

I think Steve will try to save Nancy but Eddie won’t let it happen because he knows how much Steve means to that group. So I believe that Eddie will play Nancy’s song on top of the van to save Nancy and Steve so they can get out. He has been saying he isn’t a hero and I think that moment is him deciding to be a hero. Maybe he doesn’t die but he get stuck in the upside down and season 5 could be the gang or some people in the gang trying to get him back. Also the reason I say Steve is because he is still in the upside down so you know he isn’t gonna leave her there by her self. The last two episodes will be amazing. I also believe that vecna won’t die. He will be the big bad in season 5 also.

@@paytonnevins5440 no we will be getting a season 5. There will be a time jump. The duffer brothers released a statement like two months before this season saying that season 4 will be the start of the end and season 5 will be the last

I have a bad feeling Steve is going to die. He has had too many close calls. I'm not sure what Vecna intends to do with Nancy, but I thought that maybe Steve will go to the house where Vecna is to attack/distract him to free Nancy from his control. I feel like they are going to take one of the "main" cast out, but not one of the younger kids or Nancy. I think Eddie may be Steve's replacement on the show. If Steve dies that will be a gut punch.

Especially when Eddie suggested he’d return the favor since Nancy saved him earlier. He has a really high chance of dying.

Out there theory, lots of comments about Eddie dying playing his guitar on the roof. Knowing how trailers bait and switch, MAYBE, it's part of the plan to lure the bats there as maybe El is already with them and the gang need to clear the way to get to the mansion. There was the foreshadowing of his conversation with Steve about Ozzie Osborne biting the head off a bat. He's not playing to save Steve, Steve had no idea who Black Sabbath was. And I don't think it was Nancy's taste in music either. So Eddie can be not running away for once and choosing to put himself in danger to help the team
Because Will has done very little this season, I think he's going to finally get to be a bigger part of the story. He's either going to sacrifice himself to save Elven or he's going to get turned and will be used against her.

THEROY TIME: So when Nancy and Robin were at the ward we got a foreshadow in the music room that said music could be a way to heal the broken mind. We see later music works with brining Max back. But we also hear the doctor say that some people are beyond a cure. I think this means someone in the group will not be able to be saved. Nancy perhaps? Since she now has let two friends have her die. Or maybe Hopper since he has a lot of guilt with his child passing.
Also side note the walk in the ward Nancy and Robin take passing all the cells is very reminiscent of Silence of the lambs.
And that’s the end of theory time.
I’m a bit worried about Mrs Wheeler. They seem to have been setting up over the past few seasons that she isn’t happy. This season Mr Wheeler has been much more openly a jerk as opposed to previous seasons when he just seems oblivious. Worried that Vecna will come for her and we will learn about a secret she has been hiding. It would tie into the classic film trope of a mother sacrificing herself to save her kids (it couldn’t be Joyce because that would just break the fans) and that even though she is their mom, the kids don’t know how to save her because they don’t really “know” her. Or maybe Mr Wheeler redeems himself by being able to save her and has his eyes open to the truth of everything that has happened in Hawkins/that the Government isn’t always good etc. I’m really interested to see what Will’s painting is. I rewatched the season, thinking that I somehow missed it (let me know if I did) but I think it’s going to reveal something big as well; something beyond the obvious. I also think we might loose Murray. He had an amazing story arc in Part 1 and has really transformed from when we first met him. Lastly, does anyone else think something bad may happen to Steve? He had an quick line about breathing in a bunch of the dust in the Upsidedown-which we know from prior seasons is toxic. Not sure how that would come out but don’t think the line was there by accident. Anyone else notice this?
I think Steve dies this season. With the recent nancy stuff I think it would make his death so much deeper as we see him struggle with his feelings for her. If they do his death right I think it could be a very powerful part of the show. But then again I really thought max would die and I thought it was a great death, making the teens realize they can't save even some of their closest friends

