CRF250L Rally MotoX Exhaust First Ride

- Join me on my first ride on Rosie the Rally after fitting a full MotoX V2 exhaust system.
I also use the TomTom Rider 400 GPS for the first time and weigh in on the "Loud Pipes Save Lives" debate.
Once you see the Darth Vader windscreen you can't unsee it.

Recognise those streets, I live the other end of your street! Mate is looking at a crf250 or 300, he's not sure which to get...
The 300 is the overall better bike. More power and lighter though some find the slip and assist clutch a liability. The 250 is cheaper and just as capable, it just lacks the nice to have things of the 300 like the extra torque, better gearing, gear indicator etc
If you've got a choice at anything like the same price then 300 of course. Ive got a 250 and it would I guess cost at least $5000 to change so no way. Not when it only cost me $7250 on the road in the first place and only has 10k km on it (plus I've invested $1400 well spent dollars in the suspension)
I just had a CRF300L as a loaner bike today while my Africa twin was being serviced, did 250k's on the back roads just south of Port Waikato, i know what you mean about the sewing machine engine, i had sooooooooo much fun today on that bike! Certainly could have done with a louder exhaust! That seat though! My arse after 3 hours!
Haha yeah the seats aren’t amazing. I’ve kinda limited my riding on my 250 Rally a bit this year since breaking my tailbone in March. You can definitely have big fun on small bikes these days. Even the Enfield Scram 411 is proving to be a giggle
I stopped getting a sore arse (or even more, upper thighs) sometime around 9000 or 10000 ks on the 250 Rally. Seat broke in?
Are you getting your ecu flashed?
It’s something I’m considering. With Christmas just around the corner it won’t happen this year though.
