The "material that looks like carbon fiber but isn't carbon fiber" is fiberglass. I actually appreciate Mizuno's transparency (heh) in showing the raw glass instead of trying to cover it with a faux-carbon laminate like many other brands might. Looks good with the silver color of the boot as well.

Right now, the best thin boots that aren't leather have knitted uppers. If you're into the Mercurial thing, I think the Vapor 13 Elite is the best of the best right now if you're after a barefoot feel.

Hey, i ordererd a pair of Mizuno Morelia Neo 2 beta, but I‘m not sure about the size. I like the boots to sit tight but I dont want to geht Problems with My toes again. 😅 I wear a US 8.5 in Vapor (used to wear 8.0 until Vapor 11) so I ordered 8.0 and 8.5 for the Mizunos. With the smaller ones there is no room between big toe (or specially my 3rd toe) and shoe. In the bigger ones i think 0,5cm. Its been a while since i wore leather shoes (predator pulse where the Last pair 😅 when i was a kid) so im not sure about the stretching specially lenghtwise. But do they Stretch in the toe area or not that much? Which size would you recommend me?
That's what I thought as well, but that's not the case. I weighed them several times with the same results and even threw on some other boots to verify that everything was working properly. There's always going to be minor variation from one pair to the next though. Stuff like a little more or a little less glue can impact the weight by 10 grams. Either way, the difference is very minor.
I think these are better than any leather F50 that has ever existed. They're similar in regards to the elements that both boots have, but very different in regards to overall fit, feel and definitely quality.

They've launched two new boots that both happen to be very, very good. If I think something is good, I say it. There's no bias with any brand, nor does an invite to any event sway my opinion on anything. I've had opportunities like this with pretty much every major football brand at this point, will likely have the same opportunities in the future, but that changes nothing about my opinion. I think the Rebula 3 and Neo 2 Beta are both excellent. In fact, I think they're two of the best boots currently available and both in the top 5 best releases of 2019 so far. That's my opinion. Also, for the record, the flights to Japan and back were hell.
Its a great boot no doubt about it but there really isn't much support on the boot, I don't know how to say this but... But you know when you shoot a ball and certain boots give you like a strong feel this one doesn't it's almost like you are barefoot which is actually good for most of the people but really not for everyone...

Josh you said you went to japan and didnt know how much lighter they were going to be, yet in the unisport vid you specifically mention 170g so do all the websites selling the thing. But now you saying it weighs 187g?!? Also it doesn't make sence after all the changes they made to these new boots they only managed to shave 3g, not saying the scale is lying but in that case saying 170g is false advertising.
Its still almost 20g diference, we would need to be talking kids size shoes to shave that much weight. Size 9.5 are not exactly flippers and are pretty standard size. Not to mention the morelia neo ones weight as much as these new ones and those didn't have all the weigh saving bells and whistles these new ones claim to have
My conclusion for a fantastic company like mizuno to make such a claim is that their final product the neo 3's will try to achieve this weight, which would be a very technically impressive feat if they can maintain the comfort, touch and durability.

Jawad Ahmed to me this sounds similar to the x18 or x19. I found some x18.1 on eBay for $40 and they are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn

If the smaller ones don't feel uncomfortably tight, I would go for those. The leather will definitely stretch at least a little bit.

Most likely they that weight comes from a smaller size. The bigger the boots are, the more they'll weigh.
