I absolutely adore this movie. This is a movie for long time fans. The comics, theories and gameplays have been rooted since the first year this came out and it’s absolutely awesome. A passion project beats big budget and soulless movies that Disney could ever put out.
Taking into account that every fnaf game felt like Scott obviously NEVER expected to make a new one, and as such, the "lore" was made up and improvised with every new game, to finally have a version of fnaf that creates its own thing and explanation to shit without caring of wether that's what happens on the games or not, is good enough. A couple more of jumpscares would have been appreciated tho, although guess I'm glad they didn't just stick to the "paranormal=scary" thing and let the animatronics act chill and playful as the kids they are supposed to be. It's a barely decent movie, like BARELY to the point that anyone that calls it a bad movie is gonna give you a fair reason why, but It did what it had to do: please the fans, and that's alright, I didn't want anything else.

I love that everyone is freaking out over mattpat but no one is showing love to my boy CoryxKenshin. He was the taxi driver, and he is a really awesome streamer and youtuber who does a lot of scary games.
Because everyone knew Cory was in it, no one knew Matthew was in it till you saw the movie itself. Cory's cameo was a bit spoiled in nearly all of the trailers, mostly as the end gag. Tho the end credits scene of Cory was another surprise, a very funny one too.

FNAF always had kinda goofy vibes, i think the movie delivers a decently accurate emulation of the game series-- weird and silly even with all the dark creepy shit going on. it's not a cinematic masterpiece by any means but it's fun to watch and the practical effects with the animatronics are really cool to see EDIT: also matthew lillard these days looks disturbingly similar to my dad and that makes this movie an even weirder experience overall
i love that these guys also found the movie funny in the same way I did, like all the Balloon Boy jump scares were just hilarious to me cuz he's such a dickhead but so creepy and the way they designed him was perfect
I loved the part where Matthew Patrick appeared and said “Hi I’m matpat the fnaf guy; but that’s just a theory” then he game theoried all over the place

Just because we're on the subject, I actually think one of the Freddys did the bite of '87, just because Freddys have a history of biting/decapitating people, and nobody else has really done that.
@@JoyOfCreativeService (spoilers for fnaf lore ahead, but) actually, there was two bites, the bite of 83, which was an accident that occurred involving Fredbear. The bite of 87 was a separate thing that was done by Mangle.

There was this one kid in my theater who made pretty entertaining comments throughout the movie. His seat was basically right behind mine & my friends', so we heard a lot of what he said. Me and my freind made fun of the scene at 3:12 for the whole movie because we werent listening and all we heard was "drawing all day" and "mental illness"
Wild how everyone I knew saw it and was like “the twist at the end caught me off guard!” As if we didn’t know Matthew lillard was cast as William afton from the second word dropped that he was gonna be in the movie
I mean overall I enjoyed the movie as a FNAF fan, but it wasn’t really scary like all the super scary parts were in the trailer already, also I think because the movie was PG-13, it kinda hindered it, like this is from someone who hates scary movies, but I would’ve loved to have seen a bit more gore, I loved seeing Matt Pat and Coreyxkenshin but overall it was an alright movie
Ive read that the gore stuff will come out in the dvd cut, that is, all the things they cut to make it pg 13 and make it shorter. So apparently there is a full cut with all the adult stuff coming. It is still quite soon tho, so take this information with a pinch of salt
Seeing the reaction to the opening credits of this film would've been great. I like the story of how the animatronics came to be through that animation.
I like the movie. It's goofy, lore heavy, unnecessarily convoluted and just fun. Just like the fnaf games. I don't really know what people expected. This is exactly how I imagined a fnaf movie. I'm excited for Help Wanted 2. Help wanted was hands down the best fnaf game in my opinion. Also making a perfect fnaf movie will always be difficult because the games aren't perfect and most of the story in the games is hidden and hard to find. You can't really do that in a movie cause the viewee can't control the movie. The best part of fnaf to me has always been watching TH-camrs like MatPat freak out over lore and stuff. I've watch his playthroughs several times cause I love watching him freak out and explain stuff.
I’m really, really bad with horror movies but honestly I was able to watch this one without much issue. I had a friend warn me when a jumpscare was coming up and half the time it wasn’t even necessary because they didn’t register as jumpscares in my brain and I wasn’t startled. Barely scary but REALLY fun for someone who likes the franchise.
@@emerald9194you hate the feeling that makes a jumpscare good. But this movie is bad and what i have seen from the games i would rather pay them than watch this again
I love that Jack knew not a lot of the lore. It made his reaction the movie funnier in a way, like him calling Springtrap, or at the point in the movie just spring bonnie, golden freddy. I find people trying to guess or learn about any lore from FNAF so funny
Honestly this movie is everything I wanted from a fnaf movie. I feel like a lot of people forget that fnaf itself IS very corny and has humor as well. The animatronics possessed by children act like children, the guy that kills kids in a non binary yellow rabbit fur suit it’s dramatic as hell, and there’s sooo many fandom references within the movie like the Sparky suit (a fan made hoax) and the Ella suit (a doll from the Fazbear Frights books) and a LOT more. You can tell there was so much love put into it. Obviously there’s some pacing issues that hinder some of the writing but there’s no such thing as a perfect movie and going into anything with that expectation is gonna disappoint ya. Wanting a gore fest from this is kinda a ridiculous request when the gore in fnaf has ALWAYS been very minimal. I feel like a lot of people have forgotten that from the very beginning fnaf was FAMILY horror. Not kid horror, not adult horror, something with a darker story an older audience could enjoy with visuals that could spook but not traumatize children. So considering that..movie actually had more gore than I expected lmao. Obviously not a TON compared to other horror movies, but for fnaf yeah this was a lot of blood
Still can't believe they rated this movie R16 in my country when the worst thing that happened was a shadow of a body being cut in half. I give it a solid 7.