One of my personal theories for volume 2 is that Jason will have a bigger role. Although he seems like a villain, I believe that he will get possessed by Vecna from his guilt of not being able to save Chrissy. He could die, as he is somewhat a side character. But I think then, he might escape and realizes he is wrong about Eddie. I think he could join the Hawkins gang for season 5. I feel like he’d make a good character when he’s not mad. And if you tell me he is scripted to be a villain, I’ll tell you that so was Steve originally.
I have a feeling the whole basketball crew will end up being a key part of saving the town. They have too much passion for their cause to not end up doing something more in the next half.

for me, an interesting revelation happened in the scene where henry creel discovers the spiders: it is hinted that he had his powers before dr. brenner found him, and that he had some communication with the upside down through the spiders. this could mean that the upside down contacted people before the hawkins lab existed. i wonder if we'll learn more about that. by the way, the version of the opera nina recorded in the show is not the original by dalryac, but a version by giovanni paisiello, which is still perforemed today. in any case, trains didn't exist at the time.
I think Will has powers like 11. His mom calls him sensitive in season 1 the same word Victor used to describe Henry. This was foreshadowed when they roll an 11 and it’s not enough to defeat the mindflayer
So, my theory: The upside down is actually Vecna's mind. When eleven killed him, his dying thoughts were of the dark things in his life. The energy from eleven killing him opened a window into his soul (the gateway into the upside down). Everyone has a kind of upside down inside their mind, but because vecna's abilities are so powerful, he essentially invades the minds of his victims before he kills them, making them see their own upside down just before they die. He then absorbs their upside down and dark memories into his own. He is essentially also the mind flayer. Eleven may end up sacrificing herself to kill him, as she might be the exact opposite of him. The keeper of the positive opposite to the upside down - a good version of Vecna.. So all her life force would be needed to cancel his darkness out, and to destroy the upside down.
This makes a ton of sense. Wouldn't be surprised if it's true

I think Vecna can curse anyone who’s troubled enough to give him access. He does target those people who hate life and are waiting to die which is most people in modern times. So theoretically he could target almost anyone in the world but he wants to drag Hawkins into the upside down first.
I think it's just easier to target people in Hawkins, but I'm sure he could "travel" outside the town if he chose to. But there's no need, since there's plenty of people suffering trauma.

Yea, I don't want any mains to die. My heart was frozen when Max was running away from Vecna. I kept thinking, "OMG, it's slow-mo because she's not going to get away... No! She'll get away. No way they're killing Max... Oh no. Maybe they are going to kill her!" --repeated these thoughts over and over 8 times during that scene. Such a huge sigh of relief when she escaped.
I have a bad feeling Steve is going to die. He has had too many close calls. I'm not sure what Vecna intends to do with Nancy, but I thought that maybe Steve will go to the house where Vecna is to attack/distract him to free Nancy from his control. I feel like they are going to take one of the "main" cast out, but one of the younger kids. I think Eddie may be Steve's replacement on the show. If Steve dies that will be a gut punch.
I don’t think Steve is going to die. They definitely teased it at the end of episode 6 and the beginning of 7 but it wouldn’t make sense for him to die in the last two episodes since they already faked us out this season

I think the most obvious theory to me anyway is that Chernobyl takes place in April of 1986. It’s spring break 1986 in the show and they’re in Russia fighting demons. I would honestly be shocked if that isn’t apart of the story in some way.

Will should definitely have a bigger role in season 4 part 2 and 5 for sure. I mean, the entire upside down paused on the day he went missing there? Not some small coincidence. And if there's anyone who's had trauma and in danger of Vecna's curse, it's Will. But he's always been portrayed in the kid's D&D party as a Wizard. And Vecna is a dark wizard. So maybe he could square off against Vecna himself somehow. The kid is too good of an actor to not have a bigger/more badass role in all of this.
Maybe 11 will be able to defeat Vecna after seeing Hopper again, and having the memories of the group to support her power. These are powerful , and it's something Vecna has never had.
I think Mike will tell her he loves her and that will help her too.
I think the end of Volume 2 is going to be like an ESB end, when the group "loses" and for some reason they can't defeat Vecna (maybe Eleven hasn't reach her full potential) leaving him as the villain for the final season.

My theory is the will’s painting seemingly being about a crush on mike is a misdirect and he’s actually still very much controlled by the mind flayer.
We will see the painting of something horrible he’s drawing at the end of season 4 but he’s so far gone from the mind flayer he can’t fight back to show the other main characters.
With this will/mind flayer ends up being the ultimate bad of the series. Poor will.

