Great tutorial. Thank you! I like the idea of attaching an object to the face. Only issue with that is coming up with an image on the spot. It would be difficult to think of an object in an instant. And when you attach it to a part of the face, it may be difficult to imagine it actually happening on the person's face. Duane sounds like Drain, and attaching a drain to the face is somewhat not easy to imagine. And recalling the name as Drain may not remind as Duane as both are different names. Another thing I am thinking about is if we have a ready made objects for each name then this would save time thinking of an object on the spot, but then again there are 1000s of names that are similar, and how do you remember 1000s objects to match it with names? It's great how you explained it and I have no doubt it would work, but I don't think it is easy. What kind of practice routine would you recommend for this method? Thanks,

Thanks for the comment. Coming up with an image on the spot is the main thing that takes practice. That said though once you start doing a bit of daily training you will see improvements quickly. Both coming up with the image and 'seeing' it happening on the person's face is a good creative exercise for your brain too. I have a list of 'ready made names' that I basically add to every time I make a new image - it doesn't have to be a physical list but just gets added to your mental image name bank. Once you get this system down and with a bit of practice it becomes easy :) You can practice every time you come across a name and a face, but if you want to see really fast improvements you can also train online for 10 or 20 minutes a day (a week or two of this you should see some decent improvements). A great place to do that is Memory League but there are plenty of other training sites as well. Hope that helps, let me know how you go and if you need more help.
