This song reminds me of my university days. I lived in a little dorm room with a little CD player and this album was on all the time in my room. I am so happy that another generation of young people are being exposed to this awesome song. Love you guys!!
You need to do 'Losing My Religion' by REM. It is a classic by one of the bands coming out of the Athens, GA music scene during the late 80s and into the 90s. Not cookie cutter. Original. One of the best bands of all time.
According to Thom Yorke, “Creep” tells the tale of an inebriated man who tries to get the attention of a woman to whom he is attracted by following her around. In the end, he lacks the self-confidence to face her and feels he subconsciously is her. When asked about “Creep” in 1993, Yorke said: I have a real problem being a man in the ‘90s… Any man with any sensitivity or conscience toward the opposite sex would have a problem. To actually assert yourself in a masculine way without looking like you’re in a hard-rock band is a very difficult thing to do… It comes back to the music we write, which is not effeminate, but it’s not brutal in its arrogance. It is one of the things I’m always trying: To assert a sexual persona and on the other hand trying desperately to negate it. Jonny Greenwood said the song was in fact a happy song about “recognizing what you are”. Despite, or perhaps because of, the popularity of the song, Radiohead grew to hate “Creep” and have rarely played it live since the OK Computer tour. “My Iron Lung”, written in 1994 and later released on The Bends, is about the song.
Thanks for the backstory, Loretta! That’s pretty wild; it’s like the mere fact of “Creep” getting so hugely popular wound up amplifying all those issues of self-doubt in manifesting an “appropriate” persona - which was what the song was about in the first place!
I will never grow tired of watching you guys react to tunes like this from bands like this. When you guys were hitting your hearts... that’s it. That’s what it’s all about. Got goosebumps watching you feeling it.

