Jim, you are definitely starting to help my frustration to remember people's names. I am so embarassed when talking to people without mention the name before starting a conversation.
I had a math teacher who had a beautiful algorithm for remembering students’ names. Later I used that when working with bigger groups of students. I love your ‘suave approach’ it gives a meaning to the algorithm and it sounds sweet in my mind. So good! Thank you!:)
Thank you for this and all of your wonderful tips and tricks shared with the world. I love that final quote too!!! "We have each other's back... We have each other's brain." Jim, that's great! Grateful. ☺️
Jim Kwik exercises the brain as a membered body. It's like the brain-body has muscles like biceps, triceps, pectoral, calve muscles etc. He coaches my listening to enter the realms of the mind-gym and work out my thinking using purposeful thinking that engages repetitive doing. Kwik says practice brings progress, and it seems there's no free lunch if one wants to get better. Someone has said : we know more, than we know, that we know. I hope Jim Kwik can lend us hooks (& hangers) so we can tidy up the room in our minds, so that we don't always pile or scatter our paraphernalia. Mmh, these videos do not strain to painstakingly and analytically explain and illustrate. Coverage emphasizes reminding us what is familiar and then teaching us to train these experiences using learnable methodologies. Uh, that's for me! I do not wish nor intend to abridge his hard work and mastery. A luta continua . . .
Jim Kwik的表達真的是一種藝術,我亳無疑問地給他吸引了,So meaningful! The way Jim Kwik expresses himself is truly an art form. I am undoubtedly attracted to him. So meaningful!
Asking ppl their name origin can be tricky though. Some people are easily offended if they think you are trying to figure out their race, country of origin etc.
How to recall "suave" when say, you dont see them again for several months? This technique works brilliantly for the duration of about a week, but i find it slippery after that
Trying to learn names, ok guys remember ”SUAVE” hahah. First I said it, Then I used it, Then I thought abaout what it sounded like, All vide I saw it, Intill the end. Then I changed it :)
Half way through and still haven’t gotten to the part where you help us remember names. I don’t need a psych lesson or to know about business philosophy, just want to know how to remember a name easier.
Well I like to forget people's names on purpose 😆 like i pretend I don't know there name and I call them a different name 😆 like no really i thought there name was Anthany 😆 and someone will say there name is alex who's Anthany 😆
Jim, please take this as constructive comment: bringing a message could be so much more powerful if you would stop asking for confirmation every other sentence with the “right?” Interjection. It does not engage people, it makes the presenter less assured, in my opinion. We know you are right, stop asking us if you really are.
His choice of language and tone comes across as very endearing and patient from my perspective. I believe this approach is useful for guiding learners and audiences through a point when giving explanations of new concepts.
@@mega12194 You missed the point. Right? I think it is like this. Right? If you write it down, it is more obvious. Right? It comes across less convincing. Right? Well, that is exaggerating to drive home the point. (Right?) 😉
@@gerardzonjee It doesn’t bother me as much it is bothering you. You also have to remember the format in which this advice is presented. I could potentially see how this could be an issue if someone was talking like that in a conversation, but even then I don’t think it’s that big of an issue.
@@katrinastobie3324 Yes! Meaningful questions to help people to convey their point or to echo interest and queue you’re processing the information being send. I’m totally senang with that. Maybe I’m a stickler about crutch words in a conversation, I pick them up and try to find their meaning. Why do people say ‘you know?’, or ‘like’, or give other verbal ticks while sending information? It is the NLP of speech. I get it. But those are not meaningful questions and could be avoided in a presentation. It makes it better. Hence my first remark about constructive comment.

People remember people who remember them.. 👏.

Could you please share the algorithm?
Hello, there! Could you share that algorithm?
Yes please share it, you would help many people by doing that.
I’m substitute teaching and when I sub for several days I’m challenging myself to see how many I can remember. This will definitely help.
Thank you..with love from Mumbai(India)

Too many fear based motivators in this vid. Jim talks about remembering emotions, while getting us afraid of not being a success. Ill remember.
