The range of emotions on your face was GOLD! Hahaha. Other MCR songs - the whole of The Black Parade album (the album this song was from) was a concept album about the journey through death of a terminally ill patient - and EVERY SONG, start to end, is a no-skip. You should honestly react to the whole album in one big video if you find the time! - I used to not listen to this sub-genre of rock and MCR, but after The Black Parade it all changed! It's top 3 albums of all time for me now.
They say that when you're at the brink of death, you envision the best times you've had in life. He's close to his demise, and the parade is his most fond memory of his life.
Had to watch this reaction, to mourn. Former drummer Bob Bryar was found dead in his home in Tennessee at the age of 44. R.I.P. This song now takes on new meaning. Bob, Your memory will carry on.
This song revealed my brokenness to myself from childhood bullying. And it relates to my pain. Many of us were 'Emo-Freaks' and 'Satanists' purely due to our musical tastes. MCR rules. Forget the haters.
Thank you so much for doing a reaction to song. Loved this video. On another note, Gerard Way (lead singer) wrote the Umbrella Academy which is a huge hit on Netflix and a great comic book series. As stated by another in this thread, a reaction to this entire concept album would be awesome.
MCR had some of the most amazing guitar and drum work of any band I can think of. Gerard Way's vocals are on another level as well. Fun fact: The Umbrella Academy was based on Gerard's comic book series.
Technically they're sort of pop-punk/emo/alternative rock, but it's totally cool to just call it rock music. "Rock" is an umbrella term so you wouldn't be wrong.
Without a doubt this is the most representative song of the band, which is a roller coaster of sounds and emotions that has 3 acts or parts that talks about the transition from life to death at the moment when we are about to die and became into a cult anthem for the emo community.
This song is so masterpiece its hard to even explain.

It was fun to watch the transition of emotions on your face. This is an instant like and subscription for me. Have fun in your journey!
Just got back from seeing them headline a festival and this song is absolutely incredible to see performed live

You gotta do their song and video for “Helena” now!
YES!!!

Best band ever. Basically a modern queen
Panic! At The Disco: I Write Sins Not Tragedies [OFFICIAL VIDEO]. This is another great song/music video from the same time period.
This just triggered my emo phase haha, thanks!

30 seconds to mars “the Kill” may freak you out more

The song is about The lead singer’s grandmother who raised him. She passed away this was his tribute to her.
That’s Helena.
Rip Bob Bryar. He killed it on this record.

More of the Great one plz💜
fun fact, the lead singer Gerard Way is a cousin of Joe Rogan the podcaster and UFC commentator.
When the G note drop...
Mcr is a punk rock band, but punk rock is still rock so they’re a rock band too
react to 'the ghost of you' by my chemical romance
Twenty one pilots “Stressed Out”
It may be just me, but I see this as a srt of lyrical continuation of Metallica's One, where did Johny go after One?
MCR is punk rock in my opinion.
