- We know Stranger Things 4 is full of brilliant writing, performing, and special effects, but did you know that there are a good amount of scenes that the actors improvised on the spot? We’re sure you’re aware of all the iconic moments from seasons 1-3, like Millie Bobby Brown stealing more Eggos than she was told to, or the awkward breakfast scene between Nancy, Jonathan, and Murray, but there are plenty of hilarious and incredible moments to talk about in this season. For example, did you know that two characters were given more freedom to improvise than others, strictly due to how amazing their on-screen chemistry was? Or that The Duffer Brothers gave a few characters the option to add in a few lines of their own during some particularly heart wrenching moments? We also get to talk about all the brilliant lines that Joseph Quinn added in on his accord - we love Eddie Munsen over here. Not only was Sadie Sink’s reaction to Jamie Campbell Bower totally genuine in her big Mind Lair scene, but her co-star, Caleb McLaughlin has a few genuine reactions of his own when it comes to his character Lucas, and how he feels about Max. We also can’t forget about Finn Wolfhard’s charming awkwardness and sincerity when it comes to conveying Mike’s heartfelt monologues. We had no idea these moments could be made even more emotional. When Lucas screamed “ERICA HELP” and when Eddie told dustin he loved him and Dustin said it back I started BAWLING and when mike was telling 11 how much he loved her, that was so heartwarming def one of my fav scenes

I was already balling when Eddie said "I love you, man." But I completely lost it when Lucas hit us with "Erica. . .help!" There's no coming back from that. Especially because they always say the meanest things to each other. But Lucas was so desperate, he needed his little sister. Wooh. . .I'm tearing up again. Caleb was pure perfection in that scene.

Yes! Caleb has strong instincts as an actor, bc it really set the tone and shift in their relationship. I’m sure they’ll have their moments of annoyance and might just keep up appearances for their parents but their bond is on a new level. And I really hope the Duffers remember to take that into consideration with the final season’s script.

The work Caleb did on that whole attic scene was OUTSTANDING! That improvised call for help might just be one of the absolute best moments of acting in the whole darn show.

Eddie is just that guy. That guy who at 1st you think you're going to hate. But after some time with him he becomes one of your closest friends who would do anything for anyone. I think he was the heart of the season.

Eddie was definitely my favorite character of this season. In fact, there's an artist in my town who owns a shop and she made what my brother calls her "Eddie Shrine". My brother bought me two stickers from there, one is the Hellfire logo and the other says "Dont talk to me, I'm still mourning the death of Eddie Munson"

Joseph Quinn improvising "I love you man" was gold, Gaten catching up on it and saying "I love you too" in an half voice that says "were we supposed to say that?" but totally gets the tone and feel of the moment and turn that gold into diamond-coated platinum
Joseph Quinn and Jamie Campbell Bower made every actor they had scenes with shine so I'm secretly on the team that want Vecna to bring Eddie back as Kas the bloody handed just to see those 2 wonderfull actor bounce off of each other.
Other than that all the actors did a great job, improv or not.
Lucas' screaming and crying with Max in his arms absolutely _SOLD_ that scene. Great acting, and the desperate "ERICA HELP" is a gut-punch. Ouch.
It’s crazy that “Eric help” was not just improvised but it was also one of the most iconic and heart breaking lines in the entire series. Bravo Caleb
The stranger things cast are just so talented I would have never guessed those scenes were improv some of my favourite stranger things scenes are improv

A lot of these scenes wouldn’t have been the same without the improv. Thank you Duffer brothers for allowing some creativity from your cast.
Not so much improv but I really believed Eddie loved Dustin when they play fought in the field. Gaten seems to inspire a LOT of affection from anyone who acts with him. That was so sweet.
Gaten seems like such a sweetheart, it legit seems like everybody is always melting for him. They all laugh and can fun with each other, they all banter together and such, but Gaten truly seems to have extra sweetness on top of it.
I usually am unimpressed with child actors but the reason ST was so good, was because of the kids in all honesty. The show revolves mostly around them and the kids being such great actors is what made the show.
Couldn’t agree here more. More often than not, I’m not a huge fan of child actors, but the ST cast? Holy shit. The acting is NEXT LEVEL from every single person on that cast. Not just the adults, the kids too. You can see how much they’ve put into it, I’ve never been so obsessed with a series in my entire life😂

As a major D&D player and Dungeon Master, I can say that Vecna has made an impact to me in some ways. And I believe that Eddie will return as Kas, Vecna's Vampire lieutenant who ultimately backstabbed him. This might make for an ultimate plot twist in the final season of Stranger Things
No, no. It makes more sense that Eleven is Kas.
@@cosmic7bunny I like your theory, but I respectfully disagree. Eleven is still alive. Eddie is dead, and could potentially be undead and/or immortal. There is evidence leading to the fact that Eddie could be Kas. For example, Eddie's bat tattoos, he was killed by the Demobats, and Vampires become bats

Lucas yelling Erica help was one of the best lines I’ve ever seen played out with so much emotion
1. Hopper and Joyce’s kiss, intensely emotional and so needed.
2. Eddie’s “I love you man”, and Dustin’s response, it was so genuine. Hope they find a way to bring Eddie back from the beyond in some way.
Caleb's acting was phenomenal in that scene in particular I bawled like a baby. All really great young actors.
The actor who plays Lucas: his scene mourning Max was fckn incredible. Absolutely blew me away. If I can forget, even for a second, that I’m watching a tv show: wow. Bravo, for real

With Eddie's and Dustin i was already 95% gone then "Erica..help!" happened with Lucas and that was it. I was just bawling the entire time.
When Eddie was embracing Dustin and telling him Don’t ever change…that was when I fell in love with Eddie’s character and that moment was just amazing. Good job on Joe’s part for improvising it.