I just finished this movie not too long before the video was posted. Its funny to see your guys's reactions to it. All of the cameos were enjoyable. I do wish the spring lock scene would have been a bit more gory because of the nature of them. Like they act quick and dont exactly kill you instantly, but are still gorey. The movie was a bit more goofy than it should have been, but its still like 7-8/10. 😊
I went to a theater this afternoon by myself and was one of five people in attendance. I laughed the entire time and went “Oooo, wow!” at all the references and little details. I even gave my best “Go back to sleep! It was just a mouse!” when Abby decided to go off on her own, which got some chuckles. BUT AS ONE HIVEMIND, when Max got chomped, we perfect strangers all cried out, “WAS THAT THE BITE OF ‘87?!” What a blast!
Its so funny to me how jack said that nobody would be scared at the balloon boy jumpscare, becaude the only two jumpscares that i had in this whole movie were the two times that balloon boy appeared
I watched it in theaters, and when Max got bitten in half, i yelled out "Was that the bite of 23?" And half the theater started to laugh. Hell, someone gave me their candy afterwards for that joke. Wish i could thank them.

this movie was definitely made for LONG TIME FANS of the video games. It's sooo good and I hate that I have to hear some people who've never played a FNAF game complain about it, like ofc you didn't get it bestie, it wasn't for you. Great reaction boys, keep it up!
"It wasn't made for you" it's a major theater release open to anybody who watches it. It's a movie that can not stand on its own, it's a bad movie and a bad adaptation.
@@vikauruyour opinion
@@vikauru exactly films have to stand on their own, imagine if they made Harry Potter 5 as the first harry potter film and were just like "yh lmao you have to have read all the books to get it", but then also make the film hot trash with awful storytelling and just fill it with random easter eggs and nostalgia for the 12 year old fans that can point and scream and clap when something vaguely recognisable happens rather than tell any kind of good or coherent story. do all that then you will have the 2023 FNAF film LMAOOOO.
@comeandgetlt It’s alright
@@tjdw5251 As someone who barely knows anything about FNAF, I can tell you it‘s not like that. I enjoyed the movie very much even if I didn’t get every single easter egg or reference or something recognizable. While I do understand your point and I respect your opinion. I will respectfully disagree thank you.
14:17 I thought she slapped his ass when I first saw this 😬
I went to watch the movie with some friends, the universal logo appear and the whole set was screaming Hur Hur, Hur Hur Hur, i knew the movie wasnt going to be scary, i think its actually adorable how the robots look and act it was such a great movie
Also i thought their commentary was going to be annoying and... it was but not too much
9 years and this movie is great, yet extremely goofy and I love it
Personally i was kinda dissapointed. I guess at the core i was bummed this movie wasnt R, but i think the animatronics moved around way too much and the tone was way too lighthearted. Also we deserved a WAY better Springlock scene. Still think the animatronics looked amazing and it was cool to see them on the big screen
@@sleep6837the springlocks arent that gruesome.
@@sleep6837 I absolutely loved the movie, but I think they should've kept the same storyline as the games
@@minimaggiitI agree
@@sleep6837Yea springlock scene was weak af. Sounds not crunchy enough. But overall I like the tone here. Goes into the more human aspect of the children
Seeing both MatPat and CoryxKenshin in the FNAF movie for me was really cool
This movie is such a fucking fever dream
At least it’s a secret comedy😂
Thank you for understanding the point I that have been trying to make for the last couple of days
Honestly the only game that had a well structured story was Pizzeria Simulator and that's because Scott wanted to have a way to wrap up that story.
Sounds like you have low standards to me.