My only problem with this theory is that Will has given no indication that he is not 100% himself. He seems too human to be under the influence of the mind flayer right now. They would have also given subtle hints to show that something is up. But with the very little screen time he has so far this season, it's just him (obviously) pining over Mike. If they mixed his pining with some awkward scenes of him with a deadpanned look on his face or something, I would believe your theory.
However if you are true, then I want to see the subtle hints that indicated this outcome. Because either they are so cleverly subtle, or there weren't any.

I can see a Twin Peaks Bob/Coop switcheroo with 11 as the song plays, but what youve said about Will makes sense too, that group were a little sidelined in vol 1 and so Will could well be a major focus of vol 2.

@@mysticalmaniac2 i noticed this with both finn and noah. finn has never been one of the stronger actors on the show but in the first 3 seasons he still did a solid job, and noah gave some really great performances in the first couple seasons before they essentially sidelined him into being a background character. but this season with both of them it felt like they were just reading off the script and the emotions and delivery were off, especially in their interactions with each other. which is strange because in the past some of their best performances came from their interactions with each other. it definitely didn’t help that they had barely any significant plot line or screen time compared to the rest of the main cast.

But Hopper wrote that letter to El and he is alive. Maybe the only significance of the letters was that they gave her a reason to read her letter to Billy and then of course we know happens next.
Oh, also when vecna is about to triumph over her, the memory of Lucas pleading with her to open up to him and to reconnect with him instead of giving him some letter is one of the many memories that helps her break free. Some significance there, perhaps.

I think will has a much bigger part to play in things than we’ve been led to believe the last couple of seasons. I’m not sure if he has similar abilities to 1 & 11 that are dormant and have gone unnoticed or if him being in the upside down for as long as he has changed him somehow, but something is up.

i’ll be really disappointed if will doesn’t end up having a bigger role to play in resolving the war against the upside down. his character was constantly framed in damsel-in-distress situations, lost and needing saving, weak, possessed, emotionally tortured. but all of his distress served more as a plot device than to actually add depth to his character. the past 2 seasons sidelined him into barely more than a background character. perhaps the writers have done so because they plan to give him an arc where he finds empowerment and agency, and they want to enhance the impact of that change.
but as of now, it seems like they’re just setting him up to suffer more with unrequited feelings for his best friend, again pinning him in a position to feel sad, helpless, and lonely. and given how will’s character has been painted as weak and passive, it would be really insulting and stereotypical to make his character gay just for the sake of it, without the payoff of a relationship or any additional development to his character. i’ll be so mad if they do that.
considering subtext from previous seasons, the constant instability and undermining of mike + el’s relationship, and some offhand comments made in interviews, it’s vaguely possible that his feelings might not be unrequited, but i think all that is probably just baiting. a program this big won’t have the balls to follow through with such a storyline if i had to guess.
whatever happens, i just hope they give will’s character SOMETHING to work with instead of basically discarding him or making him look pathetic.
The big reveal in vol 2 is that Will is gay and has a crush on his best friend Mike, which is why he made that painting for him. It won't have anything to do with the upside down or hidden abilities.

Pretty dope season but in the last part of this fabulous journey, it would be great to see the whole group re-unite, Mike and Will reuniting with Dustin and group and kicking Vecna’s ass
so i have 2 theories for eddie. First, based on the scene in the trailer where he is using his guitar, i agree with what you said that the things you love can save you from the power of vecna. And the 2nd one, is that in some way, eddie will sacrifice himself. Something like a distraction while steve and robin try to save nancy from vecna, or either the group are running away and eddie stayed behind playing his guitar as a distraction from the bats
Probably he will die ( i hope not) because in the Volume 2 trailer we can see Nancy, Steve and Robin with arms and they are preparing for something and Eddie was not with them, also they show that one of three was captured and Nancy was trying to help that person and i didn't see Eddie with them again.
This season isn't over but it was the best season by far. Incredible pacing and I liked all the various goings-ons