Eddie got 'killed' by bats, right? The Kas theory says that like Kas in D&D, Eddie will turn into a vampire and become Vecna's right hand man and eventually turn on him and kill him. In D&D, vampires are created when another vampire 'drains the life out of a living creature'. There are many different types of vapires in D&D, including Swarmform Vampires, which have the ability to assume the form of a swarm of creatures, so I'm thinking that the swarm of bats that attacked Eddie were actually a Swarmform Vampire, and that would lead onto the Kas theory. It would also explain how the Kas theory applies to Eddie and not to Steve; Steve also got bitten by bats, but there were only a few, unlike the swarm that attacked Eddie. Idk, I think the Duffer brothers based Eddie's character on Kas, so it would make sense.

Guys theres a theory about Eddie turning into a vamp. In d&d theres a character named Kas who died from bats as well, then he turned into a vampire. Later he turned against vecna, so the theory is that Eddie will also turn into a vampire then turn against Vecna to help his friends. The theory doesn't stop here. In the vision Vecna showed Nancy of how the world would be when the 4 gates grew, Nancy said she saw a giant monster which is most likely a 3 headed hydra also from d&d. This hydra is also the one Will painted them fighting.

I hope Eddie will come back in season 5 but I doubt it. On the other hand maybe it's good that there's this one special season where we see Eddie both as a crazy but lovely freak and also his more sensitive side.
If he comes back I hope he comes back as Kas the Bloody-Handed who in dnd lore is Vecnas lieutenant. Kas eventually betrays Vecna and leaves him without his left hand and eye (its talked about in ep one). Another way that can back up the theory is when Eddie got attacked by the demo-bats, Kas eventually turned into a vampire by spending to long close to a negative energy plane. But hey its a theory that I can see be in stranger things 5

What if Vecna uses him again, and Will ends up betraying and killing him. Everyone expects 11 to be the one to take him down, but it would be such a great twist if was Will!

When I was watching the scene where Lucas was crying with Max’s body in his arms, my first thought was that they needed help and Lucas thought his sister was still outside. That’s when he yelled “Erica help!” It was the perfect line for the moment.
I love how when they improvise it feel like the actual script and things they’re character would do in the moment and im happy the duffer brothers are cool with changing the script a little for those moments

I can’t think of Eddie’s improv, without thinking of the genius portrayal by Joseph Quinn…after doing good service in several ‘buttoned-up’ rôles, ‘Eddie’ gave him the part of a lifetime, a ‘breakout’ - literally! It might be a challenge to follow Eddie - a lot depends on the material: but Eddie Munson remains unforgettable…so loved by so many, & so much missed!

I think part of what works so well for this show is how much all the cast respect and care for each other ❤
I think that eddie will come back both times having to do with vecna. first is vecna made it look like eddie died in dustins mind when he really passed out and 2nd is vecna possesses Dustin because dustin feels guilty about not going back sooner. making the illusion that eddie is extremely mad at him

yes, I personally think that Eddie is still alive. There was an d&d character that posed just like Eddie and he had the shield and sword, I think he must escape the upside down. I think he will escape but he might return as an Vampire. I also think Will might die in season in season 5

I don't know if Eddie is alive, but I'm pretty sure that Will will die in the series finale. Will's supposed death in S1 was only postponed. I think he will make a big sacrifice to save Mike and/or kill Vecna. But before that, the Duffers will give him an emotional and heartbreaking scene where he confesses his love for Mike. Also, Steve probably will die protecting Nancy. For sure, the ending of the series will be bittersweet.
What I don't love is that if they kill Will, it follows the "Bury Your Gays," trope, and I don't think it'd be a good look for them. He's been tormented the entire series. Now he's just going to go off and die, without knowing real contentment or happiness since he was a little kid? I get tragedy, but really!

Everything from script actors makeup CGI music was awesome in Stranger Things. I'm definately a fan. Eddie's most metal concert ever was lit as🔥. Also when Eddie braced to whether the flying monster barage was epic. Every actor was on point.👍

Dnd isn't even a main inspiration for the show it's a literal plot device so the viewer has a name to the enemy and a basis for what going on if anything the show is more of a modern version of the losers club from it

I think creators should always be open to changes, especially from those who embody a character, as they often have to get into the character's psychology to pull off the role. The creative collaboration only makes the scenes better in many cases and adds that much more flare and emotion to a scene. I wish all creators were more open to changes. That Max Line is a great example. Like if you were in his place you would be calling out their name. all these scenes are great