@@Constantine_Cvl8 bro I'm sorry but if you think thid movie was ahem "PEAK CINEMA" you really do have low standards ya'll are really letting FNAF die down & turn into this cutesy mascot game with a few jumpscares here & there for the kiddies, I'm a FNAF fan & I'm serverly disappointed Scott dumbed the horror down for the kidd instead of letting it actually be HORROR & GORE, this is just my opinion but they could've had the kids being stuffed into the animatronics at the very beginning to add to the "OMG who killed them?"
Watching them say the most innacurate things about the lore is so funny 😭
I loved this movie so much. My dad watched it and was actually interested to learn more about the series lmao

Something kinda similar happened with me, expect they all went and left me behind..... To be fair it was because of one person making a mistake, but damn. Hurts.
Aw I’m sorry they bailed :(
MAN THAT HAPPENED TO ME TOO
FNAF always had kinda goofy vibes, i think the movie delivers a decently accurate emulation of the game series-- weird and silly even with all the dark creepy shit going on. it's not a cinematic masterpiece by any means but it's fun to watch and the practical effects with the animatronics are really cool to see
EDIT: also matthew lillard these days looks disturbingly similar to my dad and that makes this movie an even weirder experience overall
10:20 no because everyone compares Jax to Bonnie it’s so funny 😭😭😭
Everyone clapped after the cameos, especially after MatPat said it’s just a theory.
i love that these guys also found the movie funny in the same way I did, like all the Balloon Boy jump scares were just hilarious to me cuz he's such a dickhead but so creepy and the way they designed him was perfect
Having jack as the victim and eden as the bully is an amazing change of pace
I loved the part where Matthew Patrick appeared and said
“Hi I’m matpat the fnaf guy; but that’s just a theory” then he game theoried all over the place
Saw this with friends and was hella fun
We sat through the whole credits cause of Living Tombstone
14:28 To be fair, that is a lot of children for one guy to handle

I went to go see a showing of this in the middle of the day, and- including me and my friend, 4 people.
And we live in Nebraska.
The moment we saw that poster, us 4 made more laughter than an entire crowd.
The whole movie theater at that one part:
"WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87?!?!?"
Me:
"ACTUALLY, MANGLE IS THE ONE WHO-"
Everyone: *yelling*
Just because we're on the subject, I actually think one of the Freddys did the bite of '87, just because Freddys have a history of biting/decapitating people, and nobody else has really done that.
@@JoyOfCreativeService (spoilers for fnaf lore ahead, but)
actually, there was two bites, the bite of 83, which was an accident that occurred involving Fredbear.
The bite of 87 was a separate thing that was done by Mangle.

i find it cool that Markiplier role in this movie would have been the first guard in the beginning of the movie!
“you are sounding like a 2013 fnaf theorist”
*Game came out in 2014*
Someone in the theater shouted ARREST ME OFFICER when Vanessa appeared and it was amazing. Everyone was laughing or doing running commentary and it actually enhanced the experience for me in theaters.
There was this one kid in my theater who made pretty entertaining comments throughout the movie. His seat was basically right behind mine & my friends', so we heard a lot of what he said. One thing that stood out to me was him going "Top ten anime betrayals" when Vanessa got stabbed by her father in the Springtrap suit. That kid's going to go places, mark my words 😂

I agree, but come on, admit the ballon boy got you at least once
Ive read that the gore stuff will come out in the dvd cut, that is, all the things they cut to make it pg 13 and make it shorter. So apparently there is a full cut with all the adult stuff coming. It is still quite soon tho, so take this information with a pinch of salt
@@TheMadSkull_official ok I will admit the balloon boy got me 😂😂😂
@@youtubewontletme ok that makes sense and I mean I also understand why they gave it a PG-13 rating so it can be more accessible but still 😂😂

Seeing the reaction to the opening credits of this film would've been great. I like the story of how the animatronics came to be through that animation.
crazy that carl the cupcake is tied for first place in terms of kills

I love that Jack knew not a lot of the lore. It made his reaction the movie funnier in a way, like him calling Springtrap, or at the point in the movie just spring bonnie, golden freddy. I find people trying to guess or learn about any lore from FNAF so funny
“Her dad is Freddy Fazbear?” Killed me because of how serious you all were about it XD
i saw this movie in the UK on premier day and it was so fun. my cinema burst out laughing so much 😂
jack getting all the lore wrong made me want to cry