You guys are amazing , so opened minded when it come to music . Such great feedback . Love and hugs from Ireland 💚🇮🇪💚🇮🇪
Listen to “You oughta know” or “ironic” by Alanis Morissette
All the 90's women: Jewel, Sheryl Crow, Liz Phair, Tori Amos and bands like Hole and Garbage
Fiona Apple
Every time I get into my silverware drawer I hear her sing "10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife" cuz Soo many spoons 😂😂😂
Dana Andrews haha it might be my dark sense of humor but “all you need is a knife. It’s like meeting the man of my dreams, then meeting his beautiful wife.” What did she need the knife for???? Lmaoooo
You oughta know is one of my all time faves. The feelings and rage... So good
You nailed it, you guys caught it’s essence... from its excitement to pain. U guys are the BEST!
I love how Tim actually tears up at Thom York singing. I teared up watching him tear up lol. Time a lot of radiohead is that good!
Throw you for a loop with The Prodigy “Breathe”, “Fire Starter” or “Smack my Bitch Up”
Omg yassss!!
Yaaaassss!!! -x-
YES! Especially the video for "Smack my Bitch Up"!
F*CK YEAH
yes! lads, you'd love them all!
Hey fellas! BEASTIE BOYS FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT
You know that's a parody song, right?
@@RayfordRaySiegel But it's a classic and how I was introduced to the Beastie Boys as a 6 yr old kid. If I taught the story of their music, I'd first have my students start with this song and album.
Did not know that though.
Yesssss....Beastie Boys. Also Sabotage by BB will blow you away
I love everything you do but would really appreciate some Beastie Boys. No Sleep to Brooklyn is my favorite.
I keep saying "ok this is the last one..." I'm still here...
😅
Jesus Christ Loves you all so so much that HE died and suffered for you all on the Cross to save you all from sin, death and Hell, turn to HIM fully and Put your entire Faith in HIM and Believe in HIM and follow HIM and you shall be saved, turn from sin and do Good seek peace and pursue it and seek GOD and righteousness GODBLESS you all Amen!🙏❤️💯
@@JisK7what made you post that here?
@@michelebright6576 I post The Gospel so that all of you through Christ Jesus might know the truth and that through Christ you would all be saved❤️.
could you describe the anti Christ?
Every person who has a low self esteem relates to this song, such as myself. Never having the self worth or courage to even make eye contact let alone talk with someone they adore. So you just get stuck admiring them from afar.
Theres alot more to this song than that I hope because that message is so very shallow.
There was a time when you'd be told to pull yourself together.
And Beck...'Loser'
Yes 100% x
@@f104G some people are born with disabilities or issues they’ve been dealt from birth so not a good piece of advice
Everyone in the 90s blowing out those vocal cords singing.
I'm a 61yo Australian guy who has just listened to this group and song for the very first time on your channel and I love it. You two very cool dudes have really opened up my mind. Heartfelt thanks and cheers from down under!
That " ewwwwww" face gets me every time
I love watching y’all react to songs I love so much, it’s like hearing them for the first time all over again. Your connection to the music is apparent. ❤️❤️❤️
This song reminds me of my university days. I lived in a little dorm room with a little CD player and this album was on all the time in my room. I am so happy that another generation of young people are being exposed to this awesome song. Love you guys!!
I love the irony of this guy with an angelic truly "special" voice and mastery of melody could not see he isn't "a creep" at all. Tugs at my heart.
If only complex people could see their beauty is in their absolute uniqueness.
You need to do 'Losing My Religion' by REM. It is a classic by one of the bands coming out of the Athens, GA music scene during the late 80s and into the 90s. Not cookie cutter. Original. One of the best bands of all time.
I was thinking "Everybody Cries" so much emotional impact
They have waaaaaay better songs than Losing My Religion. Driver 8, Radio Free Europe to name a few
Agree! They definitely need to do "Losing My Religion"
Great song
EVERYBODY HURTS !! LOSING MY RELIGION!!!! GREAT SONGS !!!
82 years old and this song still gives me chills. Great choice guys.
According to Thom Yorke, “Creep” tells the tale of an inebriated man who tries to get the attention of a woman to whom he is attracted by following her around. In the end, he lacks the self-confidence to face her and feels he subconsciously is her.
When asked about “Creep” in 1993, Yorke said:
I have a real problem being a man in the ‘90s… Any man with any sensitivity or conscience toward the opposite sex would have a problem.
Loretta Rossini thank you for your explanation. It’s so enlightening!
Great backstory
Thanks for the backstory, Loretta! That’s pretty wild; it’s like the mere fact of “Creep” getting so hugely popular wound up amplifying all those issues of self-doubt in manifesting an “appropriate” persona - which was what the song was about in the first place!
Great group...their album ‘OK Computer’ is one of the greatest albums of all time.
I will never grow tired of watching you guys react to tunes like this from bands like this. When you guys were hitting your hearts... that’s it. That’s what it’s all about. Got goosebumps watching you feeling it.
Watch Chris Isaak wicked games. The official video please.
The official gets copyrighted. Everyone does a live version of that song instead. Shame, because that model is fire.
th-cam.com/video/mOjTweUPt3Q/w-d-xo.html The best version I have heard
Dope
@@Tijuanabill Her name is Helena Christiansen
That song is weak af.
I FREAKIN LOVE your guys' reaction to this song! 😀 It is defs one of Radiohead's best.
Ps, you really hit the interpretation of this song at the end with your message of understanding. Super proud! 😊
Ash J yes!
You legit just made me smile so much with the reaction to that first guitar crunch. Awesome.
I’ve listened to this song many, many times over the years. Your reaction to Thom’s yell, helped me for a second to remember what it felt like to hear this song for the first time. Thank you and keep on listening!
Omg I could listen to creep all day!!! That guitar. That voice. The drum.
There is just something about this recording--the band, the vocals, the lyrics... It encapsulates something deeply emotional that all of us have felt in our lives at some point. I must have heard it a hundred times, and I am always moved. And you guys are decades younger than me having the SAME response that I do.
Just throwing it out there. Pls try this song by Hua Chenyu. Masterpiece. Will give link of you want.
Radiohead “Fake Plastic Trees”!!! Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead) is in it!! One of my all time favorites from them.
great song !
I never noticed that before!!
Faerietygers He’s super young so you might not recognize him at first, but once you do....
Norman has been in a TON of music videos throughout his career. I think someone made a video showing all of them.
Talk show host is my fav. Really great.
That song makes me cry everytime !! I Love “ Exit Music for a Film” too
I love how the TH-cam community at large has come together to help take you on a quick spin through the musical journey that I (along with some of your audience) actually lived through. I am extremely impressed with how you guys listen to all these songs across so many genres with open minds. Your positive attitudes are inspirational. Here is my recommendation: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - Tha Crossroads.
Radiohead is an absolutely amazing band! And this is an amazing song I’m so happy that you appreciate the beauty in this song
You wouldn't regret diving fully into Radiohead. Seriously, albums Ok Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows are some of the best albums of all time. They'll help grow you even more musically. 🙏💕💯😊✌
Agree! Air Bag from
OK Computer or The Bends from The Bends.
My Iron Lung from The Bends, too.
I gotta add Let Down from OK Computer. This song saved my life.
Have y’all listened to anything by Oasis? Wonderwall is probably their most popular song.
No, cigarettes and Alcohol is the best Oasis song
Andrea Stevenson I didn’t say Wonderwall was the best I just said it’s the most popular (:
Anyway, here's Wonderwall *starts playing guitar*
Don't look back in anger
Andrea Stevenson the master plan or slide away is their best. If they had to have a best song.
So glad you both react almost exactly the way I first reacted to this song ... one of the most emotional songs ever written or performed.
No WOW today?
Anita Baker " Sweet Love" or
"Rapture"..
Creep has been a favorite, also..
Glad you guys enjoyed it!!
Charisse Modeste Anita Baker...Yes!

Tim loves this song and did it before. Worth going back to see his first time seeing it. This video is for him to show it to Fred for the first time. Tim already liked it and probably said WOW back then. :)

Solid choice! With the video, of course.
Definitely!
Yes!! And Baby did a bad bad thing!
This will forever be in my top 10.
Those noise cancelling headphones cancelled out the sounds of your family in the background (but only for you!).

Omg you guys are so adorable. I’m 54 and I remember when I heard this the first time I actually cried. I still get goosebumps EVERY TIME I hear it. Your absolute joy and visceral reaction while listening gave me such a warm feeling.
Listen to Chris Cornell singing “Nothing Compares to U”, written by Prince. RIP to both of these geniuses.

Yes that is one of my all time favorite songs.
Chris Cornell and Chris Stapleton booth blew my mind with that song.?.
"Can't Change Me" changed my life
Love these guys. The reaction when they heard the guitar coming in, loved it! 😊
You can tell when you guys truly love a song, it doesn’t get paused very much. This was my teenage anthem so it’s awesome watching you react for the first time just as I did years ago x
"I Am The Highway" by Audioslave - the late great Chris Cornell.
Chris was amazing!!!
Anything by Chris Cornell!! Absolutely! He was truly amazing and emotional!!

Any Chris Cornell and Linkin Park!

Beautiful People is an awesome song.
