*sigh* America misses out on so many good looking EVs. A bit of a lift and some slightly bigger tires and this would be exactly the kind of EV I'm looking for.
Hey Viking, Here in the USA I'd be interested in seeing an AUS list of Chinese EVs and prices for comparison to our new tariff-blocked auto market. If Australians can have a wide variety of EVs including sub-$20K cars, that's and incredible contrast and indictment of a failing foreign policy which only hurts American citizens. Thx for staying on top of things!
If they bring it to the UK I’m in as I think it would be a runaway success. I don’t usually like this kind of vehicle but my oh my it’s swept me off my feet!!
Would definitely sell in the UK. I would buy one tomorrow if I could. No need for bigger battery? I think there is … allow a modular battery upgrade for those of us towing with EVs (which can roughly halve range)
Prices in China are always jaw dropping low because of the price war. One needs to at least double those prices for a realistic estimate of what those would cost in Europe and probably triple for 100% tariff US.
Great concept! I would buy one for me in Spain (2x4) and my hunter stepfather in France would get another one (4x4). Thanks for your great videos Sam! 'Love the short format and daily updates (how do you manage to do that???)
It’s not available yet so there will be no information for customer service and reliability… But I assume if it could be shipped to you then it is probably crash tested…
Very nice looking, Car Indeed ! Wish they were selling this car in CANADA! For $16,000 USD, many middle class Canadians would able to witch to drive an EV in CANADA. 😍😉💖⚡️🔋🌞💯🌏✌️
You and I have very differing opinions about what looks cool Sam! Mind you, when considering a purchase of just about anything, looks are secondary imo. Practical considerations however are important - this one falls down a little on that side. Also, if you live in country australia you probably need more than 500ks range fairly often, you definitely need more than 300!.
No, this car has nothing to do with Xiaomi. It's just that Su Jun, an early partner of Xiaomi, participated in the design of this car. This is the content of the announcement from all parties.
My wife has a burst vertebral disk and cannot sit in a car with a tall console infringing on her hips. Can the upper part of the tween seat console be removed?
My friend, I love your videos and passion, but you should ALWAYS remind yourself and your audience that these are CHINESE prices...for the CHINESE Market.. As soon as this car arrives to Europe, US etc. its price will DOUBLE.. if not TRIPLE. You should always tell your audience that the prices you mention are for CHINA only. With lots of respect and affection.
Just a cotton picking minute mate.....that's 16K US dollars which converts roughly to about 32K Aus dollars......pretty average for an electric car you might not get a single spare part for as soon+ as it leaves the showroom........by the time it gets through the dealership and all the addon costs you can expect to payA$50,000 and that's a lot of dosh for something I wouldn't dare park in my garage or driveway in case it caught fire .......my iHome insurance handler states they won't pay out for a fire caused by an EV.
How many people died whilst mining the minerals to build that EV? We have gone made on saving the planet, but we are happy to overlook what shortcuts and Toxic processes were performed in another country to produce these vehicles. Not to mention the country of origine has the highest Carbon emissions on the planet. So are we really saving the planet? The average person automatically assumes that an EV is carbon neutral from the moment it rolls off the factory floor, when it is actually in a massive carbon deficit! Studies show that a Tesler is not carbon neutral until it has run Soley on green electricity for 180000 Miles not Kilometers by which time it has probably broken down due to poor after sales service support! Therefore maintaining your old vehicles and keeping them instead of keeping up with the Jone's is actually the best way to save the planet, until there is a better cleaner propulsion system!
The best solar company in Australia just installed my new solar system.
Check them out here: www.resinc.com.au/electricviking
We need more of these... affordable, functional, everyday EV's!
Bring them on China!!
*sigh* America misses out on so many good looking EVs. A bit of a lift and some slightly bigger tires and this would be exactly the kind of EV I'm looking for.
I would buy this in a heartbeat; however, I live in the US. The IMPOSSIBLE Dream!
Looks bloody great the iCar V23
Cool vehicle.
Good to see such small practical and affordable cars, rather than getting all excited about hyper superfast cars.
Totally agree that beats the living day lights out of Cyber Whale. The V23 looks 100 times better.
looks masculine and cute at the same time, how is that even possible lol
it's inspired by the old-school beijing-212, same design element
😍😍😍😍😍😍,cherry has really come a long way

The front reminds me of the old Toyota Landcruiser with the round head lights
Interior looks like Defender
I'd love one cheers mate
How?
You said you don't drive 🤔
I want this car..
If they bring it to the UK I’m in as I think it would be a runaway success. I don’t usually like this kind of vehicle but my oh my it’s swept me off my feet!!
This looks great, I think this is aimed at the Suzuki Jimny. The ICar V23 looks better though.
Put them in container USA. Omg adorable 😊
Oh yes, like the look of this car very much.
Super looking SUV

If we get it in the UK, (unlikely) will be over £25,000 no doubt.
Ok at £25k
If 25k,still a decent price, and unlike legacy Western manufacturers, the Chinese always throw in the tech, even on budget models.
Prices in China are always jaw dropping low because of the price war. One needs to at least double those prices for a realistic estimate of what those would cost in Europe and probably triple for 100% tariff US.
If Amazon sold it, it would be 4x the price.
This thing looks amazing
Great concept! I would buy one for me in Spain (2x4) and my hunter stepfather in France would get another one (4x4).

Love it. Crash test, reliability and customer service availability?
It’s not available yet so there will be no information for customer service and reliability… But I assume if it could be shipped to you then it is probably crash tested…
Add AWD option, and airless tires, FSD.
Dang this looks like my FJ 😂
I want one

Want one, now.
Damn! Why can't we get these cars in Canada?

1:11 clearly says "Chery iCar V23: An Off-Road EV Co-Developed with Xiaomi's Zhimi Subsidiary" So it has something to do with Xiaomi.
Charge Up your battery!!!! (Sam Evan)
Rev Up your engine!!! (Scotty Kilmer)
Sam, who is the distributor for Jaecoo? Our company is J.Q Motors Ltd. Its a marketing nobrainer.
My wife has a burst vertebral disk and cannot sit in a car with a tall console infringing on her hips. Can the upper part of the tween seat console be removed?
In the US we'll have to move to China to buy these.
What does the battery mean? Can it be replaced?

最终的价格取决于你们的政府征收的关税、当地的经销商需要的利润和物流成本,如果你们觉得价格过高,请团结起来向本国的政府和经销商施压。
Defender + G class + Land Cruiser
Electric Viking - the icar v23 is a mobile COFFIN & another CHYNA Deathtrap.

Afternoon mate
Get covered up and don't promote smoking!
We don't want disposable cars
It's still an ev
The future fee on CO2 emissions will be 300-400$ per ton.
Jai Hind. We Indians don't buy any EV trash.
You are so JEALOUS! LOL 🤣🤣😂😂. You should go work for Palki Sharma. Don't worry, India will be a superpower in 3024. Please be patient. Modi promised.
Looks terrible 😂
I like it. And the long wheelbase gives the doors more size. The longer wheel base is better for Australian conditions.
