Toad has to translate for the Mario Bros. because they’re speaking Italian. He isn’t translating for Yoshi because he doesn’t understand Yoshi language. The Kongs and Dry Bones translate for themselves.
So that’s why, huh? Doesn’t really work if the game is in Italian, though.

The prior comment feels like it goes a bit too far. Jokes are fine but this guy actually sounds bummed out. They mean it in a real life way. It’s implied. Didn’t want to go nerdy but this feels like bullying. This guy posts a relatable comment that’s deep (for better or worse) and you mince them. For decades we've called him by an ethnic slur and he's never held it against us; by that rationale, he's as stable as they come.
One secret I found while playing this Today is if you complete challenge road as bowser, you'll get a unique ending cutscene where Bowser Jr. is the one to hype everyone up for the next party instead of bowser himself.

That's the final cutscene, it starts when you get all the gems, not when you complete challenge road (btw the Bowser Jr ending it's true)
that poor goomba. This is one of the few times he gets the chance to do something other than be stomped on, and then he gets rejected. I like his lines too, it must be frustrating being stuck forever as a common minion in a game. we need a spin off Mario game where a goomba is the main character
Why stop at a Goomba? Why not some of the other enemies? Also, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions lets you play as a Goomba, but it's an RPG, not a platformer. Nothing wrong with that tho.

I think that Goomba's are cool. I loved having Goombario and Goombella on my team in paper mario. I feel bad for not picking him yet because King Bowser's my favorite character. I should've tried him when I still played as a nostalgic thing.

It's amazing to me how universal the personalities of these characters has shined through over the past couple years. The RPGs had a big hand in shaping up not just Bowser, but all the villain characters. Wario and Waluigi have both been a constant bundle of charisma since their respective inceptions. (Mario Land 2 & Mario Tennis) and Camelot's had such a fun time building up everybody even more.
Honestly, the spin off games in the past twenty years have done a way better job of fleshing out their personalities than the mainline games ever have. In the main games, everyone is either a plot device or nonexistent...such a shame. It's a shame that Nintendo is putting a tighter reign on their IP ever since Mario Strikers. The Paper Mario series was probably hit the hardest. The first two games were near and dear to my heart, with the third being okay in story; but watered down in gameplay. It was downhill after that.

What’s funny but really wholesome is that when you reject Bowser as Bowser Jr, he’s just shocked but slightly sad and asks Junior if he doesn’t want to be seen with his old man.
Bowser should know his son loves him more than anything in the world.
Bowser Jr. seems like a tsundere when you reject him. That makes sense since he is lonely, has low self-esteem, and is influenced to try to act tough like his dad. He also wishes he could be a hero but doesn’t want to disappoint his villainous father either.

Poor Rosalina even with Wario(aka the fattest character in the mushroom Kingdom) and Bowser Jr. laughing at her that’s kinda fucked up. Luigi,Wario,Peach we’re also laughed at too.

i liked Peach's try to intimidate you with her minigame mastery skills sentence and even if you reject her she still tries to intimidate you with the ''i hope i didn't scare you off''. It was kind of ruthless

Personally, I didn’t like the treatment Mario and Luigi got when it came to dialogue. it could’ve been just fine if we got some from them directly like the rest of the game’s roster
My guess is that they didn't want to risk giving any personality hints to the most important character of the universe but yeah, I too feel that's a shame, since everyone else did really good in that sense.
I understand it with Mario, as he just never talks, but Luigi? Really? He's talked in the past before, I don't know why Nintendo didn't give him any voice lines

Another thing I discovered is the characters can have different lines after collecting all the gems, such as Waluigi wanting to see how far this party can go and Wario asking if they are begging him for his help to party with him.

Since Toad is speaking for Mario and Luigi, and they're presumably speaking Italian, it is safe to assume that Peach is Bilingual? Like, she does talk to Mario, right? There is actually more lines than this. At least for bowser, I have seen one where when declined, he says something along "bah, no one recognizes greatness when they see it", though the exact line eludes my memory.
