  • On this Episode we compare the value of the Dewalt Atomic DCD708 and DCF809 against their Makita Subcompact CX203SYB counterpart. These tests are designed to push these tools to their limits and one barely finishes. Which represents the best value? For this epic tool test only you can answer that question.

    I like that makita gave other brands the idea about subcompact tools on 18v. It's really amazing when in the past they made it.btw now they made a new gen of these tools maybe a bit reliable than first ones)

      My buddy, Philly Fixed, did a comparison video using the new vs old Makita Subcompact kits and the older one actually came out on top. It was a good watch.
      I like the Makita a lot. I just wish the hand area was a bit bigger.

      @@ToolswithSoAlz I saw that too, but once one uses the regular size tools and larger, the newer XGT blows the LXT out.

    Dewalt is better but runs hotter and battery dies faster.
    Makita still a good contender, runs cooler, not as fast or powerful. Got it, thank you!

      I think so as well. It held its own and was much more consistent. The overheating on the Atomic, while doing minimal tasks, was surprising. I was actually afraid it was going to go up in smoke in its first video.

    It looks like DeWalt has not solved the problem of the overheating on impact drivers as it is no secret that the 887 impact driver is one overheating hot Cookie Monster, thus the price is not worth it , they need to sharpen up on their shabby impact driver range cos it's showing all over the net as for me I'm a Milwaukee man I still like the yellow and black and I hope they solve the problem would those impact drivers

    • @ToolswithSoAlz
      @ToolswithSoAlz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would agree. Dewalt definitely has a problem with heat, making it uncomfortable for people to use their impact drivers. The most shocking thing to me though was how quickly the impact lost power doing simple tests. Dewalt has to figure out how to circumvent these issues if they're going to compete with the likes of Milwaukee, Flex and Makita.

    20 volt has more power but still gets hot. Makita is still 18 volts. I love the feel of both

    • @BkBk-gy6vr
      @BkBk-gy6vr ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is no difference between 18 and 20 volt power tool batteries. it's a gimmick to fool people like you into thinking you're getting more. The guts of an 18v Makita battery and the guts of a Dewalt 20v battery when tested Fully charged both will measure 20 volts for a few minutes and have the same Exact power. Hack an 18v battery to a 20v Dewalt tool and it will last just as long and power the same as your 20v which is really an 18v Dewalt battery.