And on top of all that, the ominous score played in the background of Vecna’s origin sequence was not only a nod to his similar ‘godly ascended view’ to that of Dr. Manhattan’s(the same track being used in his origin sequence as well), but the piece is actually from a docu-series named “Koyaanisqatsi”, the Hopi language word for “Life Out of Order”. Now while I can’t say if Vecna’s acute senses of beings and to the concept of “being” is in anyway correct, I can say that “Koyaanisqatsi” is an absolute cinematic masterpiece unlike anything I’ve seen, and I mean that literally, every living breathing person should check it out, feel it’s magic.
Pretty sure that the music was from Glass's opera Akhnaten, but since that is the story of the Egyptian pharaoh who radically believed in only one god, not many gods like was common back then, your idea still applies :)

The Upside Down Hawkins is a great theory and explains why it looked like a vast empty space when 001 was first sent there by Eleven
I think the part where they say Vecna is the Mind Flayer's five star general is going to end up being a misdirect of sorts, and it will end up being revealed that the Mind Flayer was fabricated by Vecna to hunt Eleven (just ignore the entire premise of season two)
Nah I’m sorry, but the creators from day one have said the mindflayer is the big bad. And besides the mindflayer is a humongous entity of darkness, who can take on any form it likes. It’s based on an eldritch god. And you could even argue that Henry Creel is RELIANT on it, because every time he wants to use his powers to kill, he has to be plugged in by the tentacles of the upside down, almost like he’s being plugged in to the mind flayers powers.
The mindflayer chose to be a spider like creature in order to appear to Henry like a god.
We know the mindflayer is very aware and almost scared of how dangerous Brenner’s children can be to the upside downs creatures. It expressed in S3 that it wants 011 dead and so would only make sense that when Henry Creel got slung into its world, that it would take on the illusion of his god, to have him on his side.
You might be right, but I personally doubt it. To many things show the mindflayer being to much of an influence. Even when Billy is possessed in S3, the things he says, aren’t things that sound like Henry Creel they sound like the mindflayers otherworldly intentions
Hopper is going to get the flamethrower that was foreshadowed to Joyce in the church. He will then return to the prison to destroy the gorgon and black dust stuff we see in the trailer for volume 2. The smuggler didn’t mention his flamethrower for nothing
Think El will come and will come to fight Vecna. Hope we get El getting a moment with Hooper. Can't for Vol 2. If they nail the final two episodes this will be the best season.
I feel like, with all the relations with Night Mare on elm street, and it even being referenced. Its going to be the same way they beat Vecna. My prediction is, some how they save Nancy, but she’s already grabbed a weapon, brings it out and realises they can bring things out of Vecna’s illsuons. So max will do a Bait and switch.
And ya know, Nancy being named after Nancy Tompson, the final girl of Night mare on Elm street.
I like to think that the gang will confront Vecna in the upside down for a final time, but Vecna opens another portal to escape and the gang pursues him.
But when they get to the other side they are the in the Present day Hawkins of 2022/2023 where they not only have to stop Vecna, but navigate a future world not their own.
There's so many questions and no answer. How did El escape the upside down in S1? How did Hopper know that El was alive? Why was Will not killed like Barb? Why was he an easy target for the mind flayer in S2? How could he still feel its presence in S3 and how's he not feeling anything in S4? Why did Vecna take so many years to attack when he could open gates easily?
In the second season of stranger things el escaped the upside down by the opened gate that the demegorgon left opened after he killed the guards in school, hopper found out the el was alive by obviously since he already had a house there somehow in the same place she was hiding so i think he saw her, and will he didn’t got killed because he knew hawkins every street, every house sohe basically escaped specially that when he got drugged in the upside down he was in his home so he knew how to escape but for barb’s bad luck she was in steve’s house pool she was trying to escape if u could remember when she climbing that pool stairs but the demegorgon druged her down and killed her so she didn’t have time to run like wil did, and will was an easy target for him because he was just a kid who got a trauma and he’s the only one who survived the upside down and he was struggling, in season 3 he felt the mind flayer because as u can remember in season 2 the mind flayer entered will’s mind and body so they are technically connected now, that’s how he felt the mind flayer, in season four it wasn’t the find flayer that entered hawkins this time , it was VECNA, and for the last question because as vecna said in the teaser on season four part he told eleven that she did free him and the showed as the scene from season one when eleven was in hawkin lab in the mind space and she touches the monster and then the first gate opened up so vecna couldn’t open any gate because he was stuck in the upside down until eleven Opened up the first gate so he sent the demegorgons and then the mind flayer as u can see the mind flayer has the spider shape so basically vecna is the big head of the upsaide down
last question has literally been on my mind nonstop. my best guess is cause el lost her powers and moved so he thought it would be easier to win? maybe because the mind flayer was defeated? i have no idea

