Hey man, if I ever manage to break through the wormhole I'll talk story with ya. I have a hard rule about the phone: never when other people are around. It can be kinda weird when everybody else is focused on it and you're sitting there in a void. Its very much like drugs.
@@GreenGardenGuy1 Its escapism man. Even for someone such as myself where being in a good position is something I'm working towards, its still tough. For many its not even on their radar, so life is something they try to get away from. Its nice to stare at the trees or the river, or have a good conversation.

Sometimes I find myself doing what I call bored scrolling. I've already looked at everything. I'm not even enjoying what I'm doing. I'm just scrolling, almost mindlessly.
As a person who is immune to the smart phone, I see others doing this mindless scrolling. Remember when we used to sit and think, watch people or talk with friends?
@@GreenGardenGuy1 Yeah. We also used to enjoy a moment, but now we make sure to take a picture of video so others can believe we enjoyed the moment that we just missed while recording.
@@GreenGardenGuy1 When they turned off 3g, I was forced into the new ap phones (2007 ap phones were released - NO Thanks! Not interested! I have it but I don't carry it. I'm on Kauai and in the past 10 years, I have not brought my phone to the beach once - Not Once! I'm 45 mins from my favorite beach - no phone! I'm not addicted and I enjoy my privacy 🙂 Tracked and Traced? NOT ME! I Feel Sorry For ALL the Poor Sheep Who NEVER LOOK UP From Their Tracking Devices - LOL!
That's why I have a computer. The screen on a smart phone is too small to see, typing with to thumbs is nutty and if I sit at a table with one more person that starts texting I will put mustard on their phone!

@@Defundthemasons No one hides on this planet. Hermits are eventually smoked out. I tried that years ago. Grabbing the world by the horns and giving it a good kick in the ass from time to time works better. The Bull keeps charging but making contact with the toe of the boot is so satisfying. Hence the reason I am here on this channel.
I also do not enjoy cell phones very much. I use a flip phone for my service. If I need to use some kind of app I just get out my smartphone. I went a very long time without any mobile phone.
I would like to think I will die without ever having found a reason why I would want a phone. The truth is the financial institutions are already squeezing me.

There’s not much in life that isn’t a two sided sword. So as they say you have to take the good with the bad. But yes I agree, the cell phone adds to society’s already bad manners.
I am still waiting to find a use for it. The banks are slowly squeezing me. The want a cell number and I keep telling them to shove it. Eventually I will be forced into owning something I never wanted. I could give you 40 reasons why it's bad for us, dangerous and useless for me. I have a landline and a answering machine if you need me.
