Hey Alix. I don’t think people are hating on Patek just cause. I think that since they are part of the holy trinity they are just suffering from the downside of being at the top of the food chain. With great power comes great responsibility, as cliche as that sounds it also carries some truth to it. To be fair I am sure the watch has amazing finish and an incredible movement, but the lack of creativity of the dial and the bracelet is apparent. Specially for the amount of money that it costs. Sure a 28 year old who has made his first million will buy it, but that doesn’t vindicate the company since we are all dumb knuckleheads at 28 and made a lot of mistakes. The opinions of the enthusiasts who may never be able to buy the darn thing are valid, after all it is us who worship and put this watches in a pedestal so that watch ignorant people with a paycheck can buy them and try to signal class and status. Just my thoughts.
Great points. I do believe they do not care a lot about the enthusiast market. There were people on the show commenting on their approval of it. Style is relative, and I am against absolutist judgement.

You can't go wrong with either, although I lean towards the Hanhart. I've got reviews on both in the archive, check them out!
