i don't see why people complain or get so upset over glitches they aren't ruining the game for you. If you don't like glitches then don't use them simply because something is in front of you doesn't mean you have to take it. If you find enjoyment from farming the game and playing through legit just as many people will find that tedious and annoying and it will be something that they don't enjoy. If a glitch makes the game more fun for some people why would should that be wrong. i understand how it would would be a problem for multiplayer if people use glitches that make them unbeatable but for solo play there isn't any problem and honestly people need to worry less about what other people do with their lives and just enjoy the one you have.

Patched. Here is a new way to get your souls. 1) Equip your favorite boss soul in your item slot. 2) Roll. Medium rolling works best in my experience. 3) Press the button to use the soul around the end of the roll and shortly after press start to bring up the menu so that the option text box to use the soul does not come up. 4) Select an item from your inventory such as the estus flask and hit use item. 5) The text box to use the boss soul will come up instead. 6) Hit yes and get all the souls from the boss without actually using up the soul.
You can still do it on xbox and PS3. Its just a little bit different. You need to find an enemy that you can lock on to without him noticing you(a good place is in undead burg, the archer just outside the bonfire works). These are the steps. 1. face the camera, at a distance that you can press RS and lock on to the enemy that doesn't notice you. 2. Use the dragon head. 3. Press up on the D-Pad to change to your soul/humanity. 4. lock on to the enemy. 5. use the soul(keep hold X/square)
tbf, there are alot worse exploits out there, this one really just allows people to level faster(which just means they would be fighting higher level pvp, other people like them and some highly skilled people who wanted a higher lvl character), and rank up in covenants/ kindle bonfires faster, which aren't too bad, sinceyou still need to actually be good at pvp in the first place for it to make a differance. if itgave unlimited stamina or increased your health it wouldn't be a fair thing to use in pvp, and i wouldn't have said it was ok, but all it does is reduce the time you spend on pve, so thosewho are already good and don't want to spend the time on it canskip straight to pvp, and those who are bad at the game will get crushed in pvp with experienced players since they'll miss out on learning how to play properly in pve
You can turn to human form at a bonfire. Beeing human boosts some resistances, item drop rates (the more the better) and you can invade/summon other players (online) to help you or fight them. If you die you lose human form and all humanity (but can collect it again where you last died, unless you die again). Ohh and if you are human you can kindle your bonfires for additional humanity to give you more estus flakons.
It still works if you delete your characters and the update including the title update that's like 16 mb, but then you have to get a decent soul, get to the everlasting dragon, do the glitch right and have a lot of patience.
You have to be on the xbox Dashboard first, then you press the Xbox guide button(big silver button in the middle of the controller), go all the way to the right and find system settings and press A, then go down to storage and press A, then you want to select your hard drive or w/e you saved your patches on but dont press A, instead you press Y and in the device options menu you can Clear System Cache which deletes all patches for all games.

Yes, you are changing the argument. Convenience is always more satisfying (there are so many examples to support this). I'm also sure the devs didn't mean for blight town to lag so much and yet it effects everyone's game, unlike this glitch. Gear doesn't make the player but its definitely part of it. Also why does it matter how someone else got titanite slab or a certain item? It doesn't effect you. What if that person who beat you was lvl 500 or 70? and glitched it to get there?
I've found other slow weapons :D like the dragon tooth....A.k.a rip you a new one XD But still I like using the black knights sword its attack fits everywhere..
Just for the record for all who go on this video, you can actually hold it infinitely if you have the grass crest shield equipped during this, or if you have cloranthy ring on.

I used to worry about using humanity until i reached the baby skeletons at the end of catacombs , its just so easy to get from them tht i always have 99 stashed away & at least 20 on my guy to boost item drops & defence stats . i farm baby skeletons for 30-40 mins and get over 300,000 souls & around 100-150 humanity , so just if im farming for souls i'll be getting loads of humanity . it would take something from the fun if i knew i could just do a glitch & get them without working for em
I'm on my first playthrough. I used the glitch right before I fought ornstein and smough. I'm way over leveled now and it's made the game easy. I'm contemplating just leaving my current account as it is and just starting over again so I can at least experienced the game as it was intended my first time through
before reading guids i beat the knight too, only on maybe lvl 10 or so thanks to a bow, a shitload of arrows and a knight with a bad KI. thought there will be stronger swords somewhere. but really, this sword is so amazing
It was fixed in a patch, but you should be able to do it if you delete the patches. Once you are done, you can redownload the patches whenever you want.

Experimentation comes with experience. More pvp you do, the better you are while doing it. Its that simple. If you do research and check the numbers, you can make a build thats perfect for you. Go to dark souls wiki and look at all the items, spells, etc. I have several builds that I have never used a single glitch to create. All of these characters have a wide variety of how they play. I watch people in game, and on youtube. Planning your build goes much farther than glitching

Well I only use it to make Lvl 120 builds of different characters to have fun. Also there is a way to do this glitch on 1.5 WITHOUT having to delete the patch. Post patch 1.5: 1. Go to new Londo ruins and put ur dragon head on. 2. Lock onto an enemy. 3. Unlock, and turn so your face is facing the screen. 4. Tap square to use ur dragon head, just as your guy is about to breathe fire, quickly lock on to the enemy again and tap down on the d-pad to your soul or humanity item, then QUICKLY press an

i'm so new, i've been farming the hellkite dragon spot for the last couple days while i was in the start of the game, i'm currently at anor londo and now i hear all these easy ways to get souls. whatever lol i'm just gonna go through a normal game and figure this stuff out later.
I have not done this either, but may at one point. I have over 500 hours into this game, so I think I've do it all. The reason would be to try out different builds easy and fast. Then decide what would work best for me.
This one doesn't work anymore. The new glitch require you to do the exact same thing, except instead of turning around with the analog stick, you target an enemy while facing away, so that turns your character around.
Theres other things you can do to advance your items other than repeatedly beating the game. Using the red eye orb is a great way to acquire humanity/souls, and also learn how to play. My strength build currently has 20 million souls, multiple maxed out items, and several high level weapons. Never once had to use a glitch to advance any of them
How can I delete the patch? I think it isn't possible, as the game warns that the save games are not in the same version, so it can't even starts. Any ideas??

you cant do this at all unless you start a new game and delete the patch. your save wont work if you delete the patch,, you have to start over from scratch

I do this glitch to test out certain builds. I was curious about the dex affecting casting time so I am glitching out my character to see if this is true.
It still works, but in order to do it u have to give up ur Saved data. And delete the game update. The dress is in the demon ruins u have to kill the other boss protecting his sisters belongings.
@verbic96 on ps3 you goto the game part of the xmb scroll up to "game data utility" and delete dark souls.. Make sure you go into "game data utility" and NOT "game save uitility"
The only other real way to farm souls.. Giants Tomb with baby skeletons for humanities and souls. OR my fav the area in darkroot woods where you get the spirits to follow you, and they fall off a edge easily getting you 10-15k souls 1 run which takes 5 mins or less. Depending on NG+ or higher means faster lving

Running through the Forest Hunters as a Soul farm method gets tedious. Will definitely have to try this.

You can only safely delete patches on xbox 360, not ps3 and the patch came with the PC edition so unless you have this on xbox its impossible to do

Just connect to the internet with your console, and it'll be in online mode. Disconnecting will put you in Offline mode.

the easiest way is just to play normaly
no need for gliches
but you can do it for something like a creative mode just for fun and test

Its not that simple because if you have any kinda saved game it'll force you to go online and download the patch