i thought this was interesting. the show tends to divide into two or three groups that eventually come together with their findings at the end and win each season. this season you got the hawkins group, the California/lowkey US travelers/Eleven group, and the russia/alaska group. the hawkins group consists of lucas, dustin, max, steve, robin, nancy, Eddie, and erica. the California group consists of mike, will, Jonathan, and argyle. eleven is more in her own group at the moment, but as of now, i categorize her in the cali group because they are the only ones who were with her and know she is getting her powers back. the russia group consists of hopper, joyce, Murray, and antonov/enzo. i could be wrong, but i feel like one person from each group could die. hawkins: steve, Eddie, or erica. steve because of the bat bites which were emphasized or the fact he breated in something toxic which was also emphasized. eddie might die saving nancy. erica because in the trailer, she held a blue lamp/lantern and when lucas was on the ground screaming and looking up, the blue lamp was there. also the fact they emphasized lucas was looking up signals erica could have been in a trance because if it were someone else, they wouldn't have put the emphasis on lucas being so scared and upset (he would have been regardless, but the fact he was with erica, idk) the cali group: mike and will wouldn't die, no matter what, not this season. argyle isn't impactful enough to kill off. 11 obviously can't die because there will be a season 5 and there isn't a point of the show if el dies now. jonathan would be my best guest since nancy is so drawn to steve now and he is a point of interest, Jonathan would be impactful enough of a death but not major enough to discontinue the show. the russia group: hopper can't die, we already dealt with that heartbreak once. joyce can't die, she is too important and the show wouldn't be able to go on without her. enzo could die, it'd be bittersweet cause he was so close to escaping, but he needs to see his son so i think he'll live. i think if anyone from this group dies, it'd be Murray. he's a main character but isn't blood connected with anyone else. it'd be impactful, but the show could go on. i picture it like this. they're so close to escaping with hopper and as Murray is smiling, similar to how alexei (my love) died, he stops smiling and looks down to see he got shot by a russian. it would perfectly ruin the happy moment of joyce and hopper. these are all just complete and utter theories btw. i think another potential death could be mrs. wheeler. someone else said this. her connection with billy, being nancy's mom, she could die saving her babygirl, who know. just a theory. maybe no one dies at all lmfao. i think my theories are plausible but maybe only one person dies or maybe one from each group like i said. guess we'll just have to wait for july 1.

I really hope they resolve that lost sister plot from season 2. I'm disappointed they just abandoned that.

@Billy Kovack 001 did mention "remember when 8 was still with us" when getting her to remember the memory of her mom, so he kinda implied she somehow escaped before then. It might have been easier for her, she could just make the guards see an empty room and walk out. Hell maybe that's why they moved to such a secure facility to begin with
@@bloodyneptune maybe but def weird how she had powers completely diff to everyone else who seemed to have similar powers to El. Seems like writers were going in one direction then decided to change.
When you think about it, Eleven has destroyed EVERY enemy she's faced. She even beat Vecna when he was 001. All she suffered in season 3 was a bite that took her powers away which she obviously will get back. If she doesn't somehow lose mortally or at least someone in the hellfire club dying, Stranger things will have had no real danger for the main cast. And excluding Billy, no one really cares about any of the other deaths throughout the seasons. Eleven should go the way of Ironman. Sacrifice herself to save the world.
Henry Creel is motivated by his belief in the futility and pointlessness of human life. Max thinking about her happy memories helps her break free by giving the will to keep living, but I wonder if those positive memories, which flooded into Creel’s mind when they were psychically linked, could have had another way of weakening him.
Maybe they will bring Victor in to help save him!
