You are welcome! I’ve always been an Audi person but this was the first new Porsche I’ve been in in recent years and I was pretty impressed! Even though it was a base it had lots of everyday power (dad fast as some call it lol) and handled amazingly (without a lot of the performance upgrades). I was most impressed with the quality/interior which is why I like Audi. Thanks again for your kind words
The rear bench slides too. The low speed damping over speed bumps or uneven surfaces is very wild especially for passengers with the standard suspension set up on 19 inch wheels. Certainly around London here in the UK. I don't own one but have been using one belonging to a family for mainly school runs since ordered and collected in May 2019 (this version). First view of the channel. Lots of stuff to work on presentation, editing, work and preparation wise, but every one starts somewhere. Best of luck.
Interesting! Didn’t know about the benches!! Thanks for the comments and support. It is a work in progress for sure. Each video is a bit better so hopefully soon they will be consistent and up to par! Having a great time learning:)
I found the cayenne's suspension especially for low speed to be quite firm, although very well-damped. It's smooth but definitely doesn't glide in a way a gle might
You are welcome! I bought a car with Brembo brakes and have a new appreciation for how important/nice it is to have nice brakes. You are right, every one concentrates on straight line speed but we stop half the time;) Thanks for commenting!
Excellent review. Wife and I are close to pulling the trigger on a 2019 Cayanne S (certified 2yr warranty). I still dream of one day getting a 911. Can’t quite afford one, but love my ‘15 M3 six speed. Thank You!
You are welcome. I enjoyed the vehicle and was greatful for the opportunity. I think we all dream of the 911;) Sounds like you have a great car as you wait.

I have to say, I’ve owned many different vehicles from many different manufacturers/regions and they are by far the best in my opinion!! Thanks for commenting 🙂
Thank you for a nice well thought out review, not slagging off the car because it’s got “an Audi engine” as Redline did. Getting a base 2018 with PASM and SC next week and think it will be a nice complement to my smaller Porsche cars.
Thanks for taking the time to say that and that makes sense! What smaller ones? I keep telling the Porsche manager that if my show takes off one day I would love a Cayman! I think I’m sold on Porsche being my favourite for quality and performance and everyday usability. Happy for you!
@@Neutralreviews ooohh… I’ve been in and out of 911’s the last 10 yrs and still have my old 964 C4, my Taycan I use for daily duties and next week taking delivery of the 2018 Cayenne V6 (with remaining new car warranty until dec -22, then 3yr PAW). I’d never own a newish kind of Porsche outside of warranty. That’s more expensive than a severe heroine addiction. On an air cooled you’d forgive it for requiring a bit of maintenance, but the cost of the electrics and systems that can go wrong in a +2012MY Porsche is just frightening. The 1998-08’s have their engines grenading on them regularly and even the new 991.2’s blow their oil returns and drench their turbos and catalysts in engine oil leaving you with a 15000£ bill outside of warranty. Get a PAW and you’re safe on water cooled cars. On the air cooled get a good reliable mechanic that you trust. I’ve got my first new car Porsche on order taking delivery in July. And that’s a Cayman to my BIG surprise.
@@Nord_Mann great to know! That’s my fear lol. I need to save a lot more than just the money to buy the car;) Really interesting story/cars!!!! Thanks for that
Good question! According to my research for this I saw Car & Driver had measured 66 decibels at 70mph on the highway for the Cayenne and the Lexus they tested much higher under similar conditions (70 decibels). I haven’t started networking with Lexus yet but hope to soon and look forward to testing things out:)
@@Neutralreviews it would be nice to see another measurement on both cars during 5 minute drive at 80(or 70 at least) Because I know NX350 has superb sound isolation so I’m not convinced yet.
Nice review, well done and this nice car i know its"base 3.0 v6" sincerely doesn't look like a base at all !! Bro following your test what do think about the suspension ? This model you tested comes with regular spring steel suspension, do you think its good enough to bypass the Pasm or air suspension ? Thank you so much 🤗
Great question! I think it matters from the perspective you are coming from…meaning, if you are like me and own a nice mid priced vehicle (thinking of my VW GTI Autobahn), then this base suspension is even better than that already amazingly compliant and controlled upgraded GTI suspension, so I think you’d be happy. However, if you are used to high-end vehicles and have driven some of theses advanced suspension technologies, I wouldn’t say you’d be disappointed, but you may be left wanting. I went in thinking I was going to not like this vehicle, but sincerely came away thinking if I could ever afford one I would buy it! Hope this was helpful and thank you for commenting!!
@@Neutralreviews thank you so much for the detailed reply, yes absolutely we're coming from the same boat ! I think it will be better with regular suspension specially on the long terms ownership, I prefer free mind against broken air Sus, even if for sure Porsche deliver a strong tech.. thanks again for your help and hope 🙏 we can afford one 🙂
@@kevinphillips150 The Cayenne shares a platform, body frame, doors and electronics with the Volkswagen Touareg and Audi Q7. Good question. I didn’t realize at first but now I can see the resemblance.
As a Long term MdX owner. I have a 2011 MDX with SHAWD, 3.7 /300HP /270 torque/ my mdx is superb in bad weather all to the torque vectoring and plenty of torque available at 4500rpm. I have 105k mikes and my vehicle has had oil changes, 3 sets of tires, break pads, and i did the tune up, belts + water pump service at 100k miles. As for the braking system, i could use more stopping power but the inside of my MdX can actually carry a family and luggage. Seats for all but more so front buckets have a lot of support and extremely comfortable. I am looking at buying another SUV but just based in my experience, i might look at at an MdX type S or an advanced model. I like the Cayenne but size is nowhere near to that of the MDX, yet is weights just as much as my MDX.

I agree. The camera should have just remained stationary in those wide shots. Zero reason to keep the presenter centered. Keep the vehicle centered
