This song is basically the Emo Anthem, and just about all of us who were in high school in the mid- to late-2000s loved this song with a passion at one point or another. And we still do.

this song is on my chemical romance's third album "the black parade" (2006). the whole album is a rock opera, it tells the story of the patient and how he reflects on his life after he dies. mcr challenged contemporary mainstream music at the time and were extremely unique, from the nuance in their lyrics to the loud guitar solos. i'm happy that you both enjoyed listening to this iconic song! :) a user called "ro H" commented earlier, and as a fellow canadian i wanted to comment and recommend the song "new orleans is sinking" (1989) by the tragically hip. gord downie, singer-songwriter in 'the hip', passed in 2017 from cancer. gord downie was larger than life and had a lot of love for canada. i think it would be fantastic if the tragically hip's music continued to reach across the world and bring people together to celebrate life, and enjoy good music

Something I always found interesting about MCR: "The band was formed by frontman Gerard Way and drummer Matt Pelissier in Newark, New Jersey, soon after the September 11 attacks. lol the fallout boys
Uh... You mean Fall Out Boy?
I still remember the first time I heard this song, via the Jake and Amir show on youtube. Had no idea what it was and had to google the lyrics to find out who the band was. Never looked back. There is no bad My Chemical Romance song. I've been waiting for this reaction and you did not disappoint.
So glad you listened to this, the whole album is a work of art. Keep being amazing and making me happy!!!! X
Thank you for doing My Chemical Romance
I will say again "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised " Gil Scot Heron. Trust me.
It might be a little too political for them.
Thanks for suggesting that - I’d never heard it before just now
@Pam Watson. I reQuested this too!
The #Revolution Will Not Be Televised,' by Gil Scott-Heron
The revolution will not be televised
Will not be televised
Will not be televised
Will not be televised
The revolution will be no re-run, brothers
The revolution will be live
[Because black people will be in the street looking for a brighter day]
The revolution will not be televised

"Fix You"
- Coldplay
Nicholas Semenas when you’re a parent, this song means SOOOOO much more ❤️
Or “The Scientist” lol pretty much anything Coldplay
I would also recommend Javier Colon's cover of that song. He is incredible.
Yellow, Violet Hill, Clocks
You want them to cry?
Please get to “Tonight ,Tonight” by Smashing Pumpkins...your drummer soul will be so happy!!!
Love the videos! Would love to see your reaction to The Cranberries-Zombie and/or Linger.
YES!
I’m 30 now 😔 I’ve been listening to them since middle school back in 2006, but I think of my middle school years and memories when I listen to music like this and the bands i listened to. i miss all of it.
OMG guys, you have to check out anything by Sublime ... but I recommend, "what I got" - also this is more for Tim, since now I know you're a drummer: you might wanna check out Avenged Sevenfold's "the beast and the harlot" and/or "almost easy" just for the amazing drums alone... for a CRAZY guitar solo, listen to "afterlife"
Also the band Tool has an amazing drummer- listen to "ticks and leeches" for drums or "stinkfist" for a good song... honestly, I could recommend songs all day
A7x seize the day is another goodie
@@nataliethornton2982 they were so good with the Rev on drums 🤯

All
Breaking Benjamin can do no wrong in my mind. Starting off with Diary of Jane. But also Angels Fall, Ashes of Eden, and I Will Not Bow.
This is a banger! I still bump their first 3 albums till this day!
MCR are so good - was waiting for you to react to this one
Those first few notes get me every time. Goosebumps.
My favorites My Chemical Romance song.!
Told ya bro. This album has history from writing at the Paramore to Mikey almost quitting. The drums are incredible, the guitar wails, & Gerard's lyrics are insane. MCR passionate, real, and alive.
Great watching you react, a few suggestions
