      Thank you mate. If you know your camera well then it’s fun shooting in built up areas. ✌️

      I agree mate. I didn’t grow up with film photography even though I’m old enough to. ✌️

    So many quirky characters. Love the monochrome. That little camera has a smooth feeling.
    I went for a photo walk through Blacktown today. So many "QUIRKY" characters that I was too scared to get the camera out of my back pack. Not one photo. Sad really. Mental health and drugs are so bad right now. Crazy people everywhere. Same at Parramatta.

      Parramatta, in my opinion is almost lifeless for photography.
      I’m sure that local photographers could prove otherwise, and I hope that I’m wrong, however that’s how I see it.
      Perhaps when the light rail construction is completed it will change.
      I would say to you that you should take the camera out, push up the shutter speed and shoot discreetly… it’ll take you to the edge man. 😉✌️

    Awesome Roger !!! For those of us who's early childhood years were captured in black and white photos, these photos brings back memories... but I also kept giggling... seeing so many people in your shots, ignoring their surroundings with their noses in their phones 😁😂 Oh I wish I had half your photography talent and knowledge 👊😎👍

      Thank you for the kind words, sir.
      I am fascinated by monochrome images, particularly ones from decades ago.
      I wish that I photographed in my youth, I am now trying to document my time in the hope of being able to fondly look back upon them into the future. ✌️

    Love how you have processed the images - mind sharing your technique to get them to look like that?

    • @rogerbrooksfilms
      @rogerbrooksfilms  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you. I always do basic adjustments in Lightroom first, then I usually like to edit in Silver Efex Pro for my monochrome pictures, then back to Lightroom if I choose to do some dodging and burning to help create focus in specific areas.

    I don't know what camera setup you were using at the start of this video - but WOW, it looked absolutely brilliant. Love the philosophy of that camera, and terrific photos in the second half mate.

      Appreciate the kind feedback mate. The video was shot with my Fujifilm X-H2 using only window light.
      The X100 series is fantastic, I believe that the next one will be released before the middle of the year?

    As an X-T4 user who wants an X-100vi I wish the D pad was still around

    • @rogerbrooksfilms
      @rogerbrooksfilms  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jrnehoc I hear ‘ya. One of the reasons why I got the X-T5 was the d-pad, although to be honest with both the X-Pro3 and X100VI I’m now used to not having it.

    Hey bud nice stuff! Whats the recipe you're using?

    • @rogerbrooksfilms
      @rogerbrooksfilms  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks, much appreciated. These were Acros JPEG’s and then some minor global adjustments to each image.
      To be honest I can’t remember the exact tweaks within the camera to enhance the Acros effect.

    Why do most people pronounce V as "v"? It's Latin for 5.......…

    • @rogerbrooksfilms
      @rogerbrooksfilms  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I call it ‘v’ because almost everyone else does. If they were calling it 5 then I would call it 5.
      That’s why I say Vi instead of 6.
